Kate charges $280 to move up 10 tape-in pieces, and $70 for a simple trim. The final straw was when I had a family emergency and was unable to make my appointment. This was first time that happened, and I am very on top of my schedule and responsibilities, and respectful of other people's time. Kate insisted I pay her $175 before rescheduling with her. So, I did that... and when I went to book an appointment online, I found her schedule was completely open for the rest of the week. WOW. I felt disappointed and shocked in her lack of human decency, and my feelings were genuinely hurt. I am a good client: I show up on time and I have tipped Kate extremely generously on top of her pricy service charges. Is it wrong of me to think I deserved a free pass in light of the circumstances? Kate is very knowledgeable about all that she does and stays up to date on all the latest techniques. One thing I noticed when I first went to her, and appreciate still, is that she is very detailed and really listens to what you want. She got to know my hair type and the type of highlights I like very quickly and it's been smooth sailing ever since.
