It was the perfect place to kick off our gay bar bar-hop since it was much more low-key compared to the other spots. The music was so good, the bartender was nice, and the dancer was AMAZINGGGG. We were pretty much the only people there but she was giving us a full show. There was a DJ + a large space to dance, as well as a decent sized outdoor patio. I think it probably gets a little busier as the night goes on, but we still had a lot of fun!

I think it's open only on weekends. I really haven't spent more than a few seconds inside because dance clubs aren't my thing. (anyone who's seen me dance, trust me, is thankful for that). But it does get fairly packed. It's run by the coolest sports bar in town, Majerles, to which it is directly connected by a single door near the back. So, if I'm not mistaken, there are actually 6 different bars/lounges right on this corner of Washington and 2nd Street downtown. EDIT: From the photo I'm looking at above, it doesn't exactly look like a dance club. Maybe I was too inebriated whenever I visited this place to understand what the hell was going on. That's not to say that it doesn't turn into one at some point (I have seen sports bars turn part of their establishment into clubs- Tequila Rain on Lansdowne comes to mind) but the Suns were in town and it was just the back room of Majerle's. If the front bar is packed I would suggest sticking your head around the corner to see if its busy in the back room, there may be more room for you to stand. I say may because they have set up a bunch of tables that are quite close to the bar so you may be lingering over someone while they eat. Its really actually better to watch the game in the front room of Majerles, IMO.

I've been to Crescent Ballroom a bunch of times for various shows over the years. Guess I never…read morereviewed it. I can only speak to it as a bar & music venue, not sure if they have food items. It's a great, small intimate space to see an artist you know well or discover something new. Last time we were there was to see one of our favorites, Black Pistol Fire, this past spring. We love that band and have seen them perform many times, we were happy they played at crescent. They have such great energy during shows and the lead singer always gets into the crowd, last time he went over to the back bar and played guitar on it. Was pretty awesome! This recent time we went to see rapper Intuition from LA. He was opening for Wax & Dj Hoppa. They were new to me, but it was a great hip hop show. Generally the sound is good in the venue and they have a bar up front with some seating. Behind the curtain where the stage is, there's a bar back too. There are also bleachers but I usually don't sit on them, but they are there if needed. Cocktails are like regular bar prices, and good thing, they are quality drinks. I had the whiskey sour and old fashioned. Both were very good with quality spirits. At $16, they should be good and not some afterthought cocktail. They also have beers on tap for like $8.
