Came in to visit at a slow time and loved it! The salesperson was super nice and gave them mediate and good feedback regarding options. As this was our first time to hookah he took his time and went line by line through the menu. Offered us multiple suggestions and inquired about certain things that we liked. I have been away from the hookah scene for a few years and was unsure of where to go. I used to go to a place in Glendale heights but saw their yelp reviews were low. Seeing that Inferno had good reviews I thought why not give it go. It's really nice that they are open until 1 A.M. on the weekdays since I go out throughout the week if I can and most hookah lounges close their doors at midnight. Between my best friend and I for a hookah to share, 2 diet cokes and kill a few hours of a Thursday cost $22 and it was well spent. The staff was friendly and gave recommendations on their menu, the music in the lounge is at a background volume so you can hear the music but it is not so loud that you cannot hear what people are saying. Awesome awesome just awesome place. New ownership has made this place immaculate. EVERYTHING is set up so perfectly-- when we came he had our spot all set up ready for us. I had a real canteloupe shisha (hookah), and he kept bringing us more each time more girls joined us. Did not stop offering drinks and they have great munchies too. They top off your shisha as much as you need. He has a large range of hookahs- and his best are the glass ones- great, smooth flavor and feel. I LOVE the set up and decor-- great vibes all around and had a good busy flow all night. Not too crowded and not too empty. Service is the best here-- and I've been to many spots. Most places they're too busy to keep an eye on you or you never see them; or they're downright rude. Here, they kept checking on us, friendly, generous, accommodating- they know how to please the customer! Not impressed with this lounge. They make you spend $12 per person and if you get a hookah you have to get 1 hookah for every two people. I thought this was kinda ridiculous there was no way I could smoke that much hookah! Our smoothies were not good. I also did not like the ambiance of the place. I love this place! Although it's a bit of a ways away, it is really worth the drive! Came here on a Saturday evening and it was poppin'!! Easily accessible by highway, not by train (at least not to my knowledge). I had a friend arrive before me and she was able to get us a table before we arrived but otherwise, it was about a fifteen minute wait. I mean, when you find a good hookah spot, you're not inclined to leave for two to three hours so I understood the wait. The place was packed with people, all the tables were full and the place felt very much alive. It was a little loud- not from people talking but from the music so I had to tell a little louder to be heard by my friends who sat across the way from me. We were seated and automatically someone came over to greet us and discuss the menu. We ordered watermelon with mint hookah and sex on the beach. There were four of us, one hookah for two people. We didn't wait long for our hookah- about ten minutes but Omgosh, it was delicious !! I loved, loved, loved the watermelon mint and you could really taste the fusion of the two flavors! Neither of the hookah were faulty in the sense that we weren't able to puff. In fact, there was plenty to puff!! In addition, a server came around a lot to check on our coal or replace it. We had our coal replaced once. We were here for about two hours and then we dipped because the couches were so comfortable that we were about to fall asleep. Great hookah lounge with great service but unfortunately I just can't be around the smoke because it makes me light headed and I loose my voice every time I am around it. We went in with a group of 9 and we got 3 hookahs and the per person charge was only $9- this seems very reasonable because I have been to other places that require a $15-$20 minimum per person if there is a group over a certain size. It's $25 to reserve it if you want it for under 25 party and you can have your own space as well as you can control music for that room Their hookah are fairly cheap and pretty good. They have a lot of variation of flavor with their house mixes. I have try their Arab house mix, which is cinnamon and mint and is really smooth. I usually get lemon mint here and it's awesome. They have very club kind if light with great music and Tvs everywhere and they show sports event on them all the time They are have coco naras coals that are better than regular coal so that is cool. They also have mango juice, which is very good. Overall, whenever I go here, it's always a great experience. P.S. they always take care of their regulars. We went on a weeknight and it was almost dead, but peaceful. We chose a carpeted room with floor throw pillows instead of the regular tables. It is $13 for a carpeted room and $9 for the regular tables. I think that means $9 or $13 minimum per person. Most hookah lounges have a minimum charge per person, which goes towards the hookah and drinks. I like that we had privacy with the drapes dividing the other lounges on either side of us. There was a bright fish tank in the lounge adjacent to where we were; the light was sort of peeking into our area, but it was cool & I kept moving the drape aside to look it; very soothing & ambient. I liked the music; it wasn't some DJ blaring loud dance music like some of the other hookah lounges have (but then again, we went on a weeknight; they might have that loud music on a weekend). The Egyptian tea we ordered was soooo good. We ordered food, too, but I heard food is not allowed to be served in hookah bars, so I'm not sure if they quit serving food since we went. Supposedly, Wednesdays are $10 days, but I'm not sure if that means a $10 minimum per person. Bad: First off, 18% smoke tax, you have to pay per person, and their credit card machine wasn't working, so we had to pay in all cash, because of course they do not take checks. The way this place works is that you pay per person and get unlimited coals. We had 2 hookahs. In essence, 3 ppl going to a hookah bar turned into $46.05. ($15.35 a person). The Passion Kiss is a bad flavor, and I do not recommend it. Good: The flavor of strawberry Margarita was delicious and I would gladly smoke it again. I'd have to say this will be a biased review because this place is what I would call my "Cheers". But this had to start somewhere, right? I first came here on a summer evening on a weekend in July, 2008. It was recommended by one of my boyfriend's friends, one that I don't think too highly of, so I took his recommendation with a grain of salt. We came in with a group of eight to ten at about 9pm and we were quickly seated. Inferno's payment style are minimums based on where you are seated per person (but sometimes this changes for special events) - $9 per regular tables, $13 for carpeted rooms, and $17 for the VIP room in the back. After surveying the joint and seeing the nice decor (brightly lit freshwater fish tank, four flat screen TVs, decorative hookahs, the owner's motorcycle, mood lighting, and now a DJ booth), we took a seat in one of the smaller rooms. So we sit down and hours later, I leave very happy! I fancy myself a hookah fiend (which is never a good thing) and have been to many places around the city, so I have to say this takes the cake! Everyone was happy with their drinks, their hookah flavors, and the music is either the mix of Hip-Hop and Rap to Arabic favorites - sometimes there's even a DJ, depending on the day you go. Hookahs are $13 a piece, drinks range from $1.50-$5, and they have some items to nibble on. If it's yourself and one other, the $18 it would cost to sit at a table for two already covers one hookah and drinks. I never sit at the tables though since it's right at the front door and Chicagoland is freezing. One con I have to say, they run out of things during the week, which is when I regularly go to hang out. I always ALWAYS order the mango smoothie, but they usually run out of the ingredients for it before I get there. Otherwise, they are stocked with great shisha and lots of energy drinks! This past weekend was the first time I'd heard they ran out of Mint. Well, ever since then, I've frequented regularly and have become friends with the owner and manager. We had been here before and although their service is extremely slow and you're literally inhaling coal smoke and choking, the dance floor is fun. Needless to say we will never return to this spot. This place is a rip off. Recently moved from Toronto to Chicago and have been to manyyyy hookah lounges. Hookah here is decent, they don't have prices listed for their drinks/snacks on the menu. They do not give you a bill which details what you've ordered and what exactly you're paying for. You go to the counter and they just give you an amount to pay. Extremely shady. They charge you more than the hookah prices listed on the menu. They think people are stupid. I understand you're running a business but over charging people is not the way. Loved this place. Staff is super friendly and ambiance is great. They have great music on the weekends. It is definitely a great vibe and you feel happy being here. I would definitely recommend their hookahs because they use Khalil mahmoon brand (not sure if I spelled it right...) however it makes a difference in the type of hookah you use. They also have a great list of flavor choices so you have options. Their hookah also lasts super long and doesn't burn because they come to change your charcoal. I'm literally here almost every weekend and reading some of those low star reviews is funny to me because I was there when half those things happened! Lol no one get turned down from entry, they have created drama at inferno so the owner plays it smart now, the service isn't slow, music is too loud and yes it gets crazy cuz there's a party every weekend there. It's hands down one of the most craziest spots from hookahs to parties, even if they have no space they always figure something out. I was pleasantly surprised when my friends and I walked into this place. I wasn't expecting much from this place seeing the outside was nothing more then a regular looking storefront inside a small shopping plaza. But once you step inside, you are magically transported to another time and place, say Morocco or Istanbul. The place had a very nice exotic décor and feel, something from the world of Sinbad and Alladin's Lamp. The place had exotic curtains, extravagant pillow on the floors and low tables so all your friends can sit on the floor and smoke some Hookah's on the side. There are different nooks and areas where your friends can smoke, including one room with an aquarium Stepping inside for the first time, my friends and I didn't expect there to be a dance floor, but at the end of the night, we were all dancing and sweating away our stress from the work week and having a smokin good time with our Hookah's !!! On the weekends, the main floor is turned into a small dance floor. When we came here Friday night, there were 2 DJ's playing a good mix of Dance music, and a good mix of crowd, young and old. At times, they would play some really awesome Belly Dancing or Middle eastern dance music. If you are unfamiliar with what a Hookah is, basically it is a large glass wooden object with a rubber pipe (to inhale the smoke) and a top mouth where you place a lighted charcoal. You place water and a flavored shisha or tobacco inside the glass tank and light the charcoal on top of the mouth which boils the water and produces a flavored smoke which you and your friends inhale via the rubber pipe piece. You can have different flavor shisha's like Apple Cinnamon or Arabian Coffee. It's a milder way of smoking than your regular pipe tobacco and the Hookah forces you to share in a group setting. It's a social kinda smoking in a way. The first time I smoked a Hookah was in Egypt, as it was the customary way to socialize with friends and family, and I bought myself one as a souvenir and have never used it since then. Now, after coming to this place and seeing how much fun my friends can have with a Hookah, I will have to dust off my Hookah and have my own Hookah party !!! Wooo Hoooo !!!! I've been here twice and loved it both times! They have nice carpeted rooms with low tables. Basically, you lay down and relax on the floor with plenty of cushy pillows. It's a very chill atmostphere as any hookah lounge should be. The first time I was there, we were in one of the rooms with the fish tank. Very cool. There was an Arabic party going on with ethnic music and had a very authentic feel to the club. The second time there was a dj playing music you would hear on B96 or Kiss fm with a remix to it. The only reason I give it 4 stars is because the bathrooms were dirty both times I was there and no toilet paper whatsoever (GROSS!). Also, the Monster I ordered was room-temp because they ran out of cold so I had to exchange it for a cold Redbull.
