Xfinity has been one of the most frustrating service experiences I have encountered. Customer service is extremely poor. Reaching a knowledgeable human representative is nearly impossible, and when contact finally occurs, answers are often scripted and unhelpful. Issues repeat without meaningful resolution. Technician visits have also been disappointing. Multiple appointments were required to address problems created after neighborhood network "upgrades." Work inside home felt rushed and incomplete, leaving connection stability worse than before. Service reliability is another major concern. Internet performance is inconsistent, which makes online gaming unreliable and remote work unnecessarily difficult. Latency spikes, brief disconnects, and service drops occur often enough to disrupt normal daily use. Ironically, only reliable part of experience has been learning how to navigate outage credits through Xfinity's automated chatbot. Outages occur so frequently that requesting credits has become a routine step nearly every billing cycle. In short: poor support, unreliable connectivity, and repeated service disruptions. Expectations for a modern internet provider should be significantly higher than what is delivered here. read more

They make you use the apps "virtual assistant" before connecting you to an overseas call center, that has no idea how to resolve or troubleshoot, other than a tech visit that takes a week to schedule. Any other option is better than a $300 a month, 2 yr commitment for a trash product that never works. I needed my cable marked because I was having some landscaping done. Flashback - the cable installer, a contractor no doubt, was angry because my cable box was on the "Wrong" side of the house. He basically looped the cable right into the center of my back yard. Current time - I needed to have the cable marked due to some landscaping I was having done. My wife called and was told someone would be there within 24 hours to mark the cable. Nope. My wife called again right after the clock hit the 24 hour mark. Oh, we will have somebody come tomorrow. Care to guess if they came to mark the cable? Nope. My wife goes to the office and got apologies and was told... you get the picture. Nope. Next day, another visit. Nope. Two calls and two visits and my cable was never marked. I'm out with the landscapers like a fool saying things like, I think the cable is in this area. I sign a 2‑year Xfinity Business contract 6 months ago. On the sales call I ask about closing early if my shop fails. The rep says it is fine if the business closes. No fee. My shop closes after six months. I call to cancel. Xfinity charges me $600 as an early end fee. I share this so owners know the risk. The contract sets a fee when you end early. I did not know that at the time. I asked about it and was told I was safe if the business shuts. I ask Xfinity to remove the fee based on what I was told. The answer is no. My view: this sets false hope for small shops. Get every promise in writing before you sign. Ask about early end fees and how they work. I ask Xfinity to fix this and train sales to give clear terms. I want a full credit of the fee and a clean account close. read more

My apartment changing bulk WiFi/ cable but will not allow installation of service from them or other providers due to a bulk code on the building but apartments that where empty and people who have moved in now have service from Xfinty due to the business side on 11/22/24 had already de bulked and free of the bulk code. Sense 11/1/24 when the apartment sent an email of with a phone # to get services changed and have had no straight answer for when I can get services from them or any other provider with termination taking place in less than a week! read more

I turned in our TV 3 boxes because we decided to go with antenna TV. We talked to Randall at the Xfinity store in M'boro and I must say, Randall was very knowledgeable about their services and was very helpful & patient. We have Verizon phones which we are having trouble with their signal, so we'll probably switch over to Comcast for their phone service. If you go there, ask for Randall! Price gouging for sure and don't care about customer service. I have been a loyal customer for while now and wanted to add another modem to a neighboring property (same address/same owner) that was out of Wi-Fi range- even with an extender. The only Offer was to pay double the amount of my current bill to "add an internet service to existing account" or 1.5 times the amount to create an entirely new account. Plus they were charging an additional fee for a technician to come out. "Our hands are tied and we can't override the system"is all she kept saying. ID Nikita, IG+. Received incredible service today from Randall. Very knowledgeable and insightful, with great customer service. Was apologetic for my wait, which wasn't long considering it was Saturday. Understandable when you consider the amount of people in the surrounding area with their service. I was the victim of a bait and switch and this location. Brought in an offer I saw online..sales rep initially said she couldn't find that offer but after a bit said she was giving me the same offer...multiple times I was assured that the current internet speed I had (100 mb) was not changing and I was just adding TV....left store, TV service installed....received first bill and noticed MY CURRENT INTERNET WAS CANCELLED and I was out on a 25 mb plan. As of now I have talked with store manager and multiple online reps. Well, I spoke too soon. The afterglow from my experience with customer service at this location vanished once I got my next bill. I went in asking to have my TV service stopped, return some equipment and verify that the online deal that I had on my account ($60 for 300Mbps internet) was still in effect. Was told I was good on all fronts. What actually happened, as reflected by my bill, was that my TV service was stopped (good so far), my protection plan was stopped (what the?), my promo rate for my internet was gone and changed to $99.95 for 150Mbps (ARE YOU KIDDING ME?) and the cherry on top was a $50 charge for an in home visit the very day I went to the store (*expletive*). Apparently my new residence is the (*many expletives*) Xfinity store. A call to customer service nearly induced a brain aneurysm as I was told that not only had they botched my internet offer, there was no way for them to reinstate it. When I told the rep that I had an email confirmation from Xfinity stating the details of the order, I was immediately transferred to a supervisor who had the magical ability to reinstate the previous offer. As always, you can count on Xfinity to either be completely incompetent or completely dishonest. Consider yourself lucky if you manage to deal with someone who is neither. read more

I really enjoy my Xfinity service so I decided to try out Xfinity mobile. So far the service is good, not as good as Verizon but good. The problem like always with Comcast is their complete lack of caring about their customers. Xfinity sold me an iPhone that died within the first 24 hours of being activated. They did not have any in stock and said it would take about a week to have a new one shipped obviously that didn't work for me so I had to go to apple that night to get it replaced. They assured me that they would give me a new screen protector to make up for my hassle. When I returned to receive the screen protector they told me it wasn't heir problem. You will have to wait in the long line of angry customers to even get to a manager and when you do they tell you that there is nothing they can do for you. They gave me the contact number for BILL, someone higher up but equally useless. He told me that business doesn't work like that. From my experience business does work like that when you make a mistake, you fix it. He was very rude and offensive to me refusing to make up for their mistake. Like always Comcast/Xfinity refuses to help their costumers no matter how long they have been using their services. They are corrupt and only care about the bottom line, not their customers. read more

Deceptive advertising! I'm frankly surprised Xfinity continues to get away with their deceptive practices. They advertise internet service for, as an example, $30 per month for a "one-year contract." What they don't tell you is that the $30 monthly price can be changed at any time by Comcast/Xfinity. As a matter of fact, they routinely raise their prices every January. Thus, a "contract" starting in December, that is advertised at $30 per month for one year, will most certainly be subject to an increase in January, as well as at any other time Xfinity chooses. Firstly, their plans are overpriced. When my wife requested a bump in upload speed due to work requirements, the bill went to over $230/month. In the process, they turned off our DVR service without asking. Yep, additional charge to have it turned back on. A couple of years ago, a tech was concerned about splices in incoming cable. He left the outdoor cable box open, with wires hanging. He had them ditch and run a new incoming coaxial cable, which is STILL coiled up and hanging unterminated. Multiple calls have not gotten resolution. When you can get a human on the phone, it's an Indian call center, so it's difficult at best to communicate and they are just following a script. Another 35 minutes wasted again today explaining. In addition, I had called them about this unterminated cable some two weeks ago. Their "solution" was to send a tech out here on THANKSGIVING DAY with no prior notice! Of course we weren't home, so couldn't point out the still-unterminated cable to the tech. On demand hasn't worked in months, but one can find out more from a Google search than by Xfinity tech support-apparently you must have an updated cable box or DVR. Very poor service. I hope they are saving a ton of money outsourcing tech support to a call center, I'm sure that offsets the huge customer dissatisfaction and frustration. read more

Was not until I asked again how long was the wait and was upset by the wait did they tell me I could send it back via UPS store at no charge. It's impossible to speak to an actual human being when trying to call xfinity or the store. You have to personally go into the store or call and say you want to cancel. Then they may actually connect you to a human. My router disconnects and restarts numerous times between the times of 2-7am with no recorded outages on the app. If you happen to go to the store the employees are kind and will help resolve an issue if they can. None of my issues have been resolved. Waste of money read more

There is no way of speaking to management, everything is automated and calls keep getting transferred to other departments. I have 2 home accounts and 1 business account that I will be disconnecting. As someone who makes their living in the tech industry, I hate them on many levels that a lot of their customers probably aren't even aware of. Heck, even Comcast knows their own name is toxic, that's why they use "Xfinity" for their internet division.The old location here in Murfreesboro was awful as well, and people often called it the Comcast-DMV. However, the new store is a complete change from that. It's clean, the people are nice and professional, and you're greeted and 'triaged' at the door kind of like an Apple Store business model. I was going in to return multiple boxes and DVR's and discontinue TV service; everything was prompt, courteous, and I wasn't given any sales pitches. I was honestly shocked at how painless it was. I dreaded going in to get my phones switched over from Verizon. I am not tech savvy and don't feel most reps are very patient with people like myself that lack knowledge. I was very lucky to arrive when it was not busy. Was greeted immediately and Alyssa helped me through the process so patiently. I have never had a better experience at a phone store. If I had stayed with Verizon (I've been with them for MANY years) and gotten the 2 new phones I wanted, I would be paying $271 a month. With xfinity, same service and phones cost $146 per month. I'm a happy camper. Hopefully the service doesn't let me down. I will be asking for Alyssa every time I go. She has been with them for 5 years (and at this store for 3 of those years), so hopefully she'll be there if I ever need her again. Store was super clean, smelled great, and I only witnessed everyone being treated great and leaving happy. Yay! 5/14/17....Update So, I spent all day yesterday trying to work with them to resolve my issues and not only did they not help but they decided to start ignoring me again. The last I heard from them was at 4:20 pm yesterday. I guess they figured that since a tech came out they would be done with it. Of course, immediately after the tech left my Internet speed dropped to a whopping 2mbps and I'm paying for 75mbps. The tech had even told me that they have been having issues in my area and one of their Supervisors lived in the same complex and he got a maintenance tech to spend several days to locate his issue but now the local supervisor (Nate Yant) refuses to send a maintenance tech out to correct my issue. Their only, and I mean only, option is to use one of their cappy modums. I had one a couple months ago and had the same problem which never got fixed so I spent a ton of money to get a top of the line gigabit modum and router which was 10 times better then what they offer. IT'S JUST ANOTHER WAY FOR THEM TO GET MORE MONEY OUT OF YOU! This all started on Sunday April 23rd after we had a major storm. They have water seeping in somewhere which is causing connection failures and they don't want to spend the manpower or money to fix it. Comcast, as a provider, has issues as many people know. However, trying to make a simple HD Box exchange at the store on North Thompson Lane in Murfreesboro, TN is often a complete waste of time. Usually, you make two (or more) trips before you get a correct replacement box. Our Cable Box gave up the ghost (died) Friday night after several days of unplugging the power cord for 15 - 20 seconds then reconnecting to "power cycle." Saturday, I went by the store to make a very simple exchange. Sunday afternoon was my first opportunity to install the box. After unwrapping the box I discovered the store representative issued the wrong replacement box. I should have checked the contents Saturday after getting home so that the HD Box could be returned for the correct box. Being given the incorrect replacement box is par for the course with this store. Monday evening I went by the store to exchange the box. What happened was a matter of dealing with a so-called store manager who was very argumentative and quite combative. I mentioned that Comcast Corporate Customer Service recommended a certain make and model HD box and confirmed the store had 24 in stock. The "assistant" manager I was dealing with who seemed to be more focused on impressing the lady that was waiting on me, attempted to "assert" his authority stating that the Customer Service Department at Comcast would have no way of knowing what the store had in stock. (Wrong answer!) Rather than dealing with "incompetence" and a "malnourished" ego, I got home and called Corporate Comcast Customer Service, got everything that transpired documented along with the manager's name, etc., included. The customer service representative at Corporate Comcast Customer Service was extremely apologetic and, most important, helpful. My wife and I have the correct HD Box on the way, delivery in 2 business days (shipping charges waived). Also, Comcast is crediting the account for the total number of days without Cable TV service. The reason why I requested a "specific" Make and Model HD Box at the store was because Comcast Customer Service said that the particular HD Box would last from 1 year to 1.5 years before needing to be replaced. Usually, the "refurbished" HD boxes die after 6 months. You can mark it on your calendar. When you start "power cycling" your box, after 3 - 5 days of doing so the box dies. The best way to get the "correct" HD Box that has passed "quality" control inspection is to go directly through the Comcast Corporate Customer Service. You will be very glad that you did. read more

I called Customer Service to report the intermittent services and not working properly. They schedule a time for tech to come out in 2 days, time comes tech doesn't show up. I call back and supposedly the original customer service representative didn't schedule the visit with the tech. I was rescheduled for the next day before noon. Noon came and went no tech, I call again and was told hopefully by 3pm. I don't watch enough tv for this incompetence nonsense. I will give my business to someone else. The xfinity store on Thompson lane in Murfreesboro is a nightmare. As expected there will always be a long wait, although accompanied by the abrasive demeanor of the staff is a perfect headache recipe. Monica, the employee I was 'greeted' by, snatched my modem I was returning from my hand, asked my name, and gave me a receipt with a number. All of this was done with out a hi, hello, or welcome, as well as an absent of "what brings you in today". When I asked for an ETA when id be taken care of, she pointed to the screen listing the waiting customers and told me 11, you're 11th In line, then proceeded to look to the next customer. Might I add, it was not busy, and her 'attention' was not in high demand. I will note that I observed other staff members greeting customers and conversing in a respectable manner. I stress the fact that, Monica gave horrid service, and for Comcast that says a lot. The rest of staff was inexplicably pleasant. read more

I've complained about Comcast so often I'm surprised there's not a warning sticker on my account (maybe there is!) but yesterday I had a really thorough and helpful tech come out. His name is CJ and he figured out NONE of our Comcast equipment was receiving an adequate signal. He started at our house connection, followed it out to our utility pole and even went up a ladder to the amp or something across the street. After he had done all he could he put in two service tickets. By lunchtime there was another guy out working to fix the issue. No sooner did I get a Robo call from Comcast saying it was resolved, than CJ called me himself to say he had logged in to check the equipment and follow up. He called to let me know himself that the signal now looked good!!! Know just me over with a feather....I'm saying good things about Comcast. All because of CJ. read more
