GEC staff was amazing from day 1 and willing to accommodate all of my needs. I arrived in Michigan and met with the barn manager, Jenna, who was equally as nice and attentive as those I spoke to on the phone. Once my horse arrived he was a little underweight and the staff at Groveland went ABOVE AND BEYOND to get him back up to weight. I am so happy with my choice! That's what I get to do here. I've ridden many of the horses and ponies and have always felt safe. Shae owns the barn, trains the horses, and teaches lessons. All of her horses are loved, well-cared for, and do well with riders at all levels. She is a patient instructor, cares about her clients, and is passionate about her business and horses in general. She's also a certified saddle fitter. Weather-permitting, lessons are outside year round. From the outdoor arena, there's a lovely view of a beautiful grassy field where the horses love to graze with a gorgeous tree-lined backdrop. During inclement weather (when it's simply too cold or rainy), there's a very nice, large indoor arena. Lessons are private and semi-private and priced fairly. Shae teaches all ages. I am super happy at this barn. I think the world of Shae as an instructor, trainer, business owner, and person. You're in good hands here, and if you enjoy it half as much as I do, your life will be brighter when you take equestrian lessons at Free Spirit .

Vicki from Rolling Acres Stable was able to save us a spot in advance. She was good in communicating, and our horse ended up boarding at her place for 6 months. Vicki has lots of experience with horses, and was very helpful in getting our horse settled. She typically keeps 2 horses together in a paddock, and tries to make it a good pairing. Our horse was challenging, but Vicki still did extra services for her (like giving wormer in the spring). I found Vicki to be kind and helpful, and a good source of information about our new state. The barn facilities were safe and in good repair. Highly recommended!
