Fantastic breakfast spot in la cholla, just outside of rocky point. They are open for breakfast and lunch. The AC is cool inside and you have the option of the terrace on the rooftop Service is super friendly, with the staff being quick to joke with you, especially if you are a regular. You can't go wrong with the huevos Mexicanos or the huevos rancheros. The Spanish rice is flavorful along with the refried beans. read more

Delicious and wonderful little spot that's been around for mor than 20 years. We tried it for the first time early this week and went back again today. Our favorites-- chilaquiles, chorizo omelette, and the cinnamon roll (fresh baked!). Rooftop, patio, and indoor seating, AC inside, lovely people... closed Tuesday and Wednesday and open 7-3 only. Xóchitl is a good Mexican restaurant, catering to American tastes. Their specialty is the Chile Relleno, which of course, I tried. It was larger than the average relleno and very good, served with excellent rice and beans. We had our breakfast on their nicely shaded rooftop with a view of Cholla Bay. Our server was excellent, timely with our food. Xóchitl is a little off the beaten path unless you live or are staying in "La Choya". The Sandy Beach resorts are the nearest Peñasco district to the restaurant, about a 5-minute ride on a graded, dirt road. Xóchitl is a good restaurant to have in your back pocket in case you want to go out that way for breakfast or lunch. read more

Super good. The drive in was fun. Stumbled on this place, it just looked good and it was! Cinnamon rolls are bomb, tortilla soup was great! Hot wings were legit. I wanted one of everything, but as mentioned in most posts, cash only, and we didn't have all the cash to order one of everything, but they all looked good. Finding a breakfast spot in Cholla Bay was the goal......We saw this spot on Yelp and decided based upon solid reviews to give it a whirl. We had our puppy so we needed an outdoor spot. .... We arrived and the proprietor invited us to keep the puppy with us inside. It is warm this morning so that was a nice gesture. They brought the boy some water and enjoyed a cool little atmosphere for the next hour. Machaca and Eggs for my wife, Chiles Rellano for me. They were both great. The sides for flavors were what really tipped the scales. The pico was super fresh and flavorful and the tomatillo salsa was nails. Likely headed back tomorrow morning again! read more

Yep found another great breakfast joint in Rocky Point. Located in Cholla Bay, Xochitls is not to be missed. You can taste the love in all of their homemade goodness! We are gluttons so we ordered a bowl of tortilla soup... omg amazing, the red Chiliquilles (sp?) with an over medium egg and the chili relleno, my favorite. I have a feeling anything you order here will blow your hair back!! Next time your in rocky point make sure you stop here. This corner, corner, bright spot located in La Cholla is the best place for breakfast. We had coffee, huevos rancheros, & chilaquiles verdes. The tortillas de harina (flour tortillas) would melt in my mouth. The beans were delicious. Now, this is comfort food! read more
