Came here for a friends birthday. We got a table and sang lots of karaoke. The sound system was decent, wished they had more songs though. We used YouTube thru the karaoke system app and the search function was a bit weird and different from actual search results through the yT app itself so that was probably my main complaint . Other than that , the service was great and the decor was super cool. Love the Chinese & anime vibes! They also have a downstairs area with a dj. Usually they have different dj nights but the night we went they were having a mahjong event with a dj playing on the side. Surprisingly there was a lot of people playing ! I usually just host karaoke nights at my own home since I have invested in a great setup but i would definitely come again and recommend this karaoke bar if I'm in the city ! read more

My friends and I stopped by XeX while bar hopping for St. Patrick's weekend. On Google Maps, it shows they open at 7pm on the weekend, but when we arrived at around 7:45pm on Saturday, they were still not open, which we discovered when a couple of my friends tried to open the doors, and they were locked. A guy eventually poked his head out to tell us they'd open in another 10-15 minutes. We chose to wait since we figured it'd be nice to be the first patrons and not have to deal with crowds. Once inside, one of my friends hunted down the menu - they only had a single copy. We decided what to order, and the drinks were surprisingly super affordable, about half the price of other upscale cocktail bars, since they offer happy hour drinks until 10pm. Perks of going "early"! I got a lychee martini, and it was stronger and less sweet than any I've ever had before elsewhere. When I went to pick up my drink it was filled to the brim, practically overflowing. They definitely do not skimp out here. We took advantage of being the first guests and lounged on the comfortable couches. I snapped a few pics of the decor, which gives cyberpunk city lights vibes. After a bit, one of my friends wanted to hop to another bar, so we left, but I would've been down to stay longer and order another round. It's a karaoke bar and open lounge on the first floor. They have the bar and plenty of seating area. The karaoke machine is first come first serve. It is mainly in Chinese so they won't have all the songs you want on the machine. The ground floor is a club with a dance floor and bottle service if wanted. read more

Came here on a Friday night around 9pm with a friend and it was surprisingly pretty empty at first. We ordered two drinks: the HK milk tea and one of their signature cocktails. Surpringly, the HK milk tea was okay for me but it's because I'm not a huge fan of super sweet drinks, and this one definitely leaned more dessert-like. I can see why people love it though if you enjoy sweeter drinks! By around 10pm it started getting pretty busy and karaoke started, which made the atmosphere a lot more fun and lively. It's probably not the best place to catch up with a friend you haven't seen in a while since it gets loud, but it's a great spot for a night out. I went on a Thursday night at 8pm so maybe that's why but it's also a pretty new place. there's lots of asian decor, a claw machine, and a downstairs area more for dancing and clubbing. the staff were very gen z and chill. My friend, Brian Kwa, and his team hosted an event downstairs last night. It was a viby place and they brought the Asian American style to the venue. Upstairs was a larger karaoke type spot and they had cocktail with Asian liquor and whiskies. The cocktails were on the sweeter side. Downstairs was more of a traditional type club vibe. A good venue overall, but it would be great to have more consistent bar staff upstairs. People got confused about the venue entrance, so organizing that better outside for events, would be helpful. read more

We booked this bar/lounge for a holiday party and encountered several issues. The drink selection was very limited, the bartender was overwhelmed resulting in long waits, and communication with management during the event was extremely poor. Despite informing them ahead of time that we would have 80 people, only two bartenders were scheduled, and they could only make drinks from the menu. They couldn't even make a simple Sex on the Beach. Overall, not a great experience for hosting a group event. While the event overall was disappointing, we want to thank Stan the bartender for doing his best. He was one of two bartenders serving about 80 people, which was clearly overwhelming. XeX is hands-down one of the most unique and fun clubs I've been to in the Bay. I really enjoyed the vibe, the music, and, most importantly, the instant ramen munchies station. The club's Asian-inspired decor gave off a fantastic, high-energy underground Hong Kong nightclub type vibe--sleek, neon, and totally immersive. The moment you walk in, the huge selection of drinks catches your eye the display of bottles on the shelves is absolutely beautiful. The dance floor downstairs is a high-energy paradise. It was hella packed and the live DJ kept the energy high, blending the perfect mix of hip hop and heavy-hitting EDM. It was lit! But the true genius move here is the drunk munchies station: a self-serve instant ramen bar with a full toppings bar for sale inside the club! After dancing for hours, custom-building a piping-hot bowl of instant ramen is so satisfying and fun! It's brilliant and hits the spot. Beyond the party, the amenities are shockingly great. The bathrooms were spotless and clean (3 toilet rooms and 2 sinks). And for a more intimate experience with the homies, a karaoke station right next to the bathroom entrance, complete with comfortable couches, loud speakers, and a big screen. As somebody who works in nightlife, and frequents many bars and clubs in the city, this has got to be one of the worst I've ever been to. Firstly, watched the owner rudely dismiss a group of people who were underage but only wanted a refund for their accidental ticket purchase. Secondly, waited at the bar with nobody around for over 10 minutes waiting for the bartenders to help while they did meaningless tasks, who were also then rude and appeared very inexperienced. Thirdly, was invited by a group of people hosting an event downstairs to attend but was turned away, again very rudely, because they were already downstairs. Fourthly, tried the popular alcohol bubble tea which looked cute, but was absolutely disgusting. The vibe sucked, the crowd was weird, and the staff was beyond rude at every opportunity. Hidden gem spot for karaoke in Polk St, their well is considered hungover free(PSA: Don't Drink & Drive). They have after selection to get the party started and keep it going. Stop by for a drink or stay for their party downstairs where it gets better. The service is great and they take care of you asap.
