    Pearls...

Portion size is pretty big but $12-14 for a bowl regular stone pot noodles now. The specialty ones are more. I went around 2 pm on a weekday and was the only table. I ordered a pu er milk tea with pearls, they didn't t have it. Ordered another one. The pearls were ridiculous, I could already tells when she brought the cup over and looked like they have been chewed up. The waitress was not apologetic at all. They didn't have any more pearls so ordered a mango milk tea with coconut jelly for $6.50. I could still taste the grit of the mango powder. I still love their noodles even though the broth is on the saltier side. They have a good bounce and come piping hot and I also love the condiment station. Will never order drinks there again but want them to stay in business for their rice noodles.

Xiang Yuan Qiao has three locations. They have one in Richmond, one in the food court at Crystal mall and one in Coquitlam. They opened in 2010 and have been growing strong since! Their menu offers mostly rice noodles but they do have a few rice dishes to choose from as well if that is more to your liking. They offer one version called cross bridge rice noodle where they give you boiling hot soup and you add in all the ingredients yourself or you can order it pre-made. The version where you get to put everything in yourself comes at a higher price point but it is a cool experience to have if it is your first visit. We decided to order one of each so we could compare the two. Beef brisket pot came with a chicken broth base and the beef brisket only made it all the more flavorful. For $10.95, Grayson definitely didn't think that there would be as much brisket that there was so he was pleasantly surprised. The rice noodles were nice and smooth but still had a bite to them. Even though Grayson likes everything to be packed with flavor, he said that the soup had enough on it's own already. Another thing we noticed was the the soup stayed piping hot our entire visit because of the clay pot!

New rice noddle place inside Lincoln centre in Coquitlam. They had replace a Vietnamese restaurant (Pho Sen). After months of renovation it has finally opened. Disclosure, I'm not a fan of soup in general. But needed to try this place. Newly renovated the place looks nice. Service was good and fast. I've been here now a couple if times. I've had the beef brisket soup with noodles. It was good and very hot temperature wise, you've been warned you will burn your mouth like I did, presentation looks like a hot pot. My husband and I have a Taiwanese go to soup place in Burnaby and I still feel the place is better just more depth of flavours in the broth compared to this place, noddles were nice. Overall, I will be back location is very convenient for me as I work in the building.

I've been here several times since the restaurant opened and it's one of my favorite restaurants in Coquitlam! The hot bowl of tasty noodles is perfect on a cold day. My go to order is always the assorted pot rice noodle. It comes with beef, pork belly, chicken, and lamb for only an extra dollar ($10.75) compared to other items which only have one meat option. I love variety! There are unlimited toppings as well, like green onion, garlic, cilantro, spicy chilli oil, and other condiments. I love adding loads of chopped garlic into the noodles, as it adds a nice kick to the soup. They also have an option where the noodles and ingredients come separately from the hot soup. Personally, I wouldn't order it again, as the soup wasn't hot enough by the time all the ingredients were placed inside. The restaurant is decorated nicely with painted walls. The story behind 'cross bridge noodles' is also quite intriguing. Service is good and the restaurant is quite spacious. It is usuaully quite busy on weekends, but you can only reserve if you have 6 or more people. There is free parking available as well. I definitely recommend this place to anyone craving a hot bowl of noodles in Coquitlam :)

Do you like noodles? Or a DIY mini hotpot (but not)? You like variety with those noodles? Then you should check out Xiang Yuan Qiao (aka Yunnan Bridge Noodle). Firstly, yes. They have a stall in Crystal Mall and I wasn't too impressed. But even before they opened there was a bit of a line up. To me that just means that they're doing something that right. Researching, I found this newly opened Xiang Yuan Qiao across the street from Henderson Mall. The pictures drew me in. The restaurant itself is pretty big with over 25 tables/booths. NOTE::: Get there early for the parking and for a table, otherwise you'll be waiting for a bit. I ordered the Beef Cross Bridge Rice Noodle ($13.75) because it came with over 12 mini side dishes. Plus they have a DIY sauce making station, with all those traditional/experimental flavours that you can mix on your own. If you like sharing then go for the multi person pot! Its good if your interested in sharing! If you're feeling more in a rice mood then they have something for you too. Now the Cross Bridge Rice Noodles comes with your protein and 12+ small dishes of vegetables and meats. When the servers drop of the boiling hot broth and noodles, there is a instructional paper on the tray if you need help on the order of which needs to go in first. Very helpful for noobs and first timers. **The meat paste is what they're calling the ground cooked meat** Enjoy the experience. Make and experiment new flavours with the sauce bar and enjoy! Don't burn yourself by touching the boiling pot. There are warnings, but some people just don't read. Don't be that person!

What a perfect meal for the chilly seasons! Xiang Yuan Qiao offers comforting, hot, and delicious noodle soups in big portions. Coming in, you'll see everyone slurping noodles from big black cast iron bowls. The menu has Taiwanese appies like spicy cucumbers and seaweed but the main dish are their soupy noodles. There is a very instagram version where they present different ingredients in small bowls then your job is to put them into the hot noodle soup and let it cook. I feel like you're supposed to let some items cook first before others but I often see people just throw everything into the pot and call it a day. Regardless, I prefer the pre-made bowls (generally $4 cheaper) because they still have similar items. The noodle bowls come with your choice of protein, chicken soup, noodles and topped with veggies, black fungus, enoki mushrooms, bean sprouts, bean curd, and quail egg. The soup is piping hot and stays hot pretty much throughout the entire meal due to the iron pot, which is great for people who take time to eat (like me!). Before you eat, you have a chance to pick up some extra toppings from a table near the door like fresh garlic, cilantro, soy sauce, chili oil and a few more. I definitely recommend the fresh garlic! Overall, such a delicious medley of flavours and warmth! A decent amount of seating to accommodate small and large groups too. Also, free parking and they take credit cards!

Four stars for the flavour of the broth. Rest of the dine in experience is a mixed bag. Lost in Translation? Remember the Bill Murray / Scarlet Johansen film? Thrown in the deep end? Nothing we couldn't handle, however the hospo was nil. We don't read Chinese script, the English translations are cryptic to say the least. We cooked our own ingredients in the bubbling foaming hot bowl which arrived after the solid ingredients: thin sliced lamb, mushroom fungus, veggies etc. / condiments were placed on the table. UNexpected, not an insurmountable issue. Lincoln centre mall location, As observed by previous review, is a tad difficult using Google navigation. parking too, slightly cryptic.... ..however once FOUND.... on 2nd level... facing across the road to Henderson Mall... The noodle house is large and popular with locals who enjoy a rice noodle soup. The Lincoln Centre Mall is mostly service and professional businesses, not retail or dining. Quiet, not a lot of foot traffic. Quirky to find, not Impossible. Nil rapore with serving staff. We don't speak Mandarin. Their English and Cantonese appears minimal, but pointing at menu did the trick. As stated we were surprised it was a self - cook exercise. Quite enjoyed that. Complimentary tea. One refill. No chitchat. Decor is fairly clean and comfortable. We'd like to return with a Mandarin speaker and try more menu items.

Seeing a couple more crossing bridge rice noodles pop up, and one being so close to home, we had to go try! Quite busy for lunch, we were excited to get the crossing bridge noodles because of how pretty it looked with the little dishes! They also have a condiments station, with vinegar, chili oil, cilantro, and minced garlic. It was fun putting in the ingredients into the bubbling hot soup, however the broth itself was super salty, making the experience much less enjoyable. Food was all very fresh and good quality though! Would love to go try other crossing bridge noodles places, hoping they're not all salty as the dead Sea!

Small place attached to Parker Place. Got recommended to me by a friend who was a fan. Had the Lamb Crossbridge Noodles. Not the best broth I've had but you do get a lot of stuff as well as noodles to spice it up a bit. Service was fast, portions were big, and prices were great. You feel very satisfied after eating here. I'd go back if I'm in the area and feel like a warm and hearty noodle dish.

Delicious noodle soup, great broth. Good size bowls. We were a little confused at the menu because some dishes looked like you had to cook your own ingredients. Thankful that the ones we ordered were ready to eat. Typical Asian service; starts speaking Mandarin to you until you look clueless. Funny signage on the door regarding hours and rules. Difficult finding how to get here; drove through parking area around the back (drove through 'do not enter' sign) to park in diagonal parking area around the front.

Great to see a noodle chain newly located in Coquitlam. It is conveniently located across from Coquitlam Center (about a 4 min walk away) with parking available at the lot in the front of the restaurant. I came here around 6pm on a Thursday night and this place got busy very quickly after. By 7pm the restaurant was full and people were waiting for a table. There was a good list of selections of rice noodles to choose from with a few rice selections and they have a list of bubble tea drinks as well. I tried the tomato flavoured rice noodle soup with beef brisket, which was under $13. It came in a huge clay pot filled with lots of rice noodles meat and veggie. The flavor could have been a little bit stronger for my taste buds or it could be the soup base. Will definitely have to try their other rice noodles next time.

Now that the temperature is starting to drop, it's a good time to go for hot noodles. This restaurant specializes in noodle soup and soups come in a special bowl that keeps the contents hot. I got the beef ribs soup and it was very flavorful. Beef ribs could be more tender though. They have a side table where you can get some condiments like sesame oil, soy sauce, green onions, etc for you to make your own dipping sauce. Place is spacious enough but not enough tables. Service is efficient if not a little bit abrupt. Definitely a welcome addition to the neighborhood.

First time here and had hot pot for lunch. The restaurant is not that busy, the place was very clean, spacious and very nice furnitures. Free wifi. Staff are attentive and friendly. They always asked to refill your tea. I ordered Beef Brisket Pot Rice Noodle with Wonton and it was great. Was served boiling hot which is perfect for cold winter weather. I love the food tastes as it was flavorful, tender meat and very tasty soup. I will definitely recommend this to try.
