It turned out that the pork had no sauce at all and the taste was minimal. It did not resemble the picture as shown online. The Braised Beef was a lie (they gave us slices of beef shank instead of chunks of beef). It was not braised; it was cold. You can check the photos on Uber Eats and Fantuan for the correct version. We were shocked by their misconduct. Traditional dishes should not be altered and the cashier should not have asked us for modifications. How would you feel if the server asked you if you wanted bacon for Carbonara?

The menu designed for those with 20/20 vision or better unless you are standing directly under the menu. Which could be a psychological trick to get you to unconsciously to commit when you are indecisive about what to consume at the foodcourt. Ha! It worked. Was a toss between good old trusty or something new notably a joint with a menu with tiny texts. Joking aside, had the combo 2. Pulled beef sandwich with pork bones, er "dragon bones", and vegetable soup. This is a northern cuisine from China that is not common in GVRD. The taste is muted except for the starnasis and the ingredients. Umami flavour and wholesome tasting. Fair value. Recommend it.

Chinese DIY Hot pot battling it out in an area dominated by Korean restaurants…read more Small plaza parking available - watch out though as some of the spots are limited to 30 minutes / pretty transit friendly as location is a short walk from Lougheed. Place was very clean and color scheme was a lot like "Fish with You" (fish pot restaurant at crystal mall ). Service was very quick - got a table on a weekend afternoon instantly. They do have a minimal order weight of 1LB/19.99 / so this might be the reason why some stated this place is expensive, and it could be if you're a small eater seeking the $10-15 pots. In terms of selection - I don't think they have that large of a selection compared to say Big Way - I felt like there was less of everything. The Fried Egg here was a disaster and don't recommend / it was very dry. Broth selection was mid , tried the #1 spicy broth , apparently most popular among customers - the medium level spicy was alright - you can taste the gentle numbing of the peppercorns, however it still lacked intensity , maybe I should got max heat. They were having a happy hour - so the drink was on the house, no option of type of drink. It tasted pretty good. Did not get the ice cream at the end, believe they had basic Vanilla.

DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE, THE OWNER IS ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTINGAND VERY RUDE…read more During the pandemic, through encouragement of our local community, two times a week, we support immediately local to walnut grove, non chain businesses for dinner EMW used to be a regular for our household. our kids love their bubble teas and their noodles. If you look on our Uber eats app, they are probably the most ordered on our three accounts. Before we have had issues with inconsistency but never anything to really prevent us from ordering again. Until today. It wasn't even the inconsistency and lack of blatant concern for the special instructions. IT WAS THE OWNERS DISGUSTING BEHAVIOUR that made me leave this review and will PERMANENTLY remove EMW from my rotation. I ordered my usual today. 3 satee meals - one extra spicy and one chow mein regular. Now as I said before we order ALLLLLL the time so we are very aware of their menu and how their food should taste... might I also add we are from the caribbean, so we arent afraid of spicy food. I shared my kids dinner as I normally would, and my one year old started screaming and hollering gasping for air crying HOT hot hot.. I grabbed her and my husband checked the box and said no this is hers. Well they didnt make ONE spicy ... they made ALL THREE extra spicy.. and asian spice is of a different level of heat. even now shes still drinking water and crying, 30 mins after. I simply called them saying there was an error on the order and i was wondering how i could switch out the food, expecting that i would just drive and swap them out. The lady on the phone did not really understand what i was saying so she put a gentleman on the phone who introduces himself as the cook and starts to immediately go off and insist that he did nothing wrong. I said to him we eat there all the time .. the regular satee stylie is fine for us.. my husband is the one who eats the extra spicy without blinking an eye. he continues to say he did nothing wrong and i said to him this is ridiculous i have nothing to feed my kids now, i cant even eat it. THIS MAN LAUGHED AFTER ME and continued to say that he did nothing wrong and when i tried to answer he hung up the phone one me. I called back He answered the phone i told him he was very rude to hang up the phone and that i need to speak to the manager. He said he was the owner and cook, and that hes not speaking to me further. I told him id be making a formal complaint to UBER eats about this becuase now i have to spend more money to get my kids dinner. He simply couldve swapped the food out. I am pretty sure he cooked all the satee styles together, or did not switch pots in between ( they were the exact same order just one with a different level of spice) THERE ARE OTHER LOCAL RESTAURANTS MORE WORTHY OF YOUR DOLLAR. IN A UNPRECEDENTED TIME LIKE THIS PLEASE SUPPORT THOSE WHO CARE, HAVE MANNERS AND ACTUALLY APPRECIATE THE PEOPLE WHO ARE HELPING TO KEEP THEIR DOORS OPEN. I WILL ABSOLUTELY NEVER SPEND ANOTHER DOLLAR HERE IN MY LIFE. i DO NOT DESERVE TO BE YELLED AT AND MOCKED OVER AN ERROR ON A ORDER. THE OWNER IS ABSOLUTELY UNDESERVING OF THE KINDNESS OF THIS COMMUNITY!

We think this is where Koreans eat when they're not cooking at home!…read more We discovered Hansol 한솔 Korean Restaurant after seeing so many rave reviews. This place, tucked away just 5 minutes' driving distance from Coquitlam Centre, is clearly beloved by the local Korean community. The portion sizes are generous. They are perfect for sharing with family or friends. We saw many families and younger groups dining in, which gave it a cozy, homey vibe. We can taste the love and comfort in every bite. Here's what we ordered: * Beef Tartare Bibimbap - Not your typical bibimbap! The raw beef was beautifully seasoned and full of flavour. This was hands down our favourite dish! * Naengmyeon - Cold noodles in a super refreshing broth. Perfectly chewy with a balanced, savoury tang. A must-have on a hot day. * Japchae - Excellent portion, great price. The noodles were springy and not greasy at all--just the right balance of flavour. Great value, quality ingredients, and authentic flavours--Hansol is definitely going on our go-to list whenever we're craving comforting Korean food. We are highly recommend it for students, families, or anyone who loves real Korean cooking! Food: 5/5 Must Try! Service: 5/5 Kids: 4/5 Yay! Price: $30-$40 each person (dinner) Presentation: 3/5 Parking: 4/5 Tips: * Free refillable banchan (side dishes) * Must-try: naengmyeon (cold noodles) * Hidden gem: beef tartare bibimbap-flavourful and beautifully presented. * Limited seating - expect wait during peak hours * Tasty, affordable, and generous portions Would I Return: Yes ‍

I found this restaurant through an IG foodie's recommendation. This restaurant is always very busy,…read moreand on weekends, there is always a lineup. We ordered short rib BBQ, Beef tartare Bibimbap, and original-flavor deep-fried chicken wings. Beef tartare Bibimbap was served in a hot stone bowl with a variety of vegetables on top of the rice. The gochujang sauce was served separately, allowing us to adjust the spiciness to our preference. It was a pretty good dish. The short rib BBQ was very tender and nicely seasoned. It was slightly on the sweeter side, very delicious. I will definitely order it again. The original flavor deep-fried chicken wings were served fresh and hot. They were incredibly crunchy on the outside and juicy on the inside--very good! Next time, I should order them with a flavored seasoning, as I already knew the original version was cooked with less saltiness, meant to be paired with a sauce. Overall, I really like this restaurant. The food tasted good, and the most notable point was the reasonable price! It was a very good deal, and it has now become one of my regular go-to places.
