I got off the phone with Comcast and headed to the store for the first time to deal with an equipment issue that couldn't be resolved on the phone without a home appointment several days later. In my angry state, I left my modem at home (which needed to be replaced). Got to the store around 2p.m. on a weekday--this is clearly the best time to go. No one was in the place at the time except for several staff members. I checked in with the friendly gentleman who had opened the door for me, and then took a seat. I was called up to the service desk about a minute later. The woman who assisted me with returning my confusing equipment and getting a new cable/internet modem was very friendly, helpful, and quick. She clarified the terms of my Comcast deal and didn't try to up-sell me. I was out of there within ten minutes or so with a new box. All I have to do now is drop my old one back off. I was shocked at how great this experience was. Thanks, Gateway Plaza XFinity. I hope to have the same luck next time. read more

In a day and age when customer service 'ain't what it used to be,' this Comcast/xfinity service call hit it out of the park. Honestly, it was the best service call I've ever experienced in my life. Setting up appointment was easy and within 48 hours. Two confirmation texts that morning (one to confirm "he's just arrived at your location") and this tech, I believe named Todd, spent the next hour and a half going through every component of my service, from up on the roof of our 6 story building, to every connector and wire in the home. He found multiple bad/cheap splitters, and a bad coax cable, all which he replaced, and replaced the modem with the new white model. Checked everything and explained everything, and made sure my wi-fi was rock solid and my hard-wired computer was zipping along as it should. Hat's off, Todd, and xfinity! read more

Not once, twice now have I directly witnessed your drivers running my stop sign at Felt St and Paget St. Another time one of your drivers completely rolled the stop sign at Portola and 30th, where he proceeded to flip off another car, and race down the road before turning off onto a side street! I really wish I could give this place 0 Stars. I set up a promise to pay and the worker that set it up on Wednesday 7/12 set it up for the wrong day, he set it for Thursday 7/13 instead of Friday 7/14 which I requested. My cable gets shut off again on Thursday 7/13, so I go in there to get it turned back on and the people inside said no problem we'll turn it back on and we'll put a note in the computer saying that they set up the promise to pay for the wrong day. I go in again today at 9am Friday 7/14 because they shut off my cable and internet again, this is the day I'm supposed to pay I don't get my paycheck until 4pm. I asked the Xfinity Sales guy if he can turn back on my cable and internet and I will be back into pay at 4pm, he said no problem and tells me he turned it back on. I go back home and my cable and internet are still shut off. So, I go back again today 7/14/17 at 10:00 am, and I have some rude manager lady come up to me and tell me they won't turn back on my cable and internet until I pay and that I shouldn't have come in the last 3 days and asked for them to keep turning it back on, when in reality the person that wrote the note in the first place on 7/12 is the one that screwed it all up, otherwise I wouldn't have had to keep coming back in and my cable and internet would still be on. I tell the manager lady that the worker screwed up the first time I came in on Wednesday 7/12 he wrote the wrong date on the promise to pay note and that I will pay it at the end of the day today 7/14, which was supposed to be the original promise to pay date. The manager lady did not want to listen to my story she just kept interrupting me and would not help me out, I told her that they turned it back on for me yesterday and her reply was "well I wasn't here yesterday so I don't know", she didn't even go look for somebody else, or go ask anybody else, or look up anything in the computer, she just came up to me after I signed in and was telling me all this, at that point I told her that "I'm done with you guys this is crazy", she replied "go ahead that's fine". I didn't look at what her name was cuz I was so pissed and annoyed, but I'm going back in there today to pay and find out what her name is, I will edit this once I get her name. She also mentioned something about new hires not being allowed to turn back on people's cable, or do promises to pay, however the people that did my promises to pay and that told me they could turn back on my internet today were new hires. If you can find any other cable place to go to other than Xfinity I say do it. All they do is give you the run-around and this place over charges for everything, I pay $250 a month for cable and internet, that's ridiculous. You can guarantee that I will be trying to find another way to get cable and internet through a different company. I might just get internet through another company and find other ways to stream cable TV. Dealing with this place isn't worth any of it, the only reason that I need to have my cable and internet turned on is because I work from home. I wouldn't even be mad if they didn't screw up my whole promise to pay and if they told me the first day I went in that I can't get my services turned back on until it is paid. Instead they said it was fine and that I would be good to pay on Friday and if for some reason I got the cable and internet shut off before Friday to come back in and they would turn it back on. That's why I'm so mad because I was told that everything would be all good. I've been a Comcast customer for at least 10 years, what a great way to treat your long-time customers. They used to have a really awesome crew of people that worked in there, I noticed just recently that they're all gone and it's all new people that have no idea what they're doing or saying. Expect to wait and expect to not be told you are entering a contract. I came in to get month to month internet with no contract and now that I'm cancelling I am being told I was in a contract package deal and I must pay to cancel. They also don't give you the speeds you are paying for. When I called to get support they told me My internet speed was for 25mbps when my internet plan was 125mbps! Things are perfectly okay when I was there to trying to open an account. Minimal waiting time and the staffs were friendly. The second time I went was to get the box and to make sure they get the installation time right. I opened an account for Triple play(which includes the security camera system) and they said they will need 2 separate installation appointments; one for the Internet and Tv, one for the cameras. OK, if you say so. I scheduled the appointment installing the camera A MONTH AND A HALF in advance in order to secure a spot for a weekend installation (since they say camera jobs are full day and there is no way for me to be there full day for a weekday). No scheduled appointment time were showed on the Comcast account, but I thought I was contacting the store manager back and forth and I kept emphasizing I NEED a weekend installation time, he scheduled a weekend time for me. *side note: it was a trainee that was trying to schedule my time at first, and then I came back the next day AGAIN just to verify if the trainee has gotten everything down. I then spoke to the store manager again that I need a weekend time. NOT THE CASE! I was called earlier to notify me my installation appointment is on a FRIDAY. Wtf? A month and a half of waiting for this failure of understanding and communication between Comcast and their customers? I don't buy this shit. Now I need to trouble myself and perhaps mess up with my whole day's schedule to try to accommodate the Comcast person, when they are supposed to be the side accommodating customers. Thumbs down. Yes, we've experienced the same frustration as everybody else. Here is this brand new store equipped with tv's and a huge waiting room but nobody to help us. I counted 8 computers for the staff to service their customers yet there were only 2 employees helping a packed waiting room. It sounds like staffing is always an issue. I don't know what people were waiting for but in our 45 minutes waiting one staff member was helping his customer for the whole time we were there. At this rate you'd have to be there all day to maybe talk to someone. Needless to say I ended up leaving as did many others. The store is totally mismanaged. I'd call customer service for help but I've read other reviews about people waiting a long time even on the phone. I agree with the other reviewers. Worst customer service ever. Went inside, in person, to pay our bill and inquire about an unexplained increase. After a 25 minute wait, another customer arrived, and a person popped out of the back, and immediately began to wait on her. We gritted our teeth and made eye contact. No apology, or "I'll be right with you" just processed her inquiry and her equipment. Then, when it seemed it MIGHT be our turn, the clerk said" I'm really not here and can't wait on you." And disappeared back into the back. After ten more minutes, the other clerk became free, and then nearly admonished us for not using the website! Refused to answer our questions regarding the increase, but processed our payment and told us to return home and phone the call center regarding our questions. Just got off the call with Comcast who kept me on hold for 21 minutes then transferred me around to tech support and security (?) without anyone knowing how to download my saved TV shows onto my MAC. I stopped by the store without my computer and they said its simple but their instructions were not in line with whats on the screen They spend 150-200 million on ad campaigns touting all these benefits but they are not intuitive nor do their employees know how to help. This what happened at the Comcast/Xfinity store yesterday when I went in to see about getting cable and a DVR, a potential new customer: I waited for help. The customer service agent pushed the triple-play deal. He wouldn't tell me about just cable + DVR service and when he did, he looked up the prices in the brochure and it would cost more than triple-play. The triple-play price doesn't include a DVR. Also, I would be charged to upgrade the cable line since it hadn't been used for a few years - why do I pay for them to upgrade the product I am buying? Shouldn't the product be current and functional when I purchase it? He told me the $89.99 triple play price included all taxes - that's not what I hear from friends. He ended our transaction without telling me - no kidding. I walked out completely stunned. Here is what I learned: The information on the website is inconsistent with information in the store. Basic or starter cable + DVR is nearly $100 per month. The triple-play deal doesn't include basic or starter cable. To get a DVR you must get OnDemand even though I don't want it. A DVR is twice the monthly rental price when not part of triple-play. read more

I wish I could give zero stars but even there rating practice is unfair. I called customer service to disconnect a business account due to the closure of my business on 7/1/15. I was told that I would have to give 60 days notice (while I had already completed my contract) and I would be charged for the next 60 days and my usual rate of $220 per month, totaling $440 for a business that was already closed. I have been hit hard by the 2008 recession, I have lost all 4 of my businesses and Comcast has billed me for thousands of dollars for "services" after my doors have closed. I'm glad I'm a carpenter and get to swing a hammer for a living every day. Found an abandoned router laying next to a recycle bin. Took it in to this store to see if I could use it for my service. The customer service clerk took it, brought it to his manager and the manager refused to give it back saying it was their private property. I was stunned. Popped in to exchange our broken modem. This was our first visit to the new store, which lets customers sit while waiting - a nice change, particularly if you're carrying equipment with you. It's also in a convenient location with plenty of parking. There were 6 people ahead of us on a Tuesday afternoon. The wait was less than 30 mins. Our svc asst was Cory and he was great - very pleasant and helpful! In addition to the modem exchange, we asked about changing up our services and he told us the options without being pushy and ended up saving us ~$60/month! We're still not huge fans of Comcast in general, but the new store/service center is pretty good. read more

For no apparent reason our Xfinity bill for our Triple Play service just jumped from $180 to $300 this month. We were paying $99 when we first signed up (the price they have listed on their website to lure you in) but it's been steadily rising ever since. I'm absolutely sick of this. Goodbye Comcast. What an incredibly annoying experience. I went in the store to purchase some of the wifi extender units. Should take two minutes. The greeters said "hmmm, we'll see if we can find somebody to ring you up" and something about the system taking a log time to boot up. My husband and I went there today it was nice and empty we were helped right away and they solved our problem. Comcast sent us a huge cable box that we did not want we just want the internet but have to buy cable with the internet to save money. But we did not want to store and be responsible for the large cable box they sent us unsolicited. We went to return it and the clerk said we could have internet only but it would cost us more. A gentleman who seemed like a manager came up with a solution he gave us a very small box that we could store easily and still continue with our package and no extra cost. All done in just a few minutes. Awesome!!! read more

I got really nervous about having to return my equipment after reading the reviews, but it ended up being a really quick and easy experience. My name was called within 30 seconds of adding it to the waiting list, and the gentleman helping me took all of 5 minutes to return 4 boxes. I even mentioned to him how awful the reviews were and how I was expecting to be there all day, and he said it was definitely like that when they first opened the location, but since then they've made improvements to make the process smoother.
