My friend ordered the roast lamb $28.95. She said it was one of the best ones she has ever had. The pita comes on a separate plate. I always love the thicker puffy pita bread that they served there. Yes, the prices have gone up (honestly, everywhere has). But compared to other Greek restaurants, the portion size and quick service makes up for it. A friend invited me for dinner here not long ago, as it is one of his favourite restaurants. When I walked in, it was super busy with a lineup of people waiting for a table. My friend had arrived a bit earlier to get a table for us, so I quickly joined him. He had the chicken souvlaki and I ordered the roast lamb. Both portions were quite large, with mine being enough for another meal the following day. My friend had a bigger appetite and was (surprisingly) able to finish his meal. Service was attentive despite being so busy, and our water glasses were regularly topped up. The ambiance was very family oriented and fairly noisy but not overwhelmingly loud. This spot is a bit out of the way for me, but I'll most likely return to meet my friend again since it's his favourite spot. I really want to try the souvlaki next time. read more

we were celebrating a milestone birthday and had to reschedule more than once before finally locking in a 6:00 pm reservation on a thursday. parking was easy with spots in the back, but once we stepped inside, the place was packed and loud. like, yell across the table loud. it was also uncomfortably warm, but the staff let us know we could be seated right away, or wait ten minutes for a better table. props to the servers, they were absolutely killing it. they even offered my mom a chair while we waited for the party to clear out, which we really appreciated. we ended up waiting 17 minutes, but it was worth it. we were seated by the back window where it was noticeably cooler. by that point, all five of us had our orders ready to go. we started with drinks and an order of calamari to share, lightly breaded, served with raw onions, tsatziki, and a wedge of lemon. simple, crispy, and gone in minutes. four of us went with the roast lamb, and i had the chicken souvlaki with hummus. food came out fairly quickly, about ten minutes between courses and the portions lived up to the hype. the chicken was juicy and flavourful, the salad was fresh (no dressing, just feta, which i liked), and the rice and lemon potato were both satisfying. the warm buttered pita went well with the garlicky hummus. this spot is open tuesday to saturday and only from 4:00 to 8:30 pm, and there's no answering machine to leave a message. resos must be called during their operating hours or take your chances, or do take out. it's clear why it's so busy, the portions are generous, and the food hits the mark. we all left with leftovers for lunch the next day. this was my nephew's pick for his birthday dinner, and we were more than happy to make it happen. read more

Went here for a family dinner. All of the portions were very large. Most of us packed our food home. My sister in law's mousaka looked and tasted pretty good. I got the lamb chops which I thought needed to be seasoned a bit more but still tasted good as it was cooked to a medium, just the way I requested. The rice was on the salty side. The servers were efficient and we appreciated that they filled our waters without asking, despite it being packed the entire time we were there. Good thing I made a reservation cuz wow it was so full on a weekday night. They try to squeeze as many tables in there and my seat bumps into the person behind me. Parking is limited to a few in front and a few on the sides. We quickly got seated and ordered our meals. Everything was enormous. The mostly I've seen at any greek restaurant. Definitely worth the price. Calamari was standard. I would have liked it with some seasoning. The lamb chops were fantastic! I asked for medium rare and it was perfect and tender. There were 6 pieces! The roast lamb was just ok. My husband likes the Stephos version better. It was a big chunk of meat though. The roast lamb maintained it's juicy flavor and tenderness throughout the meal and the lamb souvlaki had a great char flavor, the potatoes that accompanied those dishes had a great lemon flavor. The service was good (received multiple water refills throughout meal with server asking how we were doing). Portions were huge (neither my partner or I could finish). I love lamb and am very picky with it and they got it right. The potatoes were also very delicious as was the rice. We started with the appetizer platter, which was a nice start to the mains. The roast lamb is very generously plated, so if you're not too hungry it's plenty for two people. We stopped by without reservations at 0745 pm and were seated right away over the weekend. Menus were dropped off, but we knew what we wanted to order right away. We ordered calamari, moussaka, chicken souvlaki, side of hummus and ek mek. We received the calamari order after a short wait. I am not sure if they just make this in advance in batches, but I was very impressed at how fast the food arrived. Calamari was lightly battered and tender. There was a generous amount of tzatziki sauce for dipping. We had order the hummus for the pita bread. Hummus was creamy, garlicky and tangy. Our entrees arrived shortly after the calamari. I really enjoyed the moussaka. It was one of the better tasting versions I have eaten recently - eggplant, potatoes, ground meat and a good layer of creamy béchamel sauce. I wish the portion size was a bit bigger as it was that good. Rice, potato and greek salad tasted as expected. The greek salad had a generous heaping of feta cheese. Lastly, we shared a portion of ek mek for dessert. It was a light custard and whipped cream dessert to finish off the meal. I was impressed at the speed of service and the quality of the food. There were staff to periodically refill water and take away dirty plates. We had leftovers to pack a light lunch for the next day. Also, the restaurant did not charge for the take out container which I think should be standard business practice these days. If you are craving Greek food, I recommend giving this restaurant a try. Decent but slightly pricy Greek place near Ikea. Parking is available on the street and around the corner. The inside looks similar to many other Greek places in town. White stucco interior and scenes of Santorini. The artwork is quite funky though. Staff were friendly and helpful. Food is definitely a few bucks more than the competition. Instead of $14-18 like what I'm normally used to, this place is more like $18-25. A bit more than I'd like to pay, but it is what it is. Food quality is also decent but nothing stuck out. The $18 souvlaki specials are the best deal. Served with a nice generous skewer, rice, salad, tzatziki, and half a potato. Third time here and the food never disappoints. We came here on a Friday night and had to wait 45 mins to be seated but it was worth every minute. Their takeout window also had a continuous lineup which is nice to see during Covid. We had the calamari as a starter and it was cooked to perfection and is a generous serving for the $13 or so they charge. For drinks, I ordered a paralyzer and my boyfriend had a pina colada which is different for us as we usually order beer. All cocktails were super delicious- the pina coladas were very creamy and actually quite strong for only being 1oz which we thought was a good thing. For mains, I ordered the chicken and beef souvlaki dinner and my boyfriend had the lamb. These were both served with rice, Greek salad, tzatziki and pita bread. Every single item was seasoned and cooked perfectly. We will definitely continue to come here whenever we want our Greek food fix! Decided to stop by here for lunch today around 1pm. The place was surprisingly busy but we were able to get seated right away. The only downside to this place is that it's very slow, as they only had 2 hosts/servers looking after the entire restaurant. The visit to this restaurant took over an hour so it's not the greatest if you're in a rush/looking for a quick bite. We ordered the roast lamb lunch ($14.95), dolmades and homous. The roast lamb had a large amount of soft, fall apart lamb with one potato, rice and a small tzatziki. This entire dish was so flavorful. The dolmades were just okay. They lacked a bit of flavour even when you poured the lemon sauce on them. They were also a bit dry and weren't my favorite. The homous was definitely homemade and lemony; it was very good! We shared all of these dishes between 2 people and still left the restaurant with leftovers. I can't wait to return to try more items off of their menu! read more

I absolutely love this establishment beyond anything else. As a kid, my family home was up the hill (on Nelson St) and within a short walking distance of this restaurant. My dad used to take us here back in the days when they were still called Mr. Greek. Honestly, My Greek has ruined me for every other Greek restaurant. I recently tried out another Greek place and was so disappointed because I'm so used to My Greek's prices and portions. Their roast lamb is my absolute favorite and the portion is massive! I have a bit appetite, but even I can't finish all the lamb. They are definitely not stingy with their portions! There's a reason why the place is always so busy. I ordered takeout and they have a really efficient system where there's a separate takeout window beside the entrance. The food, as usual, was delicious and satisfying. My one suggestion is that you buy a separate container of tzatziki to have on hand (especially if you're like me and have to drench everything in tzatziki).
