My friends and I were interested in joining a gym together, so we went to the 24 Hour Fitness in Richardson yesterday to get our guest passes. We filled everything out online, signed the waivers at the gym, and the employee told us we could visit other locations for three days to try out their amenities. We went to the Plano location today and presented the guest passes we received from Richardson. That's when the manager, Eloise, stopped us and claimed our papers weren't legitimate. I was confused and honestly baffled because we followed all the steps at the Richardson location. She didn't even try to verify the information in her system before assuming we were lying. I asked her to call the Richardson gym to confirm everything--because seriously, who fakes a gym guest pass? She called, but they couldn't verify anything either since the employee who helped us wasn't working today. At that point, I was already frustrated for two reasons: 1. Her attitude was terrible, especially toward three potential new members. 2. She had the nerve to tell me, "There's no reason for you to raise your voice," when I was just trying to explain the situation. I've worked in customer service for over 10 years, and I've never seen a manager escalate a situation like this. Isn't a manager supposed to de-escalate issues? We even asked, if the vouchers were invalid, could she just issue new ones? She said no because the Richardson and Plano systems are different. Again--how is that our problem? Why couldn't she be helpful and try to solve the issue? Maybe offer us a tour of the gym or at least acknowledge that we made an effort? Her attitude came across like, "Wow, they're lying." It's a gym, not some fancy restaurant. Like, what??? I had heard good things about this gym, but after today, I'd strongly advise people to stay away--at least from the Plano location. If this is how they treat guest pass holders who are genuinely interested in signing up, that says a lot. I really hope 24 Hour Fitness addresses the behavior of their manager, Eloise.

Sarah and Melody are very friendly and helpful, a real blessing. Everything inside is sparkling clean which is very encouraging and gives a sense of safety when it comes to getting infected by germs and bacteria, etc. The location is excellent for me, and the fact that the gym is located in a very safe area of Wylie (right across from the Fire Station) enhances the security of anyone adventuring in the middle of the night. On top of it, a little incentive îs offered to its members (T-shirt, bag) which is nice even if they're meant for advertisement. Snap fitness is all worth it. I'm really thankful I found them. My experience with EOS has been extremely frustrating. This gym has been open for less than a year…read moreand has already gone through three different sales managers, which speaks volumes about the lack of consistency and leadership. I referred two individuals to this location, which should have qualified me for three months of free membership per their referral program. However, despite multiple attempts to get clarity and resolution, the internal team has been completely unhelpful. Communication has been poor across the board, and it has been nearly impossible to get ahold of anyone at a corporate level via phone. At this point, it feels like they have done everything possible to ignore the situation and avoid honoring their own referral incentives. There was no follow-ups, no accountability, and no clear answers. On top of that, I also signed up for assisted stretching services and was very disappointed with the experience. Based on the contract terms, I hand-delivered a cancellation notice to their corporate office in Dallas (off the Tollway), but the cancellation was still denied. Once again, I ran into the same issues with poor communication, lack of follow-up, and it took nearly a month just to get in touch with someone.

And get this: you can bring a friend for free every single visit. Love that Crunch Fitness thought of this built-in gym buddy system, nice idea! I've got a few of friends who rave about how much they enjoy their membership. They say it's a great place to network with other business professionals or just vibe with likeminded fitness folks. I didn't sign up today because I'm checking if my UHC insurance might cover it (I might already be a member and not know it). But if you're thinking about it, I recommend joining! Look at their Yelp offer and take advantage of their one day pass to see if it fits your vibe.

Jerome was the instructor (and the owner here), and is very patient with new people and just correcting form in general. People tend to lose their form when they get tired (myself def included), and he was there mainly at the bags helping my friends and I out and making sure we weren't approaching it in a poor fashion. I believe most of the people here are regulars, so its got a pretty "familial" feel. My one note is about the cleanliness- the gloves stink! I'd bring my own and get past that though. You can get a better deal if you buy packages at the Jym directly instead of online, so call ahead!

I decided to check it out because I was looking for a more intense workout, on top of the swim classes already take. I signed up for a one-day free class, and I was absolutely hooked! This is a full body workout and you will get a really, REALLY, good sweat. If you decide to continue beyond the one day free trial, there is a 30 day intro option which is about $39. If you decide to do it continuously it's about $60 a month. Yes, you heard me right! You get a quality work out AND it's affordable. I've tried doing title boxing and I love kickboxing, but their prices are insanely high for the average spender. Once you're signed up classes are unlimited, and you can pretty much come anytime during the week when they're open. Jerome is the instructor/owner and he's really good about helping you get going. DON'T feel intimidated. There are people of all levels in the classes, the most important thing is to keep moving and to keep hitting the bag. If you can't do a certain exercise you can always alternate it for something else. I like it because it's not all boxing, but other exercises incorporated into it as well. I definitely recommend you give this a try. If you don't feel the class is for you, then don't worry. There will be no one trying to harass you into buying something you don't want. I plan to continue on a monthly basis. :)

The wipes are also so incredibly thin, doesn't feel like you're cleaning anything. Everything is kinda just strewn around in the women's only section. I wanted to bring up a concern regarding inconsistent enforcement of gym policies. I was recently…read moretold I could not enter wearing slides, despite the fact that I regularly come in wearing them because I remove my shoes while lifting heavy. I've also noticed many other members lifting barefoot or taking their shoes off entirely without being approached or corrected. What makes this frustrating is that there are no visible signs or posted policies stating "no slides" or "no Crocs." The only posted rules I've seen are things like reracking weights and not removing shirts. Because of that, it feels unfair and inconsistent when certain members are singled out while others are not. Additionally, the interaction itself was unprofessional. I was told, "I'm going to get fired if you walk in," (white girl) by a front desk employee I had never seen before, after I had already driven all the way to the gym. The situation could have been handled much more respectfully and clearly. I also want to mention that I frequently feel pressured by trainers approaching me repeatedly about personal training, even after showing no interest. I've noticed this tends to happen more when I wear baggier clothing or don't fit the typical "gym aesthetic," which makes the environment feel uncomfortable rather than welcoming. I'm not trying to cause issues, but I would appreciate clearer policies and more consistent treatment from staff across the board.
