The home inspector talked incessantly from the minute he entered the unit until the moment he left, rarely paying full attention to his work. He spoke, ad nauseum, more about his upcoming cruise than about the job he was performing. A few days after he left, I noticed all the screens in the unit were badly damaged, really damaged! Never once did the "home inspector" mention that to me, that would have been ethically the right thing to do, a courtesy. I then could have had the seller make the repairs, over $200.00 in damages.
