This is so much fun!!! Book on Groupon for a discounted price (about $70 per person), perfect for groups. The boat fits 15 people and you go up in groups of 2-3, it does take a while to get through the whole group so take some motion sickness medicine if you get sea sick or car sick easily, it gets rocky with the ocean and waves when you're on the boat. You'll get to go up for about 5 minutes for the parasail, it's actually smoother when you're up in the air and you won't feel the rockiness on the boat. Dan and Troy were great and did a good job for our group, you can dip in the water at the end when you come down before getting back in the boat. Check in 30 minutes early to sign waivers, there's a parking lot right by so that's convenient. Bring a towel with you if you want to cover yourself from the sun and dry up after you dip in water. read more

This is our first time in Hawaii and probably our last, because while the plane tickets were reasonably priced, the other things like FOOD were priced out of this world. Comparing other excursions, para-sailing was really priced well. Coming from Los Angeles, I guess I could've gone to San Diego for this same experience, but I think is way more, actually idk. lol. 6-29-25. have done parasailing before. This experience was very bad. I started my ascent, but the wind dropped from my parasail and the line attached to the boat was too slack. I dropped nearly to the water. I fell backwards injuring my lower back, but managed to hang on and pull myself back upright. I suffered a head concussion and contusion, lumbar back injury and multiple bruises and contusions to my left leg from the rigging. My daughter in law filmed the entire episode. The captain was not able to keep this from happening. I finished my parasailing but cannot say I enjoyed the views after this experience. The remaining people on the boat appeared to have no problems including the rest of my family of 5 and the one other person who went up solo as I did. I was the first to go up and will never do that again. I will be seeing my back doctor when I return to Seattle. read more

This was a really fun thing to do with my siblings, our instructors made us feel safe and they played really fun hype up music on the way out to the spot. Had such a fun time! We had originally booked a parasail with a different company in Oahu, but our reservation was cancelled due to winds and they didn't have any other availability for the rest of our trip. So, I was very happy when were able to get a last minute reservation for X-Treme Parasail on a day that we found ourselves with some extra time. I booked ahead of time online and filled out the information for myself and my Fiancé. The booking process was quick and easy. We arrived 30 mins before our time (as requested) and signed in. They had us sign a waiver and covid form. I'm sure they ask everyone to be 30 mins early to give time for all parties to sign in, but there was plenty of waiting around time. The boat showed up promptly for our 1pm ride and off we went. There were 9 people total in our group that went up to parasail (4 groups). Dylan was really nice and fast about getting everyone in and out of the gear. We were the only group that did the 1,000 feet option and it was FABULOUS!! Stunning views of the ocean and island, you can't beat it! Getting up and down was very smooth and I wish we could have stayed up there longer. They also offer a photo package that comes with your own SD card, but we just had another guest use our phone. You can also take your phone up with you if you want. Our first time parasailing on 5/11/23 and it was raining! My boyfriend decided to book this event though he was scared of heights. We arrived 30 min early and signed two waivers. There was a total of 12 or 14 of us in the group and 2 people go up at a time. As we started off it was windy and started to rain and the boat ride was bumpy. X-Treme Parasail only does double or triple sails. You cannot sail solo. You can choose 800' of line, 1000', or 100' with a water sip at the end. Observers are charged $50+ just to ride on the boat. We did the double sail - we wanted a mother-daughter bonding experience. We lucked out that the day we sailed - there were whales nearby so we got to watch the whales from the air. X-Treme was super accommodating when we wanted to change our reservation - it was raining the day of our original reservation. Also, we had only purchased a 700' sail, but after watching others on the boat, we decided we wanted the 1000' sail with the dip. No problem b- just let the captain know before we sailed. TIP: Take motion sickness measures before you go out. The boat ride can make you sick. Also, the higher parasail gets more wind movement. CON: This is my first time opting for the photographs. I had a friend visiting from the mainland and really wanted to have moments captured as well as be in the moment versus taking my own pictures. The pictures are awful!! Either they need a better camera or the staff need training on how to use the camera. My husband is a photographer: so, I know any camera can be set to take good pictures. Only the one of us taking off on the parasail are good. The rest of them, we are so dark, it could be anyone in the pictures. PRO: This is my THIRD time going out with the this company. The employees are very knowledgeable and professional. The view is beautiful and worth it. I read reviews about how good the music was. Our boat captains Tristano and Chris were so professional and friendly and made sure we knew exactly what to do when it was our turn. I booked through their website a day before we went to the docks to try parasailing and honestly their prices were the best compared to others. There's ample parking near the wharf where a bunch of other boat huts are and xtreme parasailing has the luxury of being at the very left end of the docks. My mom, sister and I went for a weekend thrill and we prepared for our 8am ride by heading to Walmart and buying Dramamine LOL. When we got there there was about 11 of us ready for the adventure of the day. I wish I could remember names but we had a pretty young blonde guy and an older captain driver. For the most part, the both of them brought such good vibes to the ride and threw out jokes here and there to ease us with what we were about to do. We got to watch another family go before us and it was such a thrill. The captain also asks you if you want to be dipped into the water when descending back into the boat. My sister and I took the chance of bringing our phones up with us to record but wowee was it a challenge to hold onto the swing and our phones. Overall, the experience was unlike any other. The best way I can describe it is to think of there being a swing just up there in the clouds and you're just so still in the air while the rope that attaches you to the boat and pulls you through the water does all the work. They offered an additional $40 to be taking shots of us while we were up in the air and so we did it and got an SD card of some amazing photos after. The Dramamine too gets its own 5 stars because I could literally feel the moments where I would have hurled but then it got halted by the Dramamine. The music they played was perfect. The day and the ocean was calm. It was an unforgettable experience and thank you so much xtreme parasailing for the opportunity! read more

I've been parasailing in Maui before and it was a good experience. I think parasailing in Oahu was more exhilarating. We did the Xtreme 1000ft. You get a great view of the Waikiki and Diamond Head. Zach and Chris were our guides. They were superb. I had a lot of fun. I wish it wasn't so windy, but otherwise it was very nice weather with some exceptional views. I recommend taking some motion sickness medicine the boat can be rocky. I would do it again probably from a lower height cause you probably wouldn't notice the difference. read more
