I looooved club dwntwn but was so bummmed to see the cover charge go from $10 to $15. Not that I don't have $5 extra but it's just the principle of the thing that this place even charges a cover when other nearby bars (i.e.: champagne lanes & cobra) don't charge at all. The drinks are getting prriiiicceeeyyyyy too. I was paying Cali prices for the same drink I ordered a year ago... I loved the music & miss the vibe, haven't gotten back since the price change. This is directed to the new ownership of this establishment. Me and my friends been coming here since forever. We kept this place going when it hit a rough patch a few years ago and we keep coming to the Salsa side things, which used to be the busiest side then. I always respected the staff, the management, they were and still are very professional. This last Sat 7/29/23, we decided to come in, me and my fellow Salseros to get our dance on, which it was great, but could'nt help to notice that the AC in the bathroom that services the patio and the Salsa room was turned off. It is hot as it is outside. Now with Dancing and the amount of people that is allowed in this place. I think it is dangerous and irresponsable to turn off the the AC in certain places and to turn up the thermostat in the dance floors to save a few bucks or to pay for the place you just bought. If you want to keep the faithful clientele that this place has earned over the years, that has been coming to this place week in and week out, with some weekends off of course. You got to treat your clients with respect and provide a safe and cool space to dance and hang out. Seeing people gasping for air and looking for vents its a sorry sight to look at if I was the owner of this place. You want to be knowed for consistent service, consistent adequate safe conditions that succesful abundant clubs provide all over the world. Think long term, not short term. I hope this helps and serves as feedback to the new onwership team, to provide not only the same affective service that was provided in the past, but a superior one for your current and future customers. I wasn't to happy about being misinformed or misled by information or lack there of. My love Blanca and I had a good time but I wasn't told beforehand I needed the $150 bottle service to keep our table. That's pretty messed up after paying the $50 reservation fee. We did get to skip the line though and all Security staff was great and respectful. My main complaint is the club was WAY TOO PACKED to enjoy dancing or much of anything! The VIP area was nice but while dancing you felt like a sardine or worse! They need to work on how many people they allow in the building at one time. Hot and sweaty is alll that I can remember from this club. It was packed the Saturday night I visited. The bouncer was really really nice and the so were the bartenders. There are several dance floors allll playing different music. Reggaeton, cumbias, salsa, bachata, and musica norteña to name a few. The bathroom is a little sketchy in the back where it's dark and I'd rather go outside then use it. For some reason there were men standing around the women's one for who knows what. This is a Latin club with three rooms, one is for Banda, another is for Salsa, and the main one if for Hip Hop and modern Latin music. I loved that there's also different types of dancing styles in every room so you don't really get bored, just choose a different room. Banda is fast and usually 1 to 2 steps, Salsa is mainly 2 steps, and the modern music is more free style of dancing. I love how large it is, they seem to rent out Palazzo right next door so it's combined with Club Dwntwn. I came on a Saturday night and it was packed, the line to get in was long, and the cover for ladies was $10, and the cover for men was also $10. However, what I found strange was that there was no tap water available at any of the three bars it had. I thought in the state of Arizona establishments must free provide water? This is the first establishment I've encountered that doesn't. But they do have bottled water for purchase. read more

The main large room is the most packed and lively. Basically a crush of bodies all dancing like mad and enjoying their drinks and music. I just went to this Club last night. My friend payed my entrance fee while I was right outside the doors getting security checked but they had me pay again as soon as I walked in. So basically I got scammed out of 15 bucks by their workers. I don't know if the workers are pocketing it or if they're trying to get away with over charging but that's literally insane. It's a cool club! But it's not a club with a particular theme, and seemingly more of a space for whoever wants to rent it out for their event. Its website still markets this place as a Latin club, and from what I'd initially seen it was an incredibly good one. But some time around late last year I'd seen a noticeable drop in activity. There are several weekends I was excited to check it out...only to discover nothing was going on. Their promoters suck. Anyway, the scene here since has been a bit more diverse. I've seen more mainstream top 40 music here. I'm particularly fond of the darkwave/goth nights even if they could use a bit larger of an audience. It's a mixed bag, and finding out what's happening and when takes slightly more effort than it should. Onto the bar itself, there's a cool dance floor, and a corridor leading to another that is soundproof enough to host a completely different playlist. There's "VIP" seating with a third bar and slightly elevated seating, but no one ever sits there and it doesn't appear to be worth it. I don't know what's going on here, but if you're walking by and fortunate enough to see it packed, then just go in. read more

I had a great time and I got a really good workout! I don't speak Spanish and I have never been to a salsa club but my friend invited me and I liked it for a first experience. I like how there are 3 different rooms with three different music styles just a great idea. The seating is limited but that's because sitting is not what you do in a place like this. We've been wanting to go to a club that played Reggaetón for an eternity!! Finally we came across this place - they played all of the hottest Reggaetón, including some popular throwbacks. Other rooms were playing Bachata and Cumbia (and we heard there is live Banda sometimes). Arriving at 10pm there's hardly anyone - by 12am the dance floor was a party. $10 cover charge. The decorations and general ambiance could use an update - but the perfect playlist made it a 4-star club for me!! read more

The atmosphere was was cool, had a lot fun dancing and meeting a wide variety of cool people! But the dude bartending was completely unprofessional. I paid $50 for 3 shots, I got one normal shot, one that decent, but still a little lighter, and then one of the "shots" didn't even go past the lowest ring of the base of the cup. I wasn't rude, but I held up the "baby shot," and asked if he could put a little more into it because I just paid over $16 per shot, but only really received 2 real shots, split over 3 cups. He said, "no not a chance, take the shot or I will have you kicked out." Sadly, I did not take a picture, I told him I was definitely going to be leaving, but that I just wanted to be treated a little fairly. The bartender then grabbed security and told me and my other two friends that we had to leave. Didn't argue, took the TWO shots, and left the club. Sorry it's long, worth the read!! This is literally my first review ever because I'm not a complainer and I hate being negative. I came here with 4 friends and it was super crowded to the point of being a safety hazard. I ended up getting separated from two of my friends who were inebriated. It was around 3:30 am and one of my friends said she was outside so I went out to the front. She wasn't there, so I tried asking the security guard if I could go back in but he wouldn't even open the door or listen to what I had to say. I realized he didn't care to help and was kind of a jerk, so I decided to just keep calling my friends's phones for over an hour. While waiting outside I see a a 5'1 skinny blonde girl go to the security guard also trying to find her inebriated friend. They talk for about 30 seconds, the girl never raises her voice, never puts her hands on him, but he pushes her violently to the floor and slams the door shut. I help her up and it seems her wrist is sprained. I try to figure out a way to report him but I don't know his name So I come up with a plan. A guy keeps trying to hit on my friend outside so I tell him if he asks the security for his name she will definitely talk to him. Knowing the security is a violent jerk who loves abusing his power, I start recording as soon as he agrees. The security guard pushes the guy for no reason and they almost get in a fight, but the guy walks away. The little blonde girl who was assaulted tried talking to a cop who asked her if she was going to remember this the next day" and just blew her off. Maybe she was tipsy, but that's no excuse to hurt her. She was never belligerent or intimidating in any way. I made sure she had my number and the other 2 witnesses' numbers in case she wants to sue, which she should. Not okay. Check security cameras for 1/19 around 3:20 ish-4 am and fire abusive, violent security guard before you get a lawsuit on your hands. Not to mention they were serving alcohol past 2:00 am which is pretty cool if you're trying to drink but also pretty illegal as far as I know. read more
