I called to reschedule an appointment only to find that they did not take my insurance so just decided to cancel the appointment with no phone call - nothing. Very difficult to deal with this practice. There is no sense of urgency no matter what your situation is. My brother is a patient at this practice. He is severely advanced COPD. Shore Pulmonary could care less. The Brick office staff is rude and act basically uneducated. When you call for an appointment be prepared to be offered an appointment 2-3 months out. There are many Doctors involved with this practice, so why the long wait? We said we would see any one of the Doctors on staff and we were told we couldn't do that!!! No changing Doctors! But when he was in the hospital, my brother saw a different Doctor EVERY DAY!!! His Pulmonologist saw him once in the hospital, she ran in his room and said she would go look at the CT scan and never came back! They definitely deviate from the standard of practice..so beware! Should you choose to use this group be prepared for an extremely rude office staff, long wait time to obtain an appointment and a come what may attitude! Dr and her assistant are awesome very thorough and care about you. The communication with staff needs lots of work. After calling and leaving messages with the DRs staff with questions about medication that was giving me horrible side effects, I stopped taking it on my own and the effects slowly went away. I told the Dr at my appt. she never got the message. Then calling and getting no call back about my sleep study device, which was supposed to be ordered, my wife called the sleep study place and they never heard of me. Now 4 weeks of waiting for my Cpap and calling the office multipole times with no call back about where it was, she finally got a call back and they said it was ordered. she called the company, and they said they spoke to me and I told them I wanted to think about it first. They never called me, and I never spoke to anyone about the machine except the drs assistant that said he was going to have one sent to me and i said ok. lol probably not the drs fault. i have 1 more appt then I'm finding a different dr. read more

Dr Consentino is a kind, intelligent and caring doctor. The staff at the Brick office are rude and not kind. a simple hello would be nice. I had an appt and was told by the staff I didn't. They didn't even bother to look at my records to see I just got out of the hospital with pneumonia. read more

The staff was good and the Dr. was everything one could hope for - extremely caring, very informative, and humorous. I had an appointment scheduled and the office sent me paperwork to complete prior to my appointment. However, the paperwork belonged to another patient, was completely filled out with all his personal health and medical information. Terrible HIPAA violation. The physician I saw was minimally helpful and provided no useful information, instructions or advice. The office staff was rude, inattentive, and preoccupied with chatting with each other rather than assisting the patient. Will not be returning. read more

I am writing this due to all the negative reviews. I made an appointment here not expecting much because of the reviews and didn't really care because all I really wanted was a lung test. I found all the staff professional, courteous and knew how to administer the tests. I had Dr. Elsawaf assigned to meet with me. I found he had a great down to earth personality, great listener and efficient in his job. I would definitely go back to him in the future although I hope I don't have to. Only negative is that you may have to wait awhile but I didn't mind. read more

I had a great doctor there, but the staff was always horrible. I got a notice from my pharmacy that my prescription is up for renewal. I called shore pulmonary and they told me that my doctor is no longer there. They said they notified everyone by phone and letter. This is a complete lie, as I received neither and there's no way I would have missed it. Now, in order to get my medication (that I need and have been on for years), I need to see a new doctor there, and the next available appointment is not until April, which is 3 months from now. read more

horrible, the front desk has no idea what they are doing, they give you a return appointment card and when you come back they show no appointment, you show them the card and say you called and canceled when you did not. Dr khan does not know how to write an accurate prescription. You call to ask a question about your sleep study and get a very rude lady that's so mean, its unbelievable. read more

My husband has been a patient for many years, and when he just had appt. in the office things were ok. Now he is advanced in his Emphysema and constantly hospitalized. I am so disapppointed with this office as no one ever ever calls me back and no one answers so I have to just leave messages. For the past 8 months no doctor has ever returned my messages. When one has a terminally ill husband and needs questions answered it is so disturbing that the doctors do not care enough to return my messages. Their billing is another problem. I pay all my bills the day I receive them, but they keep billing me for a bill I paid many months ago even after mailing my cancelled checks. It is so frustrating and I can not get that billing resolved. I can afford to pay it , but it is the principle of the situation because I did pay it and should not have to pay it again. At this stage I just feel take me to court because I have the proof that I paid it. The amt. in question is so so tiny that I can not believe they just don't adjust it . I have tried to look into another pulmonary practice in the area but they all have terrible reviews. I have been seeing this group, Dr. dr. Gallagher to be specific. And three years ago he punctured my lung, and now claims he can no longer take care of me because he cannot help me with my condition he does not know what to do any longer he gives up as part of his own words. My father also had dealings with this office and during a procedure they punctured his long as well. This doctor was also taking care of my sleep apnea issues. I don't believe or feel in my opinion that this doctor is doing the right thing I never sued over the punctured lung and it seems now that the timeframe for suing him is over he does not care any longer. I do not recommend anyone seeing this group of doctors apparently Calvin is more important to him at this time than anything else. They know due to my lung disease i show signs of this COVID long before it became a thing and insists that i get a could test. I do not have COVID, nor have i ever gotten the virus, but he is refusing to help he at this point and I am extremely disappointed and frustrated with this. I suggest if you need a doctor for you pulmonary needs you do not see this group. Again I've been a patient of this group for over 5 years and am finding another one at this point. read more

If I could give them a big fat zero I would but there's no spot. . I have been a patient at Shore Pulmonary for 3 years. My first doctor was Dr. Costanza who is a well qualified pulmonologist. Unfortunately he mysteriously disappeared from the practice. I was told he was strictly involved in the hospital attending to patients... way before Covid . Then the virus hit and was told he was still at hospital. He has never returned since . I was then assigned to Dr. Elswaf (sp?) I saw him once he was rude and condescending. Not a good fit for me but I was going to stay with him and give another chance to redeem himself. Well... I never had that opportunity. They have cancelled at least five appointments over the past 9 months with the excuse his schedule changed and he had to be at the hospital that day. My next appointment was scheduled for April 24th..well you guessed right!!! Got that same phone call this week. As the woman started to speak I said, Please give me the honors.... you're calling to cancel my appointment because he's at the hospital that day? She said yes and I can reschedule.. i told her not to bother. I won't be returning to any doctor in that practice. LIARS read more
