One thing I really appreciate about Carbon Health is that you can make appointments. We didn't have one, but we still didn't have to wait long at all. Anyone who has been to urgent care knows those visits can easily turn into a several-hour wait, so this was a pleasant surprise. This was our first visit, and I was impressed with how thorough everyone was. The medical assistant asked all the necessary health questions, which I especially appreciated because my daughter has a unique medical history. The doctor then came in, explained everything clearly, and my daughter was able to get her chest X-ray right away. Overall, I have no complaints. I've had strep before and received much less efficient and helpful care at other places, so it was refreshing. This urgent care has a spacious and clean lobby, and they were blasting the A/C on this 95° day, so that was nice. Check-in was simple and while they did accept my Blue Cross Blue Shield insurance, I still had to pay $100 out-of-pocket, but that's just my stupid insurance for you. All of the typical measurements and tests were quick, and the strep swab was the least unpleasant I've ever dealt with. The provider came in with the results five minutes later and was so friendly; she showed real concern for how bad my case was. I like having the option of excellent urgent care and try to avoid spending needless hours in the ER. My respiratory and diabetic conditions have required approximately 9 or 10 visits. The front desk personnel are 100% on point; efficient friendly and caring while handling business. Also, they answer the phone quickly, which is unheard of in 2026. With the exception of 2 visits my wait times have been very short and every single provider has been excellent. The providers are very thorough, but please be advised, they can only address the highest priority health concern that you have at the time. Based on today's interaction 10 or 20 stars. We figured get him seen then will go to a Memorial Urgent Care for me since I normally go to Long Beach Memorial Urgent Cares. Well to my surprise the lovely receptionist seen I was sick too she when out her way to see if I could be seen with my insurance and thankfully I was able too get medical help to! From the moment we arrived the lovely reception at the front desk was warm and welcoming and friendly. I can't remember her name but it should be on mine and my husband Kenneth's intake. Sherri was helpful and knowledgeable and had outstanding customer service and went out her to help me personally. Sherri should be applauded for outstanding service and the rest of the staff was excellent. The waiting room looked like a typical waiting room area. Once called in and taken thru the doors...this place was amazing. It looked like an emergency room at any major hospital. All the rooms had beds. They have X-rays, CT scans and MRI machines. I saw NP Courtney Rompel. She was as thorough, skilled and experienced as any Internist I have seen. She was very proactive and was able to address all my medical needs. You are a rock star NP Rompel! I was so appreciative for her concern, care and bedside manner. She even noticed I had some wax build-up in my ear. I can't remember the last time my ENT looked in my ear. My ear was subsequently flushed by the great technician on duty assisting NP Rompel. Side Bar: A few days later I was having an issue with some antibiotics I got at CVS (on the same property). The medication was cracked and disintegrating. CVS refused to exchange the medication without a new prescription. I wish I was kidding but I am not. So back I go to the urgent care and they immediately contacted CVS for replacement medication, without hesitation. I was so grateful for for the treatment I received by NP Rompel, the responsiveness for the medication re-do request, and just in totality an overall fabulous experience. I am on the mend thanks to all the great staff at Continuem Urgent Care! With gratitude!

I just said, "Ok, I guess that's it". I felt helpless at this point. She then replied with, "okay"! And walked off nonchalantly. I stood there for a few seconds before realizing a nurse or aide was not coming to offer me an after visit summary, and escort me out. I then found my own way out. It made me wonder would she treat a non-minority the same way she treated me. I understand they have their own limitations, but to be treated so nonchalantly with lack of compassion is the upsetting part. Are bedside manners nonexistent now? I understand people have their off days, but this was completely unacceptable. Maybe consider another field if helping people doesn't bring you any sense of fulfillment. On our visit we saw Dr. Quan. Very thorough, patient, and knowledgeable. I took my son who had a rash and he was very cautious/patient with looking in the area. He had me sign a form to acknowledge that he was going to look at his area and had his nurse join. I showed him the area of concern. We will be going here again! Great facility, staff, and doctor.
