I had such a relaxing afternoon at Evergreen Lake. It's only about 30 minutes from downtown Denver,…read moremaking it an easy getaway without spending hours in the car. The main parking lot was full when we arrived, but the overflow parking was surprisingly easy. There was someone at the entrance directing cars, handing out the shuttle address, and answering questions. The free shuttle arrived within minutes, had air conditioning, and dropped us off right at the lake. The atmosphere is what makes this place special. It's clean, family-friendly, and surrounded by beautiful mountain scenery. You can bring your own kayak, paddleboard, canoe, or other non-motorized watercraft, or rent one there. Life jackets are required and rentals have time limits, but everything was well organized. The water was a little browner than I expected, with some natural tree limbs and debris floating around, and swimming isn't allowed. That said, it didn't take away from the experience. Most people were fishing, paddling around with friends, or simply floating and soaking in the views. If you're looking for a peaceful way to spend an afternoon outdoors, this is a great spot. I had a really good time and will definitely be back.

Please stay away from paddle boarding and recreating on this lake. The lake is extremely dirty and…read morethe staff was very rude. They made you pay $45 to wash off your board that was mandatory. They told us that we had to pay cash only, even though they said credit card was an option. A pontoon boat circled around polluting the water and yelling at everyone regarding their life jackets. There is no relaxing, life jackets are mandatory at all times and being mandated by teen staff. Don't plan on relaxing and or enjoying time at this lake.

I doubt I can add anything to the discussion other than this is a wonderful concert/entertainment…read morevenue, possibly the most interesting and nicest one I have ever visited. It was crazy hot all day in downtown Denver and then somewhat chilly at the amphitheater that same night. Incredibly, I found myself wanting a sweatshirt a few times so know that the weather can be quite fickle. Parking was a breeze. Inside the venue, the line for food and drinks was very reasonable. Unfortunately, the line for the "main" merch area, near the entrance, was ridiculously long. So if you want merch, get in line sooner rather than later. I doubt there is a bad seat in this place. We were seated about 35 rows from the stage and the view was excellent. Plus, smartly, it is all stadium seating with a highly angled slope so you shouldn't worry too much if a tall person sits in front of you. We heard exiting was a horror show but it really was not that bad. The venue cleared within about 10 minutes and we probably had to wait in our car another 15 minutes before finally getting out of the lot. Talk to me about waiting multiple hours to get out of the Rose Bowl parking lot, if you really want to hear about long waits. People (me included) come from all over the country (perhaps the world) to see shows here. Is the venue spectacular? It really is. Is the sound incredible? I probably can't judge it properly but it sounded great to me. Is it worth the trip? Yes.

Great first visit to Red Rocks last week. This was a bucket list item, and I will be back often…read morefrom Oregon. The show, the color of the rocks was terrific. But what stood out to me was the friendliness and knowledge that the entire team dispayed. Incredible knowledge what was availbale, where to get it etc. The shuttle tickets that were purchased were the right ticket to Red Rocks. As I said...I will definitely be back.
