It's a really small cramped venue. However the place is neat and clean. Service was quick, attentive, and good. The sushi was great! The rolls were reasonably priced, good portions, and made from fresh ingredients. They have an extensive, varied menu of sushi rolls. The gyoza had a nice sear on the outside with flavorful juicy meat inside. I was very satisfied with my dining experience. I would definitely come again. Parking is in the back. read more

Not the right choice if you're looking for sushi. I gave the place two chances for lunch but both times the food was very bland and no amount of soy or wasabi could help. Just don't understand how you can make miso soup taste bland. I would look elsewhere for sushi. read more

We order lunch from this place about 3-4 times a month. I have to say the sushi is always fresh and never tastes "fishy", like some other sushi places. The rolls good, the specials are special and the place is very clean and brand new. I would have given it a 5...but the prices are very high! If you order lunch for just yourself, your lookin at about 25 bucks, with tip. Some people might say thats about right...others will say, they stick to the 6.50 luch special, at the local deli. Its your choice, but I would definately give it a try, if you like sushi. read more

Xaga completely fulfilled our expectations and as a guy who's always complaining about how everything is too expensive, I found their prices extremely reasonable. the food is decent but the service is a hit or miss. usually i feel very rushed and like the staff hovers over our table waiting to take our plates even when we're not done. my biggest pet peeve is when waiters pick up my plate BEFORE asking if i'm done. a friend saw a rat a year or two ago so i've been very skeptical about going to sit or ordering but i'm a big fan of the kani salad with spicy mayo :( hard to resist, i just waited a while before eating their food again. what's good is that they really listen to my preferences/moderations of my order and i can always expect it how i want read more

I have been coming here for years and generally have not had any concerns with the food. The food is a little pricey for Asian food in Long Island, but you receive a generous portion. Recently they have decreased the size of the bowls that they give you the food in but they have increased their prices. During my recent visit after spending a substantial amount of money there and while listening to another customer complain about their customer service I asked for a wine to be blended. The manager told me that he would consider it a mix drink and charge me additional money. This is quite concerning given that it is not a mix drink or that they wanted to make extra money for pouring two wines. Get it together local eaterys like this live and die on customer service. Hopefully they will get a clue before they start to lose their biggest asset....their customers. read more

Save your self a headache and do not order from here. I ordered on Sunday because me and my boyfriend was hungry and we didn't feel like going to get anything. So fine we ordered online. No complaints there. I realized that I forgot to order spicy mayo, so I call the restaurant and tell them if they can throw two spicy mayos in the bag and they told me when the delivery guy comes to just give him a dollar for it. I had no problem with that. The delivery guy comes, I tip him and also give him the extra dollar for the two spicy mayos that to my knowledge was supposed to be in the bag. We open the food, no spicy mayo. I call the restaurant back and tell them and they told me that they're sorry and there's only one delivery guy and it would be atleast 15 mins by the time he gets back so I was willing to wait. He comes back with the spicy mayo we eat the food and all is well. BUT here's the best part. Monday comes i'm checking my debit card transactions and I noticed that they charged my card again $4.50 that same day, so they charged my card the amount that was for the sushi and another $4.50 for I don't know what. So I called them about it as soon as I seen that and they told me that "oh I don't know why your card was charged it's not showing up on my side" But she said she would call me back tomorrow about the situation. She calls me, I end up screen shorting the transaction from my citi bank app, email it to her and she still has no answer for me except for "i'll give you a discount for the next time you order". And I refused because after all of that i'm just fed up with their stupidity. I will not be ordering from them ever again. And for what it's worth the sushi isn't even all that great, it was okay but not amazing. read more

I gave it 3 stars because while it's good, they day "all natural ingredients" which today doesn't mean much when it's not organic. And I also wished they used a better quality oil for frying. Great food! Great deserts and great service. Xaga is the best Asian restaurant in Hewlett. Right when you walk in, the staff greets you and immediatly find you a table. Their deserts such as their Red Bean Ice Cream and their fried ice cram us excellent. So is their bento boxes and sushi! I would definetly recommend Xaga! Excellent for dinner and lunch! read more

Food was good but service was bad. My friend and I felt like we were being rushed out. We were seated by a doorway and there was a waitress standing over our table a majority of the time. Once we finished our meal the waitress asked as if there was anything we wanted and we said no not now and she brought us the bill. We didn't ask for it. When attempting to bill the bill the waitress returns saying my friends card was declined, come to find out the waitress was enterring $508 instead of $58 onto the card and she attempted three times. It's as if she was such in a rush to get us out she didnt pay attention. Unacceptable. We were sitting at the table trying to figure out her card situation and 3 waiters tried to take the check from us my friend had to remove her card from the slot. Don't appreciate really rushed. They were busy but not full and we shouldnt have been treated the way we were. I will not be returning to this restaurant and I advise all who do to pay attention to what they are charging you. read more
