I recently visited this hookah bar and was thoroughly disappointed with the service. The staff seemed disinterested and took no interest in correcting the order. When the hookah finally arrived, it was poorly prepared, lacking flavor, and burned quickly. The ambiance was also lacking, the smoke was not exhausted. On Friday they don't have pineapple heads, or teas in stock. Overall, a very disappointing experience that I would not recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing evening out. I paid 100$ for 1 hookah and tea. Paying expensive here with bad customer service is not worth it. read more

They were flavorless and became harsh super quick! One of the hookahs had zero flavor so we asked the guy to change it at 7:50 pm and he just walked away. Instead of fixing our hookah he went and started talking to the girls behind us. At 8:30 pm we asked the guy AGAIN to change the same hookah and he said yes but walked away AGAIN without taking the hookah with him. We had been sitting at the lounge for an hour and a half and we were completely disregarded both times. At 9 we decided that we wanted to leave and told the server we should not be charged for one of the hookahs because of the utter disregard for our satisfaction. She then called the owner over and we explained to him what happened. He did not apologize for his employee's actions and he said "I DO NOT CARE ABOUT CUSTOMER SERVICE I CARE ABOUT PAYING MY BILLS". In the two minutes we spoke to him, it was clear he lacked professionalism and only cared about money. The owner treated us in a disgusting, aggressive manner and I wish no one would be treated that way. Save your money and go to a different hookah lounge. It's not worth the hassle. If I could give this location and the terrible management zero stars I WOULD. read more

Expensive, but the hookah was definitely worth it. As an avid hookah smoker, this place has bowl beyond belief. The reason I've only given them a 3 star is because everything, other than the hookah, was pretty bad. The space is really small, the tables are really flimsy. The seats are uncomfortable. The staff is pretty rude and give a lot of attitude. I was curious to know about their packing methods that they brag about so much, but the dude wouldn't even give me a straight forward answer. And to top it all off, they ask you to either get cash (they don't have an ATM) or to QuickPay or Zelle the owner money. That's super shady and weird. EDIT: No one was asking for secrets about your good hookah. It was basic questions, that don't "reveal" any secrets. And no, the multiple times I've came, I've only been offered QuickPay or cash. One of the girls seemed like she was drugged- didn't even know how to treat or talk to customers right. She was rude from the start when no one did anything to her. Also I have been reading the bad reviews from some people and the owner seems to copy and paste their answers back to customers saying they trashed the place or switched furniture around which doesn't seem very realistic if you're telling the same thing to everyone. Definetly not professional. Learn how to run a place first before taking other people's criticism. Hopefully they won't delete this review or the other bad reviews since all the other reviews are mostly positive and they usually delete the negative ones. Hookah and seating area is very nice. They might actually have the finest quality hookah I've ever come across. The owner is trash, though. He has such a rude and mean attitude. Anytime I ask him a question, he sighs. If my friend would like to be seated somewhere a little further from the door during colder weather, he rolls his eyes and says no. Came into Milan Hookah today all the way from the city & they had the worst service EVER! We booked a table for 6:45pm and we came around 7:10 because city traffic, you know the deal. But, we walk in & there are 3 tables sitting there totally empty, but their server refused to seat us and gave us helllllla attitude. We went back to talk to the manager & he sat us but we wanted to leave right away because we got attitude from the lady server for the rest of the night. Milan Hookah (Hookah Time) is the best lounge experience I've had in the Chicagoland area. Talk about passion, they have regal hookahs (one of the best in the industry), coconut coals, heat management, top of the line hose and bowl. I can't even describe how amazing the flavor is. Some friends and I tried to arrange a party at Milan, spoke to one of the owners to set a price, and walked away happy. When we called back to confirm, the other owner not only flat out denied us the price we had agreed on, he refused to offer us any sort of discount. We've been to almost every hookah lounge in Schaumburg and this place is the one that keeps us coming back for more. Its a really simple formula for success: good couches + great hookah + good music + a friendly, easy-going owner = great hookah lounge. Some places drown the entire lounge in ear-splitting music and others seem like the local high-school meetup place, but this place isn't like that at all. Its a perfect place to just kick back with people and actually HEAR them...haha. The best part is, theres something for everyone. If you like to sit on the floor and smoke hookah, they have curtained off areas for that. If you want to grab drinks, there is an attached bar literally 15 seconds away. If you want to just lay back and smoke hookah, they are as good as it gets. Thers nothing more we could want in a hookah lounge (besides maybe smokin' hot waitresses)! read more

Milan used to be good years ago and was extremely busy. Now they are not that good. Additionally the serving staff shows an attitude which is unacceptable. I think it is the owner (female). Try Sukhadia's opposite the street at the corner of Golf and Gannon. Milan should take a lesson from these professionals. Last time I went to Milan for a quick snack I was told to go to an ATM and bring cash for my $9 check or to spend atleast $15 to pay by cc. Guess what I did? Took my business to Sukhadia's and they had no problem with cc. Also at a neighborhood desi party last weekend everyone had something to say regarding the attitude at Milan. Liked the nice ambience of this place, the service was good, also a modern Russian music played in the background was probably the best factor for me. The only strange thing about this place is that they do not take any forms of credit cards, not sure if it's publicly advertised on their website anywere (probably not), but just be aware that's how the deal is at this place, just to be prepared before your night out. read more

This is one of those places that you can't judge by its cover- give it a chance and you will be pleasantly surprised! Hands down beautiful tasting flavors- owner makes any blend you like. It's COMFORTABLE. I can't tell you how many spots annoy the heck outta me from their uncomfortable furniture! Every single seat in this house is cushiony & comfortable - makes all the difference! Finally and most importantly the customer service is perfect. Personal, friendly, and welcoming. There weren't any customers when I arrived with my boyfriend around 10pm but the environment was very chill. We were acknowledged right away and experienced great service. It wasn't as exciting as the other hookah lounges I have been to but that could be because we went on a Tuesday night. We had a great time and appreciated the good service. I went to the Rogers park location, despite my request I was refused a menu, I saw every other customer offered a menu. I was offered a water I was later charged for, I was also made to order without knowing the price or what I was getting. Despite the spacious interior I was asked to move after being served my hookah and was offered a 10% discount for the inconvenience. At the end of my visit I was handed a $41 check for a shisha I was not allowed to select from the menu and a a water I did not want, no discount was given on the check. I was disgusted read more

I'll start with this. The place has tons of potential.. But here's where this places falls short. I also see this place is under new ownership, which looks like is the reason for all this. Service was mediocre, for one. The servers took a long time to change coals and had way too many coals burning, making the hookah way too strong for most of the time. The pricing of this place is absolutely LAUGHABLE. The owner has the audacity to think he owns a place nice enough to sell a $400 hookah at a place with cheap, flimsy tables and a bathroom that is dirtier than gas stations I've been in. Don't get me wrong, they use high quality hookahs. But $65 for two people, you best be giving me a spectacular presentation, very very nice environment that has been invested into and a nice or at least CLEAN bathroom. Wish I can give this place 0 stars. The old owner Sam always created a great atmosphere when I would visit... new ownership is beyond shocking.. Customer service I received on a Friday night was absolutely terrible ( Wasn't even busy) waitress was very rude and had no personality, long wait to get my coals changed, barley even came to our table.. Would never spend a penny back at that place again. My friend wrote a bad review on google and it somehow disappeared? Strange :) Just a tip to the new owners: STOP arguing with customers, take the feed back that was received and improve your business. Highly would not recommend coming here. Amazing hookah!! Honestly tastes like fruit and the people who work there really know how to make their hookah. The prices are fairly priced and you can split with a group for a hookah. Its different from other hookahs where they charge you per person, even if you don't smoke . This is the best hookah place my friends and I have been to. Hookahs are consistently good and never turn harsh. The owner is a nice guy who is easy to talk to and get along with. If you ask him to mix you something, he makes his own mix of shishas that always taste great. It's a small, intimate place, which I think is awesome. I have smoked hookah at several place in and around schaumburg, Chicago city, San Deigo, and even abroad. In terms of quality of hookah i rate this place 8 out of ten. Quality of tobacco matters, infact last month I was in Belgium, went to this Moroccan Sheesha place in North Brussels, if you happen to be in Brussels do go this place. They have very friendly service and just the overall atmosphere is excellent. Not to mention that the hookah there is the best and it is very affordable. Coming from Chicago I've been to plenty of great Hookah lounges. Ugly and Carthage are among my personal favorites. This Hookah lounge though was just fair if not a little below average. The atmosphere so-so and the hoses had a soapy taste that ruined the flavor of one of the hookahs which may lead one to assume their cleaning of the hookahs aren't as good as they should be. Otherwise the service was very nice and the furniture was very comfortable. So I guess if you live nearby and you want to hookah with some friends it's a good place to go, but if you'd like to experience a more authentic better tasting selection I'd recommend the trek to Chicago. Also the pricing was kind of screwy. 5 people and 3 hookahs ran me about $80 which is ridiculous. You won't find that often in the Chicago selection because at those prices the customers will go broke. read more

Would give negative stars if I can. This place is terrible, worst service ever + they apply minimum charge per person (new law). My friend used her number to make a reservation and when she reviewed the place on yelp the owner called her personal number and yelled at her invading her privacy. I got hookah, cappuccino and coffee and non of them were even of an acceptable quality. We were total of 7 people, our total (which we ordered) in the check was $60 with no receipt and when my friend asked for one. We saw probably "the owner" yelling at the waitress and HE came back to make us pay the "minimum charge per person law" that he applies at his place. As I said earlier we made reservation on the phone and when we got there they said there's no table for us and we gave to wait an hour. Then one of us talked to him and he said alright 5 mins and gave us a table as people left. Also, we had to ask for a drink more than 3 times to get it. Definitely this ain't a place to enjoy my night. read more
