Late one evening I had a sudden complete backup of my main drain line making my toilet overflow along with the bath tub, vanity sink and kitchen sink not draining. I remembered hearing a radio ad in which Wyatt Works guaranteed to open a clogged line for only $93--and if they weren't able to do so, the service call was free. Of course I was skeptical because I know how much plumbers typically charge. But I called anyway.Josh, Dan and Kevin saved the day! They came out the next morning and brought along a camera as well as a power snake, hoping this would clear the blockage. But if not, they were ready to water jet the line. The camera showed everything clear up to the point where the main line exits through the foundation wall and connect outside to the line which runs to the sewer line along the street. That's where the blockage was caused by roots in the line which trapped material over the past 11 years and finally completely blocking it. They snaked the line clearing much of the roots and opened the line. Then to top it all off, they reset the toilet I had removed the night before--and put a new flush valve into the tank--AT NO CHARGE! Before leaving they explained exactly what needs to be done in terms of replacing the old cast iron fitting through the foundation wall with PVC and connecting it all so this problem would never reoccur. Plus this work would come with a lifetime guarantee transferable to the next owner of the home should I sell it. Josh, Dan and Kevin were conscientious about wearing booties to nor track any dirt or mud in--even their wheeled tools had covers over the tires! They put down drop cloths and kept everything clean. In an industry where plumbing contractors are abundant, it can be daunting to choose a contractor that is competent, honest, price competetive, and ethical. These guys went above and beyond helping me with an underground leak on my property that was caused by the city. Andy (the owner) came by, assessed the possible issue, troubleshooted some things, and blueprinted possible solutions...all at no charge. In the proceeding weeks that I was coordinating a repair effort with the city, Andy continued to stay in touch with me whenever I needed answers and exploratory options that I needed between working out the issue with city. He was vital at providing the guidance that I needed to getting my ordeal resolved. During the day of the repair, his team arrived and was very professional. The repair was performed as described and the cost was locked in at what I was quoted. They cleaned up after themselves, function tested the repair, and was clear to contact them if there were any issues. Despite interviewing a few different plumbing contractors to help me with my fix, I stuck with Wyattworks because they stuck with me the whole way through until I got everything resolved. They weren't the cheapest, but they were definitely the most genuine. They are family owned and have many years of experience, with a network of contacts that support a multitude of different needs. I called Wyatt on Tuesday evening. The gentleman was very courteous and said someone would call me the next day. They did but at 7 a.m. I am not complaining about the hour, I was getting dogs fed and walked so missed the call. I called back at 8:30. I spoke to a woman who explained the procedure, up front visit fee, etc. She tried to transfer me to the dispatcher to see when I could be scheduled, but the line was busy. The woman told me the dispatcher would call back in a few minutes. At 10:30 I called to find out when the dispatcher would call. The woman tried to transfer me, but, again, the line was busy but I was assured the dispatcher would call me back. At 11:20 I called again. I was transferred and finally spoke to the dispatcher. Dispatcher apologized for not calling back but explained she was assisting customers. WHAT? So I asked if Wyatt was interested in the work. Of course, she said but she was taking care of customers and that was important to Wyatt. Again. I apparently didn't qualify as a customer. I finally asked what day Wyatt intended to make itself available for this work. Since half the day was now gone I was thinking tomorrow or Friday or even Saturday. Sometime next week! Honestly, if a plumbing issue isn't enough to cause you to tear your hair out, call Wyatt and remove every strand you might have left. I have had better response from the IRS! read more

We had a blocked bathtub drain (caused by another plumber, ahem(!), who had cleared the sink drain the day before but never checked that the blockage was actually GONE out of the house drains and therefore had simply moved to the bathtub) on a Friday at 5:15 p.m. Called WyattWorks and they gave us a few options -- immediate service, next-day service, etc. I like that they (a) actually answered their phone and (b) realized that options are good, and not everything is a national emergency. We chose next-day service. We were e-mailed, texted and called to inform us of the technician's expected arrival time on Saturday. Jamal arrived right on time, was extremely polite and knowledgeable, talked us through what needed to be done, and got the job done very quickly (and neatly). He expressed concern and care for our bathtub which had been resurfaced a year ago, and there was not a nick on it when he left. This company uses Ipads, technology, and social media to make the booking and payment process quick and easy. Payment was done right on the Ipad. I like that ... we're in 2017, not 1982. Not the cheapest, but you know what? You get what you pay for, and this is the kind of service I'm willing to pay a little extra for. They hung plastic before starting the job to keep dust down. When the job was complete they dusted and wiped down EVERYTHING. I actually think it looks less dusty than when they arrived! The ultimate nightmare scenario was averted by Josh and Benjamin from WyattWorks Plumbing. It was 3 o'clock on New Years Eve and a tenant calls and tells me the bath tub shower is not draining. I put a call into Emily and she was able to get a crew out that same day to help clear the clog. The trap that Josh and Benjamin had to negotiate was extremely tight and could not be accessed with a snake. I was certain they were going to have to cut a hole in the ceiling, from the floor below, to access the line. Thankfully they had an alternate solution that did not involve removing drywall or inconveniencing the tenant. While they were at it the cleared the bathroom sink, which was also draining slowly. Once they were finished they both cleaned the entire bathroom and put everything back where it was when they got there, saving me the hassle of doing that. I have a rental property on west 32nd. Approx 2 weeks ago the tenant calls me to tell me that the sewage is backing up and is a mess in the basement. I call a plumber (not WyattWorks) who inspects things, tells me there is a garden hose that someone has stuck down the tee and sends me an invoice for almost $5k because he has to do a major excavation to get the hose out. I called WyattWorks, they route me to the owner Andy, who sends out his camera technician, who confirms that something that looks like a hose is causing an issue. Andy says he's never seen anything like it, doesn't have the tools but then makes an intro to his competitor, Jeff from Bulldog Plumbing, who has the strongest hydrojet equipment in the region. Jeff is able to blast the hose-like item, making it loose, then sticks something in (that no one else was able to do) and retrieves it... turns out it was a Hoola Hoop bent into a curved C shape! WyattWorks provided excellent professional service in resolving the leaks in our bathroom toilet and sink. Unfortunately, a corroded pipe connecting the sink and bathtub needed to be replaced after water began leaking into the living room. Alex provided excellent service from start to finish. He conducted a thorough assessment of the issue, provided us with options and the impact for each. He also shared the cost before starting any work. Alex was very professional, paid great attention to detail, was efficient with the amount of work required to resolve the problem (cutting into many layers in the ceiling and bathroom walls) - finished the extensive repair in five/six hours. In addition, after the demolition and repair, cleaned every inch of the work space and left it spotless. We had an emergency today, when a leak at our tenant's house was producing a steady sprinkling of water in the basement. I rang WyattWorks and they sent someone out within 90 minutes. Josh was the technician, who first of all shut off the water and diagnosed the situation. He then presented me with a range of very transparent and reasonable options, with literally zero pressure to go with the more expensive ones (I went with the cheapest). He completed the job diligently and carefully and so was up and out the door, leaving no mess behind, within about an hour. There was no hiked up emergency call out fee, and in total the job cost 277 bucks (which I think is a very reasonable price indeed, especially to save my basement from becoming a remake of The Poisedon Adventure. We had a company come out who provided less than acceptable service and promised to come the following day. He never showed and wouldn't return our calls. So I called WyattSWorks Plumbing. I had Derron and Pat out yesterday to diagnose and fix an issue with our floor drain backing up. Pat was very knowledgeable as to what could be the cause of the issue and was able to correctly diagnose it within minutes. He offered 3 estimates for different services and I was able to choose the option that worked best for our budget. When Derron arrived, his professionalism and experience mirrored Pat's. They were able to clear the clog in a timely manner and showed me with the camera that the drain was open. Before leaving they cleaned the area they worked in and offered ways to prevent the issue from happening again as well as an estimate for replacing the pipe in the floor so we had an idea what we might be looking at in the future. Luke W. called 20 minutes before arriving at the committed time. Luke took the time to understand the problem and determine if there were other issues that should be looked at to maximize the service call. Primary job was to replace shower stall strainer. An estimate was provided, with options, before any work was performed. No pressure was ever applied. Luke completed the work in about three hours and walked me through the repairs and provided some maintenance advice. Luke also offered assistance with replacing sink plugs--with plugs I already had on hand. He was both polite and helpful--even enduring our over protective yorkie in the process.
