Apparently, it's really hard to find good Chinese or Japanese food in Baldwin, and my sister's friend recommended we give this place a try one night for dinner. Not only were they close, but they really took pride and joy making our take out food. I opted for the chicken katsu bento box, and my sister got the chow mei fun with chicken. The portions for take out were not only insane, but extremely tasty! I katsu was a little dry, but there was plenty of it! The shumai were great in the box, and the presentation was higher than I expected. My sister's chow mei fun was very light and loaded with flavors; again, insane portion. Great menu that has so much: Chinese, Sushi, and some Thai options. Lunch specials 7 days, and a diverse menu which makes it easy to order in for a family of different tastes. So, we can get sushi rolls and pad thai, or crab rangoon and shrimp tempura. The ordering is easy and the food is well packaged for delivery. Ordered three entrees, soup, apps for takeout on a Friday night. Wontons were doughy and tasteless. Two of three entrees were hardly edible. Beef and broccoli with no sauce. I have to say for one, these people are not nice and when they make a mistake they will fight you on it and will not admit when they are wrong. The food isn't always so grand but the last time I ordered, which was tonight, it was disgusting. One dish had almost no flavor whatsoever and the other dish I ordered which was vegetable chow mein. Chow mein is fried noodles and I wanted vegetables with it. What I got was soggy chicken with a ton of celery in water. And then they will not admit that they are wrong. Then they have the nerve to yell at me telling me to order from other places and I'll see it's the same. But I have gotten that many times and it's nothing close to what they gave me. Avoid this place!! There are so many other places, better places than this one!! They do not respect customers. read more

May King delivery is not even close to reliable. Even worse the are unapologetic. With many Chinese and Japanese food options in Oceanside I would recommend a restaurant that values its customers time and business. If I could leave a zero star review I would. Never again! read more

If a customer calls to explain that I'm not happy with the meal. I ordered Pad Thai, ok so obviously not expecting the best PT ever. It's only a Chinese take out. However when I open the container and there is zero sauce, some dried peanuts on top, pink almost see through noodles and no vegetables. I said this isn't PT, she basically screams at me trying to explain this is how they do it. I said that's fine, however don't advertise it as PT if it is nothing like any PT ever made in the history of PT. She ends conversation with nothing I can do, to bad. read more

We have used May King on an almost weekly basis, however, their delivery service is despicable. They say 50-55 minutes on their website order page but they have been taking longer and longer, today a full hour and forty five minutes and two phone calls. They said they were busy and would give us a discount. Their idea of a discount was not taking a tip for delivery. They still charged the full amount. The phone person was either an ignorant fool or a great actor in pretending to be one. We will not be calling them again and will actively campaign against anyone we know using them as well. This is a sushi/chinese food take out place. It really is a chinese take out place basically. There are seats and tables and a sushi bar but no one comes to serve you. You put your order in just like you would chinese take out even though i was eating in, that should have been the first clue to leave. The salad comes out or shall i say the brown lettuce on a paper plate..yes paper. The miso watered down soup comes out in a plastic container..yikes!!! When our food was ready , we had to pick it up from the counter...really??? And more paper plates and plastic utencils for sushi???anyway needless to say i will never go back!!!
