    12Mar2013 We…read morerecently purchased a Ford Expedition from Mike's Auto Sales in Castroville, with the excellent help of Victor Landa, a sales manager there, and felt VERY satisfied with both the service and the product. The group there works very much as a team, all helpful and well organized (Amir was particularly adept with the paperwork and payment arrangements). Victor was the complete gentleman regarding our terms and cost limitations, worked with our preferences and took pains to ensure the details of the agreement were fair and complete (things like a needed change of tires, mechanic's check of an "on" engine light and tire pressure light). We walked away from the deal feeling as if Mr. Landa had become more than Mike's sales rep, but also our advocate for the best deal we could work out with the owner, Mike. What is more, we had an odd "check engine light" issue that reoccurred days afterward (as in, past the contract date), and both Mike and Victor were willing to work with us to ensure that the problem was solved. Mike's Auto Sales is the kind of organization you hope for in an auto sales agency but never find. Socially responsible, trustworthy, customer-oriented, and not merely in it for the fast buck -- only the leave the customer to fend for themselves. They think in terms of the long-term relationship with their customers -- all you could hope for in an auto sales company. Ranks up there with the rest of the top-notch, top-performing and socially responsible companies (places like Starbucks come to mind). I highly recommend Mike's Auto Sales to anyone looking for a good quality pre-owned vehicle. Drive over here from the San Joaquin Valley if you have to; it will be worth it. I have recommended Mike's Auto Sales to at least one person at work already, and will continue to do so in the future. Throughout it all, I appreciated that Jeremy was knowledgeable, no-bs, patient, and responsive. I never had to communicate with the dealer at all, until I showed up at the dealership for my test drive, where the salesman had all the paperwork ready to go. From test drive arrival to leaving the dealer with my new car, it only took 2 hours, which feels pretty efficient. I don't really understand how Jeremy gets paid because he didn't charge me for anything, but I'm so glad I found him.

Both experiences were delightful, stress free (who would associate stress-free when you buy a car?) and quick. No hassle car buying - that should be his business's title. He helped us narrow down the list of cars we were looking at and make a decision that worked for us. He also scheduled all the test drives, negotiated the prices, and pointed us to a specific person at the dealership, a complete VIP experience. He did the same for our friends just this week, they bought a great car in a great condition, he negotiated the price down and steered them away from less desirable options. My friend was nervous (just like I was before ) because the process of buying a car is stressful. But after they got into the dealership and the car was waiting for them, they test drove and bought the car. My friend said: who would have thought that I can enjoy buying a car!     I am sharing my experience to help other consumers make an informed decision…read more Please be aware that Todos Califican Dealership is owned by the same owner as Trucks Discount Center on 11600 Merritt Street Castroville, CA. On June 1, 2026, I purchased a 2017 Kia from this dealership for $5,000. I was assured that there was nothing wrong with the vehicle and that it was in good condition. Unfortunately, my experience after the sale was completely different. When I went to register the vehicle, I learned that the dealership had not provided the required California smog certificate. I then took the vehicle to two separate smog inspection stations, both of which were unable to certify it because of diagnostic issues. After taking the vehicle to a mechanic, I was informed that the check engine light sensor had been removed or was missing, preventing the warning light from functioning properly. I was also told the vehicle required costly repairs before it could pass smog and be legally registered. As a result, I purchased a vehicle that I have been unable to register and cannot legally drive without investing significant additional money. Looking back, there were several warning signs. Despite multiple requests, the dealership repeatedly refused to provide me with a bill of sale. I did not receive it until approximately two weeks later, and only because the DMV required it to process the registration. Once these problems were discovered, I repeatedly attempted to contact the dealership to resolve the matter. My calls eventually went unanswered. I also sent certified mail, but it was refused and never accepted. The vehicle was sold to us by a man named Hugo. However, after the sale, Hugo and the dealership's secretary claimed that Hugo was "just the car cleaner" and said he could not have sold us the vehicle. That statement directly contradicts my experience, as Hugo was the individual who handled the sale and transaction with us. My goal in writing this review is simply to share my experience. I encourage anyone considering purchasing a vehicle from this dealership or its affiliated business, Trucks Discount Center in Castroville, to carefully inspect any vehicle, obtain a valid smog certificate before purchasing, verify that all required paperwork is provided at the time of sale, and have the vehicle independently inspected before signing any documents. I hope no other customer has to go through the same experience.

I searched online for the "build" I desired and the closest match was a vehicle going to Santa Cruz Toyota (I really wanted those cargo lamps, panoramic roof, weather package, premium auto and HUD. Bob Weiser (sales) was awesome and Nathan Cadillacs in finance was amazing. The vehicle was delayed a they kept me informed along the way. True professionals. And very courteous. They added the accessories requested and Nathan was very patient in explaining the different offerings - pre-paid service, extended warranties (and its several options), 5 essentials (dents, tire, windshield, etc), and the ceramic coating. I was hesitant about the coating - but the car looks absolutely amazing and it's super smooth (like when you take a clay bar to detail the car), I look forward to the sparkle of a durable "wax" all the time. And Nathan got an amazing APR on a loan. Thank you Santa Cruz Toyota for an amazing car buying experience!

Rich Brabo is my sales guy, I'm a returning customer and if that doesn't tell you a lot about the care at Santa Cruz Toyota, I won't be able to convince you. Rich is very personable and quite frankly a little fun. Answer all my questions knows all the ins and outs of any vehicle that I want to ask questions about and I'll be back for the third time.

I made an appointment to…read moredrop off my 2015 Volt for service to resolve a charging system problem on 8/21 and there was no there at the Chev service desk. A young man directed me to go to the Dodge service desk to drop the key which I did, but the person there couldn't access the service records confirming my appointment so I had to fill out some form even though I had already confirmed the appointment online. The next day I called to check on my car and they had no idea where the car was, they couldn't confirm whether it had been dropped off, nor when I would get further information. Later in the day someone did call and tell me it would take two weeks to order parts which I approved over the phone. One week went by and I tried to call to confirm whether the parts had been ordered and what the status was. There was no one to take my call, service manager was unavailable, so I left a message. Repeat the above virtually every day for the next two weeks. I tried escalating and getting to a higher manager but he was also not available so I left a message on his vmail, still not replay. I also tried stopping by the dealer last Saturday to see if I could talk to someone directly and was told that no one was available on Saturdays that could help me. It is now Sept 7th and it has been 2 1/2 weeks since I dropped my car off at the dealership and I have zero idea on what the status of my car is. It is without a doubt the most bizarre situation I've ever encountered in terms of incredibly poor customer service. Given the car is ten years old I have been considering a possible purchase of a new car in the next year or so, and while under normal circumstances I would consider buying another Chev given my experience with the new Seaside Chev it is hard to even consider purchasing a car from them. Completely frustrated.
