This is not the store, but Xfinity in a whole. I have been a customer since 2010, when they were Comcast. Nothing changed but the name. You still can't get through to a real live person, the automatic service is deplorable! I have only internet and my security now. My bill with TV had gone up to $356 a month. but you would think internet and already paid for cameras and security system from then would have drastoically saved me money, no! Went to $242 a month. I also have Xfinity mobile. When I changed from AT&T, for two lines, one new phone and one that was bringing to them. I get emails from them every week about getting a new free phone, that I am "eligible". That's a joke too! Have tried and they want 1/2 of the cost of the phone. I have perfect credit and their reasonings have been; 1) I'm not eligible because I already have 2 lines??? not adding an extra line! 2) I am still paying for the one phone I purchased when I switched. 3) Whatever they come up with. They are ridiculous and if I didn't live in a small town with no options, I would not give them a penny of my money!!! read more

I am getting a credit score ding because they told me I was getting a free phone! I asked Tiffany if she was sure it was free, And she told me yes three times, I was also signing up for a monthly charge of $25 on the senior citizen program they were advertising. I got charged $25 the first month, the the monthly charge kept going up every month. I'd go in and talk to them and they said the plan I was on had been discontinued! I said after just one month and I received a shrug! Seriously! Then I received a bill over $200; for the free phone! I went in to ask about the bill and was told they didn't have a plan for a free phone. I was getting angrier with each inept person I spoke to in East Peoria. Not surprised, this was the 4th time I had thought they were finally telling customers the truth. I found out they were still liars and crooks! The training they receive has to teach this so I went home, reset the phone and cleared it and took it out to the manager in North Peoria! I made the mistake of not asking for a receipt for the phone. I then get a notice from a debt collector. I ignored it! Then the second one came. I called them and they all speak non coherent Spanish. I asked for someone who speaks English and get told they are speaking English. I walked through the history with Xfinity and the young lady tells me they are processing the collection report. I told her go ahead! What they don't know, I have reported the collection company and Xfinity again for an invalid collection request. I am done with these crooks and liars. I know it all is around their commission they get for screwing customers. But this is the last time they will take this 71 year old woman down their disgusting process and screw me again!!!!!! Beware and don't trust a word that comes out of their phone! Their phone contacts are even worse and none of them speak English that I ever get on the phone! I've been with Comcast for almost 5 years. I got a call from them that my Internet is going from 30.00 a month to 74 a month in my Aug billing cycle. But, they are willing to get it to 40.00 per month. This despite that I've been with them almost 5 years and right now, they have new people enrollment for 20.00 per month. read more

Decided to go back to Xfinity after a four year hiatus. we signed up for a 12-month contract. The service we signed up for was TV and Internet. Since our house was already wired for cable, they just needed to install and activate a DVR box, X1 box (for second TV), and WiFi box. Should have only taken less than an hour. The DVR box he brought was defective, so he had to leave and go somewhere to get another box. Guess what? The second box was also defective. The box looked new because it had heat-shrinked plastic wrap on it. The technician told me it was just an older used box. So, he goes back to the truck and brings back a much smaller DVR box. He told me it was their newest 4K box. We thought to ourselves that this is great, should have given us the newest box the first time. He attempted (with the help from some service person on the phone from India) to activate it. Guess what? They couldn't even figure out how to activate the new 4K box. Now, he goes back out to the truck and brings back in yet another old box. Finally, after almost three and a half hours later, we have service. Too bad the TV box won't provide a 4K signal to our 4K TV. We paid $39 dollars for this nightmare experience. We tried to talk with Xfinity billing to get an installation credit for this bad experience, but no such luck. We wanted to give Xfinity a second chance, but after this bad experience, we'll be leaving them again after our 12 months is up. They will never get a third chance from us. Xfinity told me when I signed up for home security that they cover the cost of the two replacement batteries for the security pad. I chatted online with a rep to get the replacements and the she wrote that they are $5.99 a piece plus $15.99 for shipping. I stated the agreement we had when I first signed on. She stated exactly "we used to do that, we don't anymore". I said that wasn't the agreement. She basically said too bad. Poor service. Never any empathy, apology or a plan to make it right. read more

They seem to me to be a little expensive, since I use one or two channels at most, but they've always given me good service and fast internet. At the store I've never had to wait long and always got a reasonable outcome. A rep got me a supergood deal; that's expired, but the higher price isn't outrageous. read more

My billing went from NEW member $68.99 to end of period $82 and with unlimited $92. Today the rate went up to $115.00. I called and no discounts for just internet users. The $59.99 plan includes internet and STAR but the rental cost and a $10.00 fee for STAR = $110.00 plus tax or $115.00. The lady was nice but this company is ripping us off. NOW If i leave and come back in 6 months I can have the internet package at $68.99. Idiots read more

Went to Comcast Store in Normal to return the TV box and DVR thing they sent me when I asked to have a new modem that they said would make my computer search faster. Megan questioned why I would not want such a thing. I stated that I could not figure out how to hook it up. She implied that I was pretty stupid. "The instructions were to complicated for you". No the instructions were not clear. She stated all you have to do is hook the coaxial cable here and into the TV". That is not what the instructions said. Later she continued to act like I was stupid. Yes I am 75 years old and she is twenty something, but I am college educated and was in management for over 30 years. She said "well you could call customer service". I said half the time you can not understand those people. She said "well everyone needs a job". Which is fine except it does the customer no good if the rep can not be understood. In addition she brought up a number for my next bill that was $60.00 higher than my current bill. I questioned it, she stated "that is what you pay". I refused to sign it and she recalculated and came up with the correct bill. I do not trust Comcast. read more

Don't get their service! They will change your package without fully explaining it making you think you are getting what you want, then you realize you lost certain channels you specifically told them you wanted to keep. Then when you call in to change back to what you previously had, they want to charge you for it. This company is a major rip off scam. I cannot wait until a competitor is in my area. Comcast is the absolute worst company ever! First they raised our monthly bill by $100. Then they weren't willing to help bring it down to a reasonable price until I called to schedule a cancellation (too late now I already set something up with metronet). I scheduled the cancellation date for this Friday and they shut us off today. Our new service isn't scheduled to be hooked up till Thursday. I called and after being on hold for 2 hours and talking to 5 different people, they refused to turn it back on. It was their mistake and they weren't willing to make it right. Comcast has the worst customer service that I have ever encountered. They sent me two replacement cable boxes. When installing them, I received notice that I had to add them to my account. The first box took 1 hour and 1/2 to get added and not until I reached their tier 3 tech support. All the while as I was on hold, a message kept telling me how wonderful their services was. The second box took 45 minutes for the tech support to tell me that I had the wrong box and needed to return it. I could include so many more items, but I will summarize by stating that Comcast Support is the worst! read more
