We came in worried about hives and they joked about us after putting us in the room. Absolutely abhorrent and unprofessional! Terrible bedside manner! Apparently they care nothing for their bread and butter which is the patients that come into their facility. We should have just tried to stick it out through the night and waited for our actual professional doctor's office! I forgot this place turned into complete trash after they became nextcare. The nurse practitioner came in and made quick work of it which was good, but it didn't seem to be real compassion. Did they do their job yes! Would I ever come back no! This place has gone downhill. The couple before us were absolutely pissed and complained stating they would never come back. We should have left then. Good thing that NP came in right away cause I was pretty perturbed. Anyway, the PA who saw me today, as well as the IMC support staff were all friendly, courteous, and professional. For a flat fee of $125 I received what I'd call thorough and considerate care, along with an Rx for antibiotic ear drops. They also suggested I grab a free GoodRx card which saved me an additional $25 at Sam's off their initial $46 quote. I highly recommend IMC, I was in and out in roughly 30 minutes, and feel I received very qualified care. Thank you!

However they did give me oral steroids that take longer so they should start to work by Tuesday when I get in to see a rheumatologist for my first visit. My point is that I went for some relief so I can get rest & sleep as well. I think the actual doctor was in my room for 3 minutes. I really thought when he said prednisone I was starting out with it in a shot and getting a prescription for the rest but they are all oral. I liked how fast I was in & out but I wished there would have been a bit more relief as I am in a lot of pain & not able to sleep because of the pain It sucks because this is an illness you can't see & I feel it is misunderstood for that reason. My recent efforts on behalf of my gf who is deaf to deal with this institution by phone or otherwise leaves me discussted with the whole outfit. Endless waiting for someone to answer the phone, then to be transferred, dropped, etc. My gf waited over 5 weeks to see a gynocologist after seeing a PA only to be told 5 hours before the scheduled appt that it needed to be rescheduled! She is/was very worried after an abnormal CT scan and ultrasound and had anticipated finally getting to see a Dr. If we could use any physicians outside Via Christi we would do so, it appears, however, that they are quickly becomming a monoply in this city. AVOID VIA CHRISTI IF YOU CAN.
