The main parking lot was full when we arrived, but the overflow parking was surprisingly easy. There was someone at the entrance directing cars, handing out the shuttle address, and answering questions. The free shuttle arrived within minutes, had air conditioning, and dropped us off right at the lake. The atmosphere is what makes this place special. It's clean, family-friendly, and surrounded by beautiful mountain scenery. You can bring your own kayak, paddleboard, canoe, or other non-motorized watercraft, or rent one there. Life jackets are required and rentals have time limits, but everything was well organized. The water was a little browner than I expected, with some natural tree limbs and debris floating around, and swimming isn't allowed. That said, it didn't take away from the experience. Most people were fishing, paddling around with friends, or simply floating and soaking in the views. If you're looking for a peaceful way to spend an afternoon outdoors, this is a great spot. I had a really good time and will definitely be back.

They made you pay $45 to wash off your board that was mandatory. They told us that we had to pay cash only, even though they said credit card was an option. Don't plan on relaxing and or enjoying time at this lake.

Management made light of it instead of handling it, and the student later got worse and they had to make my wife stay locked in a classroom for 4 hours until they could get the person to leave. Too crazy of a story to post the whole thing here. We couldn't get a permanent restraining order because they conveniently "lost" the security footage. Not to mention all the catty/shady/inhumane people working there that are trying to sweep it under the rug instead of owning their failure to protect my wife. All the way up the chain. BE WARNED, THESE PEOPLE ONLY CARE ABOUT COVERING THEIR OWN A$$ES.

She made us feel safe and comfortable from the very beginning, and gave clear instructions so we always knew what to do. She tailored our ride to how "spicy" we wanted to make it, so since it was our first time rafting, that made us feel great. The trip was the perfect level of excitement for us as beginners. It was fun, thrilling, and adventurous without ever feeling overwhelming. My sons, ages 10 and 13, had an absolute blast and want to plan another trip back. We even got to see a bald eagle along the river, it was phenomenal. The weather was perfect, and the whole experience was incredibly well organized. It's also just under two hours from Denver, making it a great day trip. We really appreciated the free parking, and they kept our car keys safely in the office while we were out on the river. We felt completely comfortable leaving everything else locked in our car. We couldn't have asked for a better first rafting experience. We would absolutely recommend them to anyone, especially families and first-time rafters. Definitely opt for the photo package too - the pictures we received were stunning and memorable. Huge thanks to Kayla and the Liquid Descent team!

If you have a hard time walking, I would recommend not coming here because it takes a lot of walking to get from parking to Red Rocks. Lots of stairs. I was impressed with the diverse food options for a concert venue: empanadas, BBQ, Greek, burgers, pizza, hot dogs....Based on a recommendation, I took a shuttle to and from Red Rocks because I heard that trying to get an Uber after the show is a nightmare. The staff was great. It's fun to come here during the day too and hike the trails at the park. It's beautiful. They close the amphitheatre on days when there is a concert so beware.

Parking can be tough here, and getting out after a show is very challenging by car or bus. Food options are limited. Mostly concession-style food aside from the restaurant that's on site. Unfortunately, I did not get to check that out during my visit. Sound quality is great here. The natural amphitheatre helps create a great sound stage. The views are incredible. The layout is pretty easy to figure out once you're inside. This place is iconic, and whether you've lived in Denver all your life or are just visiting Denver, Red Rocks is worth adding to your itinerary. Whether you're here to see a show or just checking out the amphitheatre during the day, Red Rocks should be on absolutely everyone's bucket list.
