Road trip up Mirror Lake Highway leads into Evanston WY and was not eating Arby's and was fortunate enough to find Suds open on a Sunday. Was able to sit outside with the dog, they have two picnic tables. Ordered the blue burger and hand cut fries, burger was juicy and cooked well, did not have the homemade burger appearance but was still good, Blue cheese with the fixings. Other meal was the "Blast" a bacon, avocado, lettuce and tomato Sandwich that was also good with onion rings that were a tad oily. Dog had a plain burger for $6 and gave a paws up! Had a couple IPA's from a selection of on-tap beer that hit the spot on a warm day. Service was excellent and friendly. Did not go inside so can't speak to the decor but seemed busy, all locals for the most part, always a good sign. Will go back next time in this area. read more

This place has okay beers, sub par food, and a manager without an ounce of respect. I do not suggest eating here, especially if you are not a straight, white male aged 30-65. Wendy was my bartender/server, and she was very nice and respectful, but the manager, Ronda, went out of her way to say rude, insensitive, and offensive things about me to my face. Finding the only non-chain restaurant open on a Sunday seemed like a lottery win. You'll find a darkened bar, cool old posters of rock stars, an old guitar, and ample seating. Options to sit outside on the sidewalk are limited. But what is more limiting is the menu if you are a "healthier" diner. Good luck if you are plant based and not wanting fried foods (onion rings $12!). My husband had a burger and said it was good - which means no complaints, but nothing special. I've eaten here (in store) and been ok with the food & service, HOWEVER, Saturday we ordered take out which included two orders of onion rings with our meals. It was the worst food we've eaten that we can remember! The fries were as limp as spaghetti and the onion rings were disgustingly soggy. Apparently cooked in warm grease?!? The fish was tolerable, only because it had thin breading and apparently cooked through. On top of that, they charge a mandatory "gratuity" of 20%!! $12 to carry it from the kitchen to the counter?!?!? They should have given us the meal for free and paid me 20% to pick it up. I've been to Suds Brothers here in Evanston once before but apparently I never wrote a review for it. So I'm going to fix that now. I had two beers from this brewery. One was the Nut Brown which was okay followed by a lager which also was okay. Not the most memorable beer experience however. What I did like was the tacos that I had here which was very tasty along with a side salad. So I definitely was impressed with that(by Wyoming standards that is). We spontaneously decided to drive to Wyoming to knock another state off of our lista nd we are SO glad we did. The town/city of Evanston was extremely beautiful and gave off a hallmark movie vibe if I have ever seen one. We decided to look around and grab a bite because face it, who visits a new city and DOESN'T eat?! We saw Suds and decided, let's give it a try. SO glad we did! The restaurant/brewery gave off a super old time vibe with a number of rock and roll pictures on the wall. Our server, Trent was super attentive and talked us into ordering the spinach did and props to him - because it was FIRE. Sometimes you can never tell with dips (Chains are usually too runny) but this one was thick and actually had feta cheese put on it as well. After we ordered the blues bacon burger with beer battered fries and the cobb salad. Both were delicious and we also had a couple of beers as well. My highlight of the night was the extremely affordable growler that I was lucky enough to take home... $7!!! Who can beat that. Suds was a delight and I would definitely be back. read more

Our waiter was so friendly! And wow the chicken panini was amazing. Everything about it was tasty, and I love the bread they use. I usually hate tomatoes but they added good flavor to the panini. The fries I got were also a 10/10, highly recommend getting them with cheese. read more

The beer is good, but they don't brew it there. The food is frozen up for you. That would be totally fine, if you didn't expect to pay 60 dollars after. I asked for creole seasoning, and they gave me paprika and then charged me two dollars for it without mentioning a cost. I could have just gone and bought my own for that price. The fries are also soggy and not fried or crisped up at all I would never go there again. If you do, I'm sorry but you've never had good pub food and I'll stick by that. read more

I tried Subs Brothers a couple of times during the week. I'm glad I did as my second visit was better than the first. The first visit we got seated quickly. I ordered a Tito's on the rocks with a slice of lime and they brought me a shot of vodka. My burger was over cooked and the onions killed any other flavor it might have had. The beer battered fries were the best part of the meal. We came back two days later and it was a far better experience. I had the strawberry lemonade and it was incredibly refreshing. This time I got the burger without onions and it was cooked far better. It was juicy and flavorful. Definitely check Suds Brothers out when you are in Evanston! read more

Passing through Evanston we stopped at this lovely brewery for lunch. We arrived at peak lunch hour and the place was packed. We were seated quickly taking the last available table for awhile, so we got lucky. It took some time for the waitress to arrive but we understood. She took drink orders and they arrived quickly. She informed us that new food orders were on hold so we may have a wait. We were okay with that. It was almost an hour from the time we walked in the door to food on the table. I felt bad for the server as time delay was not her fault. She was very nice and checked on us often. We absolutely loved the decor with all the great photos of musicians from the 70's! The best music era ever!! It prompted us to look up old songs and music facts while we waited. The place was very clean and clearly a top notch brewery. Hubs loved his IPA beer. He rated his BBQ burger a 6/10, and mentioned onion rings were just okay, batter was a bit thick and greasy. I ordered the taco salad with grilled chicken. It was flavorless. No seasoning on the meat, just blah. Odd to have spring mix for the lettuce on a Mexican salad, and it was warm and mildly wilted. Very little cheese and one cherry tomato. That's it! The few tortilla chips tasted old. Included a side of guacamole, sour cream, salsa, and I asked for some ranch dressing. Overall, the beer, ambiance, cleanliness, and friendly server get high ratings. I wouldn't go back for the food. read more

We were traveling through Evanston and didn't want to eat at a fast food chain, so we opted for Suds Brothers Brewery. Three members of our party ordered the firecracker burger and beer battered fries -- they rated those four stars. They remarked that the hamburger patty was very good & juicy, and the fries were hot, crispy and delicious. Two of us ordered the French dip sandwich Philly cheesesteak style (for an additional $2) and we would rate that as two stars. It seemed to be a few deli sliced pieces roast beef topped with melted Swiss cheese, and a pinch of raw onion, raw peppers and raw mushrooms. In my opinion, save yourself the two bucks and just get the French dip sandwich. I got the sweet potato fries and I thought they were delicious. :) read more

Service is super quick and very friendly, nice clean place! Tried lager and amber, with wings, beers have a very different and fruity taste, not my flavors though some may really enjoy them. Their "World Famous Fried Cheese Curds" are a must when one is driving from Eastern Utah into the edge of Wyoming. Found this place on Yelp, and the customer service is spot on. Our waitress was a Ginger Chick who was super-friendly. This brewery is located in the small town of Evanston, where the Main Street looks like something out of a postcard from the 1950s, from the printing press to the quilting shop across the street with a hint of small modernism of a yoga shop next door that wasn't open on the Sunday we blew thru this small town. The sign on the door said parties more than 7 could not be seated together. Well, we just made "the cut," but due to extreme staff shortage, they still separated us into a party of five and the other two at a high-top. The hostess let us know the food would be a wait due to their staff issues. No worries. Order some fried cheese curds and their homemade crafted root beer to pass the time. Not to mention the blue upper wall with music paraphernalia and guitars all around. Also, it was nice they kept their bathroom clean for patrons. A big plus when you're on the road and really don't want to make a pit stop at a gas station. Anyhow, 3 of us got the steak sandwich; Normally, I would opt for a salad, but when in the Midwest, a salad is not often their best self. The portion was just right after diving into onion rings with ranch as an appetizer- along with the fried cheese curds. Típ: Only one refill for the crafted root beer so our kids had to be strategic in when they wanted to get their second drink :). A nice woman named Whitney came over to pour it cold from the pitcher. I went in today in the late afternoon, and the lady who sat me at the table and got my water was delightful. After 20 minutes, no one came to take my order. Two other tables right next to me were cleared and table next to me, who came in fifteen minutes after me, had their order taken. The staff was talking and standing around. As far as restaurants go, Suds Brothers is not recommended. As far as small town Wyoming restaurants go, this place is a real winner! Evanston, Wyoming is a sleepy little town just across the Utah border. I was on a road trip with a friend and we got the hungries and were lured in by their brewery. Suds Brothers craft their own local beers and the two we tried were delicious, but the food was another story. As with most brew pubs, it's best to focus on the easy to prepare bar food. Think fries, nachos, and fried cheese. The fried cheese curds were so tasty, nice and crispy on the outside and gooey on the inside. I also loved that these were cheddar cheese curds, their bright orange goodness made my tummy very happy. For lunch we had burgers, something that any brewery restaurant ought to be able to do right. These burgers were pretty bad. The toppings were great, but the meat was of a remarkably poor quality (especially for Wyoming cattle country!) and although I don't mind well done meat, this thing was grossly overcooked. My friend had a classic cheeseburger with sweet potato fries while I opted for the special bacon blue cheese burger with a side of beer cheese soup. The kitchen had no problem leaving off my bun so I could nosh low carb style. The soup was okay but was very heavy on the beer, like somebody had taken plain old potato soup and dumped a can of beer on top. The atmosphere is appropriately cowboy dive-y, and there's limited free parking out front along the main street. This isn't a great place to eat but you most likely could do far worse when searching for a place for lunch in town. read more

Food is typical pub fare and fairly priced. service was very slow with several tables asking for the check, me having to get the waitress to actually take the order. Owner needs to get staff better organized and efficient. They could have served more beers if they asked the tables. But for this area, would recommend as a great place to stop by. I'm not normally a fan of IPAs, but I could have had several pints of theirs. I settled on their Honey Wheat Hefeweizen to drink there, and we got a growler of their Black Lager to take back to the hotel. For food, I had the mushroom onion Swiss burger and onion rings. I was not expecting the quality of food to be as amazing as it was. Everything was perfectly cooked and was very flavorful. Also, their raspberry vinaigrette was to die for!! I also really loved looking at all the music-related decor. Great vibe to the whole place.
