As soon as we were seated, she was there with menus and taking our drink order. She was fast getting our drinks and our food came out very fast and it was hot and crispy. We arrived a couple minutes before our reserved time, and were promptly seated - our waitress was great- attentive, timely, and just on point. Bread came out- while not too warm (and it cooled very quickly), it hit the spot. I got a glass of cabernet sauvignon while hubby had a mocktail. Our starter was a shrimp cocktail- always hits the spot. While not "quite" as jumbo or crisp as I'd like, it was fresh and tasty. I ordered the artichoke, potato, and leek soup- loved it! Hubby ordered their signature pork chop and oh my god- that thing was huge! No joke- it was humongous! The taste was mildly reminiscent of a Honeybaked Ham, but it was OH so tender and juicy! I had a koji-aged filet mignon, cooked perfectly at a medium- and I was amazed with the flavor- absolutely spot on! I'd ordered it Oscar Style (lump crab and asparagus) but on the side. We ordered, as well, au gratin potatoes for our side. Now, frankly, I gotta tell you- my eyes are now MUCH bigger than my tummy! Couple that with multiple pours from a great bourbon selection, and it was a perfect night. Is it the cheapest place to eat? Absolutely not. Is it worth every penny? Absolutely yes.
