Saw all the reviews on this place as we were passing through. Maybe it's why we ordered ( jalapeño poppers with raspberry sauce and the Italian sliders) but it was not very good. The description on the menu made it sound amazing and then we got frozen out of the bag cooked poppers-disappointing.Then the sliders were cold with half melted Swiss on them. Fries were the best thing with salt and pepper. my husband also ordered an old fashioned and was horrible as well. Gasoline. We did initially want to try the bison burger but they didn't have any so forced to make a different choice. Waitress was great... seated quick and she was attentive. However, we wouldn't go back. My wife and I were just passing through on our way from Denver to our home in Boise. We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express in Evanston(another review)and asked Weston, the evening clerk at the hotel, where to eat. He recommended the Lincoln Highway Tavern. We walked in at about 9:40 pm. The kitche closes at 10. We wouldn't have been surprised to be turned away, but the wonderful woman covering the bar and kitchen, forties, glasses, dark hair, was very friendly and gracious. She also took excellent care of us, despite really having to hustle. I had the pulled pork tacos and my wife had the teriyaki wings. The tacos(I ordered two)were stuffed with pulled pork that was very tasty, and came with crema, a sweet relish salsa, and cheese(a slight upcharge). My tacos came with tortilla chips that were crispy and well salted. My wife liked her wings. If we're passing through again, we would definitely stay in Evanston and have a meal at Lincoln Highway Tavern. read more

Stopped in for lunch on a Sunday afternoon right about the time they opened and the place really did fill up quickly. Service was a little slow with only one server but she was busy. I was really excited to try the pork sandwich with rosemary au jus but I was really disappointed when the sandwich came out with very little, and very dry pork. The au jus was rosemary flavored oil and not at all what I'd describe as au jus. The French fries were definitely the best part of the meal and very tasty. A great dive bar but I'd probably just stick to the drinks and maybe appetizers on a return visit. read more

Stopped late night to get our road food while driving from Reno to Missouri! Quite the 3 day trek with u haul and cats in town. This was the perfect spot to recharge, stretch and get some decent food in us. Tried the sloppy bison and chili! It was the perfect mix to split between too of us. I stop at Lincoln Highway every time on my way back/to Sturgis motorcycle rally from California. I actually like this place so much that during my last 2024 trip to Sturgis, I decided to stay overnight in Evanston instead of some random place in Utah so I could have a more formal/longer dinner at the tavern! I just love the vibe, fair prices, the staff and the owner. They also offer a large selection of local whiskies. They provide more than decent bar food, a huge plus for the Saturday cook and his shishito peppers. He knows what he is doing. The new kitchen manager makes a killer chili verde and also regular chili. A Must try. Burgers are generous and juicy. The ranch has a little twist. Try it! Highly recommended! read more

This place. We drove all the way from Salt Lake City just to say we've been to Wyoming. We are on vacation from FL so we are way out of our normal dining experience. But wow! Andrea greeted us and made us feel like locals. Then we saw that she was cooking out order! Little later Jamie showed up and took over service at our table. Such friendly people. I've been going to this place the last hour and a half. The concept of the restaurant being a convenience store in its past is truly unique... easy to identify throughout the establishment. Staff was friendly and down to earth. Unfortunately the food is where this restaurant fell short. My burger was mediocre at best...a little well done but better that than the alternative.
