With no explanation of why or how. Then was told to call Xfinity directly to figure it out. After being on the phone with Xfinity for over an hour, and being promised other promotions over the phone, we were finally able to purchase the phone over the call. Although I'm extremely disappointed and skeptical because there was no explanation given from the in store manager nor the rep over the phone. I really felt that my representative was annoyed that he had to give me service. I returned a connection box. The representative had to give me another piece. He went to retrieve the piece, but "slow walked" to the stock room and took his sweet time returning to me. He said gave me a faded instruction sheet and said "call this number to activate the piece." Getting home, I connected the device, called the number he indicated. All I boot was a recording that kept wanting to reset my system. Back again-the original rep wasn't available. Another tech gave me another piece. Had a great experience here. The old Comcast center was a couple of blocks away, and they left there and relocated here ... in a much nicer more permanent facility. They are located right by the Brass Tap Restaurant ... two birds with one stone. Anyway, I am done calling Comcast. Generally you waste a lot of time and chill on hold. But going to an actual facility and talking to an actual person saves you mucho time. Every time I have gone to an Xfinity/Comcast outlet I have been taken care of quickly and efficiently. Same here. You have a problem, walk in to this brand new outlet to get it taken care of. Inside the facility it is really expansive. Large outlet with enough staff to take care of you. They have separate stations for cellphone, internet, and TV situations, and I am sure you could have all three taken care of at one. This was a very nice outlet ... give it a try. read more

Went in to update our plan that was ending. A nice agent spoke to us explaining the current plans. When we got to the price, they have this convenient goofy excuse that they can't give you the price of your new bill because of the taxes. WHAT? We were given a verbal estimate. Guess what? Yep, our monthly bill is $20 more than our quote with taxes. We called customer service and they were nice too, but extremely useless. I went to the Orland Park,Il Xfinity store on 11/30/21 to see what new offers they might have since my 2 year agreement was up. The person helping me was not rude but told me that my bill was going to go up $30 a month and that there were no offers to give me. He then pushed a sheet of paper toward me showing prices of cell plans that I could sign up for. Really? This office, is full of disrespectful employees, maybe because the majority are of Mexican origin. Starting with the so called manager Priscilla, who is rude and treats the clientele with utter disdain. I have been with Xfinity from the beginnings of comcast. Recently my monthly payments rose to over 350.00 per month, when I called xfinity, the lady on the line, explain, that I could get a discount and that I should go to the store and speak with the manager. In the past it was that simple. The manager at the store would apply a discount. I went to the store and had to dace a very unresponsive and petulant heavy set female, that was upset with my interruption. She immediately proceeded to act very rude, and asked what the problem was. After my explanation, she stated that she could do nothing about discounts, that xfinity set the prices. And with her attitude -take it or leave it- she stated that she was not going to be able to help. I left and began to explore alternatives, which took ME to VERIZON. Which, was a needed change as my Xfinity cellular calls were constantly dropping. Although a little more expensive, I needed to a peace my wife who was constantly nagging about the poor cellular service with Xfinity. Verizon services offered me a new internet for a lot less money than Xfinity. Dropping their very expensive TV Line up, to what they call popular channels, was a big saving (who watches more than one channel at the time?). No more land line, which most people seldomly use. No more security with Xfinity, which is useless with the very poor quality of the camera, that cost me over $ 500.00. Simple safe has great service for the same price and great cameras, where one can see clearly at night. A nasty manager PRISCILLA, gave a reason to change. Xfinity should be more careful, with the quality of their employees. Instead of worrying about filling QUOTAS. With employees that act as, if they were somewhere else. During recent power outage our modem never really came back and then crashed. My husband spent hours on the phone with tech. Finally the tech told him to bring it back here and they would be open until 6:00. We got here at 12:59 and a rude woman was letting people but not in. My husband explained that we were here just to exchange modem at tech's directive and that it wasn't 1:00. She replied that if he touched the door she would call the police. Awesome. Bad information and rude clerks make for one awful experience. Comcast has a well deserved reputation for horrible customer service. But they don't care. I am writing this to make myself feel better. I sat at one of a few HD TV stations, as I considered adjusting my schedule to accommodate my anticipated lengthy stay. I noticed the 2017-worthy appointments, such as: exaggerated soffit, projecting no less than 5' from the walls, below the drop ceiling, customized, technology influenced decor and work stations, community feel, separate seating areas, and touch screen digital collateral stations. This place really felt like it was designed around the client and the ambience reflected what one might be comfortable in, yet impressed by and appreciative of. This facility could certainly rest on it's laurels and the experience would have easily exceeded my loftiest expectations, then I had the pleasure of being assisted by Sr. Sales Consultant, Fernando Matias. From the greeting to the dismissal, he was a consummate professional. Fernando's product knowledge demonstrated his passion for his position and quite an outstanding work ethic. My questions were answered, without hesitation and Fernando made sure I had a thorough understanding of how my account changes impacted my television and web usage experience. I would have been absolutely satisfied to be served by Fernando, apart from the frills of this impressive location. Please do not let any loved ones die if they have Xfinity! We came here to cancel the cable of a relative who passed away. We were told everything was cancelled by Dan, we would just have to bring the boxes in, and we were happily on our way. The next day we arrived with the boxes and told that we would have to wait to speak to someone. We were obviously mad- the waits are insane here- but thank God we did. The woman who helped us- I feel bad that I don't remember her name- told us that Dan had not cancelled the account on the date of her death- but rather yesterday when we had come in. He had also charged us for that entire time and made a note in the account that we had agreed to a "promise to pay" the amount. WE HAD NEVER AGREED TO PAY ANYTHING AND HE HAD NEVER ASKED. This was my second time utilizing the Xfinity Store in Orland. I was getting nowhere through the phone system. They kept telling me they were fixing my issue of the caller ID name change on my mobile phone but every time I called the house that had Xfinity the caller ID popped up with my ex husband's name who hasn't had his name on my account in 7 years and with a different carrier. I recently switched to Xfinity and no one could figure out how this name got back on my account. The help line kept saying it was being fixed or they were putting in a ticket but nothing was being fixed. I went in to the store the wonderful woman at the front desk who has helped me once before was able to call. Get the issue escalated and that night it was fixed. I'm so grateful for her and the other gentleman that came over to help. They're wonderful at this store and I would 100% go back with any issues or when it's time to upgrade. I had another issue that they checked and ended up being an issue on our home phone that I was able to fix as well. A couple of weeks worth of stress fixed in about 45 minutes. Not sure with all the negativity but I've been here twice. Once to switch my phone cell service to Xfinity Mobile and was in and out within an hour but it was also during a snow storm. No issues porting the numbers over was given an estimated time but was ported over sooner. Daniel was a great sales consultant. Second time came over to add another cell line to my plan. We waited for about 10 minutes or so. It was busy for a Saturday which is expected. But our sales consultant was very pleasant and helpful. Honestly, I don't know why Comcast has corporate stores open across town?! They are definitely not there to help but to rip-off unsuspecting customers. I made a short trip to Mali West Africa from May 18th, 2021 to June 5th. I forgot to activate international roaming on my account. While in Mali, I called Xfinity Mobile to have it activated so I can surf the net. I was only able to use my phone from May 18th to May 26th because Xfinity Mobile canceled my number. I couldn't get a hold of them while overseas for an explanation. When I got back into the country, I called to find out why my service is not working and they told me that they canceled it because I incurred international roaming charges of approximately $10,000 within a period of 8 days. That is 4gb. And that the only way I could get my service back is if I paid off this ridiculous charge on my account. Mind you I only used WhatsApp and Instagram in those 8 days. Every call I made to their customer service, was ineffective. I went to this location in Orland Park, IL to get a break down of the crazy bill, and they also told me that there was nothing they could do to help me. My question is, why is this even legal? I have involved the media in this case so as to get to the bottom of it. I'm also ready to escalate this issue to a legal action if necessary, because this is unheard of. read more

It took more than four hours. Most of what they promised was unavailable once we were there (two days after my husband was there researching). Dolores gave me her personal number so I could contact her on her day off if needed. She then came into work early the following day & worked with us for an hour before her shift started to resolve the issue. When Xfinity's Tech Support group seemed unable to resolve the issue again, Dolores did solve it. She was the one who understood that sending us home a second time to wait for the porting to complete was not going to solve the issue and that we needed to keep our current phone number.
