I went 2 times to this business, once in November and once in January. In November it was fine, I went with my sister on the recommendation of my friend who is a long time client. We had Julie and Hannah. Julie seemed to keep Hannah honest for our services (sister had pedi, I had gel mani and pedi). When I went by myself in January I had Julie. I came in wearing boots after a long day but had sandals in my car. I specifically asked NOT for gel for my pedicure and got the second upgrade. She gave me one more upgrade than I asked for but charged me without itemized receipt. She left a callous barely touched. She started smooth talking me and when I was looking at my phone she started putting gel on. When I looked down she said something about me wearing boots so it automatically had to be gel. She didn't offer the slip one from the store and charged me an additional $20. My bill came out to be over $65 when it should have been $45. And now I'm stuck in a gel loop because they will probably charge me again to take it off. This is an unfair practice and I'm thinking of disputing it with my CC company unless I get a resolution. Additionally, I totally heard Hannah trash talking about me in Vietnamese to her college when she was putting on the gel and it made it seem like she was making fun of me. I want them to take off my gel for free. Please get back to me or I'm going to strongly recommend not going to this place. That's fine, but then when my wife requested certain things all of a sudden they spoke English and said they wouldn't honor the prices on the menu...all of a sudden they had gone up...Definitely can't recommend a place that does business like that. read more

Came here to get my nails done and payed $77 for a crappy job. They were fine until 5 days later my acrylic is chipping and nails are breaking. Usually a full set can last me up to a month. It hasn't even been a week 1/2 yet and they are already chipping and coming off. The design I asked for was small red Valentine's day miniature hearts. Can't be that difficult, right? I feel like my blind grandmother could do that with her eyes closed. Came back to get it fixed, they fixed it.... now the heart is wayyy bigger than the rest. Edited to add: After speaking the the owner, they have made it clear that their workers, should they not like the working environment, can go work at one of the many salons in town! They believe humiliation and verbal abuse is ok to ensure their workers have a high standard of work. Don't come here! This is your warning. I almost never advocate in a poor manner but this time I have no other choice. There are some really attentive and sweet techs that work here that need to go to a different salon. The shop manager here badgers, embarrasses, rushes, humiliates and verbally abuses the techs here. I can't imagine the anxiety these techs must have knowing they need a job. I could not even enjoy my services because the entire time the shop manager was scolding and rushing my tech. Relentless. She was literally right over my bench that was adjoined by another guest. My tech did a fabulous job and took her time with my nail beds but I'd never come back here knowing I'm supporting such horrible working conditions. They also do not sanitize cuticle trimmers after each guest. They simply wipe them off and put them back in their drawers. Verbal abuse is never ok. Not in any language! Support local business but be sure to support a healthy work environment as well! read more

I popped in for a quick polish change on my toes. The atmosphere is fantastic. Probably one of the most posh nail salons I've been to that was not a high end spa. Having said that their work fell flat. A simple polish change left my toes drab. She filed my nails and did a half buff leaving debris that ended up in the polish so my nails are not smooth. While I like the color I chose the polish itself was thin and didn't coat well which is not normal for OPI. I can't tell if it was thinned out or old but the finish was dull even with a top coat. I now need to have them redone so I will try somewhere else next time. The staff was nice I'm just not confident in their abilities. read more

Much of your experience here depends on who you see while here. I've been on numerous occasions and have narrowed down two of the best. I haven't caught either of their names but I believe the woman who is amazing is also the owner. There is a male that is also very amazing and very mindful of your experience there. However when I've been stuck with other technicians the jobs were horrible. I can say try to avoid the woman with reddish hair.... she's rude, rushes you, and she painted my nails terribly. The interior is what impresses me the most. I love the decor and atmosphere. It's clean, well organized and they have complimentary beverages. I always get a UV Gel Polish manicure and can't comment on how the acrylics are done, etc. like I said if you see the right person, it's definitely worth going. This is a great nail bar. Lovely atmosphere and service. All the workers are excellent. Chris and Johnny are my favorites though. I've been a customer since they first opened and I've seen improvements and consistency in excellent service. Prices are average. Service is above average. I recommend the "Dip" nail service. I'd been using gel nails for years and my nails we just not recovering well- brittle, thin, and weak. After 3 times with Dip my nails are stronger and longer than they have been in years. Chris recommended and encouraged me to give it a try- I was skeptical. Now I'm a believer. My last application lasted 28 days! The owner is full of greed(money hungry) went into today needed a full set same color polish (gel) and paid $80.00 the last time I went and got a full set same color polish (gel) I was told to pay $100.00. Took my niece here and it was the worst gel manicure we've ever had. Manicures were quick. No hand massage, just slopped lotion on. Nail color selection was VERY small and didn't even have a dark pearly purple like I wanted , and 2 of my fingers are chipping already. For $30 each, I would expect much more. I am currently sitting through the most uncomfortable pedicure at the moment. Between passive aggressively flicking my toes to show this woman that she hurting me & angry holes I'm staring through her head, this woman is rushing the hell out of my pedicure. Now a regular pedicure says $25 but somehow, someway, it comes up to $28. If you need your heels scrubbed efficiently, be prepared to pay $35 & whatever dumbass fee they add on to that. My second problem is every time I come here, whomever did my nails before, isn't here. I ask for schedules & abide by them but nope, it's like a constant rotation. So be prepared with the anxiety of someone new touching your nails EVERY TIME YOU GO TO DO THEM. I've found that the men do a better job at doing your nails tho. The place is nice & fancy. Out of the handful of times I've been here, been offered water once. I didn't even know they offered anything til today lmao. So yea... come at your own risk. Ok so update. Now that I'm done. They charged me for longer nails although the filed my nails back down to the length they were before. A girl came with me went & got a deluxe pedicure which in the books says $35, she was charged $50 something. When asked why, she was told it's $20 to polish your toes! Even though they were severely damaged from the poorly done nails. I was unsure about colors being dip powder is always different than you think. So she took the time to test out two colors so I could make a choice I was happy with. We spoke the entire time and it was such a wonderful experience. I am actually so excited to go back. I don't usually leave negative comments, as this doesn't make a business look good, BUT, this salon is something else and people need to know about it and AVOID IT. The customer service in this salon is absolutely atrocious. They don't give a crap about customers, only about money. I am a returning customer and made an appointment ahead of time, but arrived 5 minutes late. The tech already took a walk-in, without even giving a courtesy call to make sure I'm still coming. After telling her this is not how you treat a returning customer she sent me to her nasty manager. She hardly spoke English, waived her hands and said I can reschedule to a later time/date. From my previous times at that salon, I saw appointments constantly being double booked and customers waiting all the time. This place is absolutely nasty. If they cared about keeping their customers they would learn how to do a better job. Also, their techs are subpar, to say the least. Most of them can't replicate a simple design from a picture. And they always rush to get to the next customer. It's absolutely infuriating. Definitely look for another salon. This place is not worth anyone's time or money. read more

The pedicure I chose from their beautifully printed menu is no where near the pedicure I am receiving. I have questioned my technician person and he seems less than enthusiastic about answering my very valid questions. The massage chair does lot work and the wine is hot. 1st visit for gel mani the visit was ok nothing special. The person who performed my initial service was pleasant. However, I was left with a sharp ridge at my cuticle bed that within 4days started to peel. I returned for a repair and was told I would need to wait approximately 45 minutes to come back. I didn't have anywhere to be so decided to wait. While waiting, they took three walk-ins for full mani/pedi. Guess that's where the money was - they didn't need to wait. Decided I would find someone else to do the repair and left. If general note: The prices where steep despite the 20% discount blasted on the front window for all services. I guess you needed to specifically request the discount. Presumed it would be automatic, I didn't get one. The woman who appears to be front end customer service is far from friendly. On both occasions, she was not gracious and seemed to be completely aggravated that she has to greet me the customer and get off her cell phone to assist. She almost seems to hide behind the tall reception counter. As a new salon, I'd expect much more. For what it's worth I won't be a return customer. read more

My son (with Down syndrome and autism) and I, came to get pedicures here today. It was an amazing experience for his first time getting a pedicure. My son's toes were cracking and had terrible calluses and the person who did his feet was so patient, kind and compassionate. It will be worth the drive to Wake Forest if you don't live here. It's a no for me. I saw the spotty reviews and still decided to give this place a try bc I was doing some shopping next door and I needed a fill in BADLY. I got a fill in with gel polish and it is not satisfactory to say the least. Nails are uneven and bubbly if that makes sense. I had an older lady technician and didn't have the heart to complain. I just let it go, it'll do til I can get back to my usual salon next week. read more
