To start off on the positive note, I will say this place is good for young people struggling and working hard- this place has made it easier to afford and buy a car considering no credit check, financing, and decent down payment. In 2020 I purchased a 2013 Mini Cooper Countryman, and it looked like it was in excellent shape. Low miles (around 30,000) at the time. Purchased for $11,000 ($14,000 with taxes) and I gave $4,000 downpayment. I let the shop keep the car for an additional week because I was promised new tires as the ones on them were old. I come to pick up the car and and the tires were never put in- then I was given the run around and was told to take it to this shop all the way in Salinas, and when trying to get in contact with that shop they had no idea what I was talking about. Now here is the beginning of the problems. The control button to adjust the mirrors were broken and they never got back to me about helping me with this issue. After a month the one and only car key remote died and waited two weeks and charged $400 just for a replacement key. After two months the car battery died and it was a struggle to get it towed. Had to get the car battery replaced. There is only one shop in Monterey that takes care of BMW's, Mini Coopers, and German Cars, of course it is pricey for any maintenance. My car was rattling, I was informed by the repair shop that my spark plugs were replaced with the wrong spark plugs for my car- I was told at the car dealership when I bought the car that they put in new spark plugs- guess the cheapened out and put in off brand spark plugs that didn't belong in my car, which could have caused damage. Another month goes by and my timing chain broke- it was another repair out of my pocket. And finally- at only 76,000 miles I have driven the car- I my catalytic converter was going to blow out, the shop said it was going to cost $4,000 for repair. It was ridiculous and didn't know how this car passed a CarFax check because it has so many problems. At this point the repairs were going to cost more than the car itself- sold it to CarMax, paid off the car and brought a brand-new car from Kia right after. I was not going to pay $4,000 for a car with so many problems. I will say the car salesman and his team is very kind and friendly. If you are buying a car from here, I recommend buying a more reliable car (Honda, Toyota), get a professional check on the car before you buy it and make sure everything is running okay, and make sure you are getting what you asked for, so you won't have all these hidden surprises. Everything will seem fine on the lot, but if you leave with a car, you could have more problems than you expected. Do research, ask car Maintenace to do a check on the car, spend money wisely. I only got a year's use out of the car. read more

First of all, I am a car nerd. Second I am an engineer. Double whammy, I guess;-0). I just bought a car at Drive It, just off Del Monte, on Reservation Road in Marina. Best used car experience I think I have ever had!! The car is amazing, but the very personal interaction was unique. I have never experienced this level of, dare I say 'comfort' with a 'dealer' - so who exactly is comfortable in a used car dealers lot? These people are. The whole interaction, end-to-end was great, no pressure whatsoever. I had the car twice over two days to check it out thoroughly, for two hours each time. Gus & Sue were very gracious about allowing me more time when I asked for it. The price was very fair for the vehicle BUT the attention from them was FAR better than expected... I will certainly return as soon as I am in the market for another vehicle..... I can highly recommend these guys... they are a small business & are extremely willing to accommodate "out-of-the-box" requests... read more

They were amazing. Gus, Glenn, Sue and Jocelyn did everything they could and helped us better than any past car buying experience. I crashed my car on Saturday. Came to look at a car on Monday, and came back with the wife and drove away with the car on Tuesday. They got us a way better interest rate than we had on the other vehicles and even got us on track to refinance another vehicle we are paying for. And even helped us find better insurance coverage than what we were paying for. They can get you any car you want even if its not on the lot. Plus, I know some people who came in and got a great car with little to no credit at all.
