While trying them on, we told the employee (who appeared to be the owner or manager) that we thought she needed the next size up. Our daughter also wasn't completely sure about the fit. However, we were assured that the smaller size was the correct fit and were encouraged not to size up. Since this is a specialty dance store, we trusted her professional recommendation. Unfortunately, after wearing the shoes for her very first ballet class, my daughter's feet were hurting badly. We called the store hoping they could help us find a solution. Instead of showing any understanding, we were met with a rude attitude and were told, "You should have gotten a bigger size." That was especially frustrating because we originally wanted the bigger size and were talked out of it by the person helping us. I understand that stores have return policies, especially on worn dance shoes. This review isn't about expecting a free return--it's about the lack of customer service and accountability after we relied on the store's professional advice. We simply hoped they would work with us in some way, whether through an exchange, store credit, or another reasonable solution. Instead, we felt dismissed and blamed.
