Oy reason I gave 2 stars is because they were able to see me right away. However my lashes are falling out, they are placed in clumps of 3 instead of individually so when a chunk falls out you see gaps. I had to go right back in because when i walked out I realized I couldn't open my eye all the way cuz they had glued my bottom lashes to my top in the corner of my eye. When I went in I had a lot of doubts, but Michelle reassured me that the lash extensions will not harm my natural lashes, she also spent the time to explain to me the different options that I have. Michelle did such a great job, the lashes feel so light, I don't even feel them. It doesn't hurt my eyes at all, it feels as tho they aren't even there. I decided to try lash extensions at my daughter's suggestion. She and her friends have them and I love they idea of not struggling with mascara and eyeliner. I chose Michele because of the excellent reviews, and proximity. I completely agree with other reviewers. Michele is lovely - very nice, friendly and helpful. She explains the options thoroughly so that you get what you want. The process is quite comfortable, you lie down and gentle music is playing, a very spa-like atmosphere I am very happy with my lashes, they are long but still natural looking. I was going to another person for lash extensions (Xtreme Lash Specialist) and became more unhappy after each visit. She only offered her clients three lash lengths and all of them were very thick. The lashes were so thick, stiff and rigid that they would easily pop off after a few days of wear. Also with lashes so thick, a few will fall off and look like you have a bald spot. Thick lashes feel very heavy on the eyelid-- HEAVY. Then magic happened... This little princess went onto Yelp and began a search for a new LASH FAIRY...KAPOW Michelle! I went to her studio, close to Union Square/Stuyvesant Town. Upon entering, I removed my shoes and got comfortable on the spa benches in the waiting area. I was inundated with the relaxing and calming aroma of lavender and eucalyptus essential oils. Being a first timer with Michelle she asked me many thorough questions while we sat on the benches. The questionnaire consisted of medical background (surgeries, allergies, etc). After filling out the form, Michelle sat with me in the waiting area to ask me what look I wanted to achieve. During the consultation, Michelle took her time to explain lash length, thickness, curvature and volume. Then she brought me to her room. I laid on a super comfy masseuse table top bed and began her magic. She let me feel the differences between the new lashes she would apply and the current ones that were on my eyelashes. Michelle was SUPER GENTLE and patient. This is truly a person who values and loves what they are doing like an artist to a blank canvas. I fell quietly asleep--SNORING. When I awoke I felt that I had been tricked until I looked in the mirror. I had a full set of lashes and they felt light as air. FULL SET LIGHT AS AIR. It was hard to believe how amazing my eyes looked with so much volume and it felt like she hadn't attached a single lash. Finally, I got so many compliments from my girlfriends on how pretty my eyes looked. Men at work told me that lately I looked extra pretty. Although this is my first time, I will return again. She was worth the price and quality. I have had minimal shedding for a person in my profession (I work outdoors in the blazing sun, heat, sweaty all the time) to withstand, compared to the previous Lash gremlin I went to. I was referred to Michelle through another eyelash specialist in the city and am soooo happy I met her! She took me on as a new client right away and have been going to her once a month (sometimes more) for almost a year now. I am not one to get beauty treatments done ever really... but once I got this done I was hooked. I've been to the ones like ebenezer before and this was so professionally done and lasts forever. Michelle uses the best quality Xtreme Lashes and really listens to exactly how you want them done - length, width, weight, etc. She is super patient with you and glues each lash on individually - it's like a relaxing spa treatment. After, you have beautiful, full, long lashes that last up to a month, sometimes longer. I never wear mascara (I was a eyelash curler/mascara freak before) and hardly wear any eye makeup now -- and that says alot having asian eyes. Although it is a little costly to keep up with monthly extensions, they last longer than any other place in the city and you never have to worry about mascara, raccoon eyes ever again. My daughter gave me the gift of eyelash extensions a couple of times, and I was sold. She lives in LA, I live in NYC. What's a girl to do? When I finally decided to fulfill my long-overdue desire to try eyelash extensions, I settled with Michelle for many reasons. I thoroughly researched the types of eyelashes, eyelash glue and procedures beforehand and decided on Xtreme Lash Extensions for its recognized quality. I had been contemplating getting lash extensions for a while. I was just tired of the strips. After research I found Xtreme Lashes Eyelash Extensions. It was a quick easy trip from Brooklyn. The facility is extremely clean and quiet. It has a very Zen feel to it. You have to remove your shoes when you enter. Michelle was extremely knowledgeable and professional. She sat and discussed exactly what I wanted. She explained what the process entailed and made me feel very comfortable. When you lay down to get them done you can barely feel a thing since Michelle's touch is so light. It was so peaceful and relaxing you can nap, wake up and they're done. I traveled on vacation a few days after I got them done. I enjoyed the pool, the beach, the rainforest, etc and the lashes stayed put. I washed my face as normal without using oils and did just fine. Some lashes grew out naturally as Michelle explained but I came back with practically a full set.
