This a cool neighborhood bar! Nothing fancy but great spot with outdoor seating too. We came for…read morea soccer game a few weeks ago and learned the place has some history behind it too. The service was quick and attentive. My husband had a few beers which he said were good. I didn't feel like drinking but I did have cheese fries and the fried cauliflower. The cheese fries were with a yummy cheese sauce-the old school yellow Velveeta-like kind, so good. The cauliflower was delicious-perfectly seasoned with the buffalo sauce. They had live music in the back when we were here but we stayed inside to watch the game.

It has this old world feel to it, like it's been around since the 1900's. Although it isn't that old. Several TV's available to watch sports. Pub food at its finest. I enjoyed my Club Sammy - it was filled with meat and I could barely get through half of it! The fries- superb! Best fries I've had in a long time. My husband had the Reuben bread was nice and fresh, thought the sandwich was good but could use more meat. He really liked the fried cheese curds as a side. Kiddo had the hot dog with cheese fries. Service was good. There was no available parking in front, but we found a spot in the back and walked in through through the back door.

They do have some nice drink specials. Food is OK, about what you'd expect from a national sports bar chain and the service is solid. They keep the place pretty clean. Utah actually has a pretty solid craft brewing scene and they have a few local brews, not nearly enough in my opinion, but I do like to sample local brews from the area when I'm in town.

What really made the experience unacceptable was when we were given a check that belonged to another table. Instead of immediately correcting the mistake, it was actually suggested that we just pay that bill because it was cheaper than ours. That was completely inappropriate and raised serious concerns about how our table was being handled. At that point, we asked to speak with a manager. The manager was quick to remove the uneaten meals from our bill, which we appreciated, but there was no genuine apology or real acknowledgment of how poor the overall experience had been. Mistakes happen, and we understand that restaurants can have difficult or busy nights. But this went well beyond a single mistake. Between the forgotten requests, cold and dry food, incorrect check, and lack of a sincere response from management, we left extremely disappointed and unlikely to return.

I went in last night and after sitting at a table close to the bar for over 10 minutes, I asked the bartender about drinks and he tried to just walk away. The waitress finally came over. She did apologize for the long wait. It wasn't very busy. Then the food. I had the fish and chips. That used to be so good! Last night the fish was dry and tasted like they hadn't changed the fryer oil for a while. So not very tasty or flakey fish like you expect. I changed the chips to onion rings. I couldn't even taste the onion only the batter. I hate to give a bad review but when the service was slow and the food was not good. It is what it is. I've always had great food and service before. They seem to be more focused on the regulars at the bar, which I understand but you will eliminate more regulars by not being good to new customers. On the positive side. The beer(Stella bottles) was good and cold! The sports on with all the viewing options is great! I will probably go back and try again since I've gone there since 2006. Crossing my fingers hopefully it will be better. I've always like their Nachos and French dip sandwiches. It is a nice sports bar with a good variety of sports on.

Everyone was friendly, thumbs up for the service. The menu was on the pricey side, but not outrageous. The music was at the perfect level, low enough to allow you to carry on a conversation without yelling. It was still noisy, though. The surprising number of kids there at lunch didn't help. TVs hung from the walls, with the volume off. I ordered baked wings, naked with Cajun dry rub. They were slightly overcooked, otherwise the flavor was ok. Average. They weren't spicy to me at all though they claim the Cajun is supposed to be. Most disappointing is how tiny the wings were. I spent most of my time searching for any meat. Seven teeny tiny wings for 12 bucks. Very disappointing. I'd love a beer. It looks like a good selection, especially for Utah. Gout though. Ugh. My score: 4.5 stars for service, one for value, one for wing size, and three stars for taste, what little meat I could find to taste. Total? Two stars.
