I do not recommend this hotel. The pictures are not a clear reflection. The floors in the room had clearly not been vacuumed in a while, the sheets were stained, there were large, full trash bags sitting beside the vending machines, hundreds...yes, hundreds of mattresses tossed outside the building and in the pool room, people smoking weed in the lobby, groups loitering in the parking lot that who were not staying at the hotel and loud noise coming from 2 different rooms, that were not handicap, however they had doorbells on the door. This hotel is super special. From the outside it reminds you of a bygone era of roadside class and sophistication, but as you pull in and notice the details, it's more reminiscent of a pit of hell that you could only would imagine in a horror movie thats on at 3am on TNT. The lady at the check in was super nice to refund us though when she realized that our door didn't lock and there was blood on the pillows and a blood stain in between the beds as well. Also, a thin layer of dust covered the entire room. But the mini fridge did hold all our leftovers from the BBQ spot, so that was also nice. I bet they are still in there though as we left them when we ran out. I bet traveling clowns love it here. read more

This place is beyond filthy! Every amenity is out of order or not available. This seems to be the normal and they have no intentions of changing it. Elevators dont work and we decided to park by the stairwell closer to our room. After returning late from a ball game, our key would not let us enter. We entered through the front and notice on the way to our room, the exit door was chained and locked from the inside. All exit doors were chained and locked. So one exit in the entire hotel. Even worse, a disabled woman was checking in and they didnt know how they were going to help her get the 2nd floor without an elevator! What would happen in an emergency? It is a very dangerous place that needs to be shutdown immediately. Obviously, the good reviews were people paid. Going to wash my hands again. read more

Do not stay here for your safety. This is definitely not a Wyndham Garden hotel. The signage says Fairfield. This hotel is extremely dirty. The elevator doesn't run, there is construction debris that you have to walk through to get to the stairs. The rooms wreak of cigarettes, yet they claim we are the first ones to stay in them. The pictures they post are NOT FROM THIS HOTEL. Rooms are poorly lit and straight out of a 1990s movie. This is a scam. They placed us on the fourth floor and told us to use the elevators. When reporting elevators don't work, staff denied they weren't working. All 1st floor exterior doors are propped open by staff. NO security from outside visitors or stopping drifters from stopping at your room as no doors are locked in the building. Overall scammed out of money through Expedia and through the hotel. I've stayed at sketchy hotels/motels and this is by far the worst hotel I've ever stayed at. This place is incredibly disgusting, like no one ever cleans here. Every. Single. Thing. Is disgusting here. The sheets are gross and furniture looks like they've been splooged on. The elevators are also real sketchy, a huge majority of the buttons are literally taped up and I question if I'm gonna get out of the elevator alive. Been awhile since I've reviewed a hotel but this one, I shoulda checked Yelp before booking ! Place was dirty , our room had wet floors and clearly water saturated drywall. The ac unit was awful, and the "breakfast" was pitiful. I'm talking some apples and mini cinnamon rolls. That's it. Doors slamming and I mean SLAMMING all night long , please install some type of device to slow the doors down ? The most disappointing aspect was how unclean everything looked and felt. We found multiple dead and live roaches in the bathroom and 1 in the fridge. The sheets to the bed had stains in multiple different spots. The shower curtain had a stain on it. The floors were not clean. We tried communicating with a maid but he didn't not speak any English. We requested more towels because the ones we had in our room had stains. The new towels ended up having stains on them as well. My husband and I were supposed to enjoy our Christmas with our family but were extremely bummed out about the hotel to the point where we were going to leave and pay for another hotel. Unfortunately do to expenses we could not and had to stick it out. The pictures online looked nothing like our room, don't let them fool you. One of the rooms next to us was listening to music at early times in the morning. I would NOT recommend anyone staying here no matter how cheap it may seem. I posted a few pictures but wish I would have taken more to show exactly how bad it was. I spent two nights here, a week a part. A "deal" online via a third party site. I had to switch rooms, twice, due to an uncleaned room. The front desk was nice and "no problem/ no questions asked" to switch rooms, twice. Wyndham Garden in name only. This hotel An older hotel that has remodeled and rebranded. Unfortunately, the remodeling needs to be redone. It wasn't bad, but alot of bad sheetrock work, broken elevator(s), and broken security locks on the door room. I can see they tried repairs, DIY-style. This hotel really makes we question the Wyndham- brand. First visit; A janky elevator (broken control panel, missing ceiling panel, and shakiness). Two elevators but was never lucky to get a ride in Elevator #1. First room hadn't been cleaned. Some trash, sticky bathroom floors, and two doors with broken security door latches. One door had several screw holes in attempts to fix the latch. Sign of the maintenance? Or sign of the area? Front desk had no problem on getting us a new room. I noticed the couple who had checked-in after us apparently needed to swap rooms. The new room was cleaned, but it also had broken security latches. Otherwise, the room quality was surprisingly good. Decent bed with a handful of decent pillows. Passed on breakfast, there's a convenient I-Hop nearby. Second Visit; First room assigned was the same room a week prior. Similar uncleaned condition. Almost as if this room hadn't been cleaned in a week. Thankfully, no problem on switching rooms. Elevator issue "addressed with a "out-of-order sign, use the service elevator down the hall" sign. However, I couldn't easily find the service elevator and used the regular elevator. They didn't even turn off the broken elevator, Elevator #2! Thankfully, the new room was on the first room and it was decent. Well, I spent too much time rambling about this place. read more

This was the nastiest hotel I've ever stayed in. The photos in the main post must be a staged room that no one can have. The hotel was in complete disarray, and totally run down. Only one elevator was working but wouldn't stop on 2nd floor (we of course were on the 2nd floor). The hotel smelled dirty. Our room was so dirty on the floor that I had to clean it just to not smell it. When I asked the front desk for more towels and a spray cleaner to clean our room she didn't seem surprised and just handed us a spray bottle and towels. The shower curtain was the nastiest thing I've ever seen. The bed had things on it I didn't want to know about. There was pee on the floor and trash. If we didn't have 5 hours to drive still we would have just continued our drive home. Our room also had ants in the bathroom. read more

Greeted by plastic buckets in the lobby to catch water falling from the ceiling, elevator held together by blue painters' tape (too cheap for Duct Tape apparently), overall damp and musty smell. No fire alarm in our room, crack in bathroom sink, even with no smoking room was a ashtray. Wall had major damage. Planned to stay at this hotel for a wedding. When we arrived I was given a shot at 3 different rooms in abysmal condition. Walking to the rooms the doors were open, when peeking inside the beds were obviously recently used.... Beds unmade, tvs on and wet towels on the floor. I don't like to assume, but judging by the creatures walking around I do assume there may be a hourly rate being utilized. This was on JAN 10 25'. To add fuel to the fire, the desk associate was quite rude and dismissive. For this place to use the Wyndham, is a giant stain on that name. read more

I am sorry to say I did not look at the reviews before I booked. It looked good online so I booked. I arrived at 12::00 am so I was tired. Upon my arrival I noticed it looked a little worn out but it was dark so I really could t see much. I got to the front desk and the gentleman was ok. When asked about the area he said he didn't know much. He only lived a few miles around but anyway. I'll get to the specifics.... Very dated but that's not the concern, the room was musty smelling, forgot to vacuum, the counters were not totally wiped down, phone didn't work, carpet was very dirty and stained . Up keep on maintenance was minimal at best. The door leading out to parking lot was always opened even though there was a sign stating this door is always locked use your key... The fitness room was out of service and there is so many more things to say but you get the point. I would NEVER stay here again. The room charges were cheap so that old saying holds true"you get what you pay for". I would say even though it's dated you could at least clean the place up , basic things like vacuum carpet, mop floors etc. They must not have anyone in charge of housekeeping and no one checking the maids work... Very sad because I have stayed at other Wyndham Hotels and they were always nice. Do me a favor pass this hotel up.... read more

The gal working the areA claimed it was due to COVID ( this is our fourth hotel in as many days - the previous three were well stocked). minus -10 would be more appropriate. what a rotten motel my wife and i have stayed at lot of motels during our travels between chicago and beaumont, texas. we made some route changes, and decided to stay the night intexarkana, tx. without exception, the very worst motel ever. dirty, smelly, toilet was louder that a locomotive, carpets dirty, no ironing board, and entering the room, it was all i could do to force the door open. the front desk clerk was from a foreign country and had to ask for everything to be repeated , slowly and clearly. clerk had zero knowledge of local restaurants. breakfast was easy to pass up. yuck ! we couldn't wait to pack up and leave. no way will we ever stay here again. read more

I had a very good stay here while on business in Texarkana despite a terrible rainstorm that pretty much turned the parking lot into a small swamp. Nonetheless, the Wyndham Garden provided much of what I needed in terms of room accommodations and comfort, pleasant customer service, a good location to I-30, and a relaxing stay. My only complaint was in finding the remnants of small cheetos snacks that had been grinded into the floor by the prior guest that the housekeeper couldn't pick up (I cleaned it instead). No big deal. Breakfast was pretty decent with choices of French toast sticks, sausage, cereals, etc. The layout of the breakfast area was impressive, of which it seems like it can hold 50-60 people at any given time. While I didn't use the amenities (there is a pool, yet the hot tub was out of order), there is a good-sized business office adjacent to the front entrance doorway. There are also ballrooms and other rooms that you can book & reserve for any business functions, of which I found to be a useful accommodation. I will certainly be back. read more

Simply awful. At 4:30 p.m. rooms were not ready. I returned to find a dismal room in need of repair, to say the least. Enjoyed looking at the abandoned vehicle on blocks in the back, or the non-functioning pool with a broken window, or the ratty carpet throughout. My door's lock had been pried off and replaced with a slider bolt that slid into a plumber's strap. At first the door wouldn't even lock without jiggling the handle. Wish I could give negative 10 star review. Just wow. My family & I checked in last night around 8 PM. Everything seemed off from the very beginning. Buckets catching water dripping from the ceiling. A little out of our comfort zone but it was only one night for a few hours & considering we wouldn't get our money back, we tried our luck. MISTAKE! Laid down about 11 & by 11:30 my shoulder was itching. I got up & shined my flash light on my pillow. A bed bug. My shoulder welped up. We went down to the front desk, they offered to move us rooms. We agreed because we had 3 young children & 2 adults asleep in our second room & had to be up at the butt crack of dawn. We checked the second room thoroughly, & decided to stay. Then 30 minutes later told if we wanted a refund we needed to leave immediately. In the middle of the night? 5 adults, & 5 children, 3 hours away from home? Crack heads everywhere, dogs all throughout the hotel. Disgusting place. Absolutely the worst hotel I've ever stayed in & I will never stay in another Wyndham hotel again, i don't care how nice it is. I don't know how they have any good ratings. We rented two rooms and they were BOTH FILTHY. The sheets were visibly stained, their was mold around and on the Ac vent, the furniture had stains, The room smelled of mold and urine, the toilets had fecal matter and urine on and in them (Sorry we didn't have a picture of the feces. My son flushed it before we got to it ). We left after being told by the front desk that they could give us another room but it would likely be the same condition. The hotel we ended up staying in said this Wyndham location has a reputation for being filthy. We had to spend the next day trying to get our money back and then we were harassed and lambasted by the general manager saying we staged the filth in the room to receive free goods. I guess the plethora of other bad reviews ALL STAGED their pictures too. Wake up Wyndham, you have a horrible representation of your brand in this hotel and general manager!!! read more

This Hotel is just OK. it was a new hotel a few years ago; we stayed here just after it opened. In the meantime it has really gone downhill. The rooms already look beat up and there's a lot of little things that, to me, signal management is not trying to keep up standards. I think you can do better for the same or slightly higher price in the area. The desk lamp doesn't even have a shade on it - just a bulb hanging off the socket. The chair in the room has some stains on it. I'd be putting a towel down before sitting in that one. The coffee at breakfast is so weak it's more like flavored water. The coffee maker in the room is missing the tray to hold the coffee packet. The microwave is not plugged in and you'd have to move the massive dresser to get back to the plugs. In sum it's price is competitive with other similar level hotels in the area- but it's not up to Wyndham Garden standards; I'd expect this in a truly budget motel. Recommend you look elsewhere. We sure will next time we are traveling this way. read more

I'll give one star because the lady at the front desk was nice. Other than that, I'd suggest you stay elsewhere! We were exhausted after driving all day and the last hour was in pouring rain so we just wanted a clean room to sleep in for the night. Went to our room and it hadn't been vacuumed. Smelled musty. Chewed up carpet by the bathroom door. We actually checked for bed bugs because we were grossed out by the state of the room. We were so tired though that we said if we could just circulate the air it might be ok to just get a little sleep before continuing our road trip. Well, the a/c unit didn't work! Called the front desk and she said to use the thermostat on the wall. Nope, that didn't work either! Back to the front desk and she gave us a key to a new room. Went to look at it first. On the way there we passed a room that had the door cracked open and could hear growling/ barking dogs inside. Hurried past and got to the new room and when we stepped in we immediately said oh hell no and turned around and left. This room didn't have comforters on the beds but instead had cheap, fuzzy blue blankets, one of which had a huge white spot on it that looked like semen! This room was just as dirty and run down as the first one. When we went down to the front desk and said no way we can't stay here the lady at the front desk said " I understand." We did NOT stay here and I suggest you don't even waste your time. read more

We went back to the desk and the clerk, named Shawn told us she thought that it was a handicapped room. When she tried to find us a handicapped room, she apologized and said they didn't have a clean room available because they only have one washer and dryer. Do not stay at this hotel. It is circling the drain about to go out of business and it shows. They couldn't clean one room with two weeks advance notice?
