Played the blue/white combo tees, up a little more than usual, wanted to have a fun first time experience. Very much look forward to another visit soon. Truly a hidden gem with a ton of PGA history. The best word I have to describe the current conditions here are neglect. Rutted cart paths full of mud. Greens pitted and unplayable, it's not good. The clubhouse is relegated to a shack with no food available. Pathetic. It's just a shame to see this happen to a course with so much history.

While there is a putting space, I haven't used it but look forward to trying it in the figure. It appears lessons are available along with regular tee times. The staff has always been extremely helpful and when purchasing balls there is also a large selection of sandwiches, beverages and snacks. Each time, I have got a water only and there are plenty of nearby garbages to toss items when finished. Lastly, the range has the big 10 sports logos on the green which will measure the distance. Not super difficult and the theme was upheld in the obstructions on each hole. We had fun trying different strategies on each hole. You enter the names of the people on your team and the digital scorecard follows you from hole to hole. I liked that. There was a tray at each hole to hold your drinks which was helpful. With no one there, we easily played each 9 hole course in 15 min. I can see where it could take awhile if it's busy. We had a great time and I'm glad we finally made it there. It's been on my list.

A couple…read morehighlights: - several holes had amazing views of the river valley so much so that the couple we were golfing worh took lots of photos - the greens were challenging but in a fun way as lots of slope and very well maintained. - the course had a really relaxed vibe and fellow golfers were very friendly. - the staff was super friendly from the person washing carts who got us set up to the pro shop to the beverage cart server to the restaurant/bar where we had lunch after our round. Everyone had a smile and that definitely contributed to a fantastic atmosphere. The course had lots of terrain and mature trees but wasn't too punishing for novice golfers (90-110 scores) who only play a couple rounds per summer typically but are working to play more often. I would highly recommend making the drive during the summer and can only imagine the views in early fall with the river valley leaves. Finally it looks like the clubhouse / restaurant is set up to host events and wedding receptions with amazing views. We will be back as the views, course, and staff made the easy 1 hour drive from Eagan well worth it.

A couple of switchbacks on the road bring you to a ridge overlooking the Mississippi River. The tee boxes, fairways, and greens were in great shape. The forward tees were around 4800 yards which is a bit more on the shorter side but the many narrow fairways created plenty of challenges. Staff was friendly. Carts did not have GPS. We had a great experience and would gladly return for another round.

Tee boxes, fairways, and greens were well kept. There is a river that hugs a couple of holes to make it interesting.
