The guy working there gave me a lot of information on how to take care of it & let me know how long it would take to heal. Came for the Friday the 13th special, paid the weekend of the 13th and was told I could come in and have the tattoos done anytime in the next month. What a deallll. I had paid ahead for two small tattoos but the day I went in to have them done, the artist really hooked me up on my second tattoo. The reference page I showed her had two characters on it and I'd initially only intended to get one at the moment and the second some time in the future. She offered to go ahead and knock both out at the prepaid price and all my tattoos came out super cute. Planning a couple pieces I'd like done in the future, I'd super recommend her. I drive 30 minutes just to be told they're not currently doing oral piercings due to covid but expect to start again next month. The first thing that stood out to us was the lack of pictures of tattoo designs. It looks like a boring version of a Hop Topic. I have several tattoos so I've been in several tattoo shops. Besides a sign declaring "TATTOOS," there was nothing about the shop that would have me believe they did tattoos. They have tons of shirts but their stock of piercings was nothing to write home about because most of the spaces for them were empty. My sister and I were looking to get a nostril piercing and a septum piercing. The lady/piercer at the desk was sitting behind the counter on her phone. We were told on arrival that they were out of the horseshoes for the septum but had rings. No big deal. She commented on the fact she'd just gotten back from a vacation and how no one had done any work in the store while she was gone, hence there was no paperwork for the clients, us, to fill out. Once in the back, I let my sister go first with the septum. Turns out she has a deviated septum which she didn't know about but after piercing her once, the piercer took the hoop out, then re-pierced it )a second hole) before telling us what the issue was. After the second piercing, she explained the issue and my sister got to look in the mirror (sitting on the floor) to see that the ring was basically lopsided (it was more to the left than centered). During that time another girl came by and said the shipment order had come in at some point but she wasn't able to open it without the owner there, but the piercer said she could do it. - Had she let us know after the first piercing, there would have been no need for added pain (re-piercing) or wasted time. Then it was my turn. Here she informed me that they were out of corks so she rolled up a piece of paper towel and put that in my nose. I've never had a nose piercing but I do have an industrial and snake bites. Needless to say, unlike those, this one hurt like a b*tch. I don't know if it's because of the lack of cork (paper towel is less stable) or because she seemed to do it so slowly. Fast forward, my sister and I are doing some errands and she's very unhappy with her septum's lopsidedness. We go back and the same piercer (again sitting behind the counter on her phone, not doing any of the things she'd complained about others not having done) did take out the septum piercing and instead pierced her nose (no extra charge). It wasn't until after this, technically the third piercing, that I realized the piercer had never washed her hands the entire time we were there. She just went from doing phone stuff to putting on the gloves. Also, the ointment in the clear drawer she used to wipe the needle on while on her glove/stick the needle to was open the entire time. Can we say unsanitary? Overall, the piercer was friendly and it was nice that she fixed my sister's piercing issue, but that was it. Given we didn't interact with anyone else, we're under the impression she's in a higher position, maybe a supervisor/manager, than the girl who commented about the order and a random guy we saw walking around, her "display" in this field was poor. read more

I got my ear pierced here last week and I had a great experience! I was so nervous and the guy working at the front desk (I didn't get his name) made me feel a lot better by offering reassurance before taking me to Sarah who did my piercings. She was the absolute sweetest and was super patient with all the weird and nervous rambling I was doing. I barely experienced any pain with her and she works super fast! I'll definitely be returning for more piercings in the future :D read more

I made a deposit of $80 two weeks ago with tattoo artist Paulee Smith. On that day I was very confident in my choice as she had great customer service. It was a pleasure meeting her and booking my appt. Fast fwd to the day of my appt, today June 26, 2021. I arrived at the shop 30 min before my 1'oclock appt and the shop was closed. Imagine my surprise as not only the shop was supposed to be open at 10 am, but most important I had an appt. I did not hear from Paulee requesting to reschedule or her stating that she was unable to do my tattoo. I messaged her multiple times at the number provided on her business card but no response. I feel duped. I am unable to get my $80 deposit back because I cannot get a hold of anyone and I was told I needed to pay the deposit in cash. I ended up going to another tattoo shop .This was the worse experience I have had at a tattoo and I lost my money. I do not recommend this shop, safe yourself the time and your hard earned money. UM, I have the paperwork from the shop I got pierced at, I think I know what I have. He then shows me what they have but isn't sure if he has any nose screws? My 18yo daughter got a piercing here and it fell out so she went back the same day it came out to have it put back in. The owner tried to shove it back in, forcefully grabbed the back of her head ( it was a nose piercing) so that her face was pressed into his stomach, she was crying and in pain and he told her to come back in 4 months and have it pierced on the opposite side. He was a complete jerk. My daughter ended up waiting for Amber (the woman who originally did the piercing) to come in and Amber hooked her up. Repierced it with almost no pain, and made sure she was good. The owner is disgusting and Amber is too good for this shop. read more

This review is for my customer experience ONLY. I did not receive a tattoo or piercing here (and you'll see why below). I heard about this place from a girl I ran into at Claire's who was covered in sweet tattoos. She recommended I try out Xtreme. I called on a Sunday afternoon and spoke with Redd who seemed as though he could care less for my business. I asked about a couple of the artists I had seen online, as their portfolio and work looked promising and exactly what I was after. He convinced me to book with him that afternoon, as neither of the other artists were available, and I asked about his portfolio. He said, "I have some pictures here." Okay...well...that's not helpful, but I'll give you a shot. So, I show up that afternoon ready to get my tattoo, or at least talk with Redd to see some of his work. He was in the middle of a huge tattoo, and I was informed that he "doesn't know how to book" and had forgotten to put me in his schedule. When I went to the back, all he said was, "I have another booking after this; it'll be like two more hours....but you can wait if you want." Um, no. I'm sorry, I realize that as a tattoo shop your customer service doesn't need to be as top notch as some finer establishments, and I also realize that people come to you rather than you trying to "sell" them anything, but c'mon. You could honor appointments, learn how to book properly, or at least learn how to handle customers on the phone. On top of that, when I asked about making an appointment with the other artist I had seen, the girl at the front of the store gave me the artist's facebook and told me to contact her directly through FB as she didn't "have a book" to schedule me in. So...I did just that, and I have yet to hear from her. This was four days ago. Maybe it was just a small tattoo, but you've lost my business, and you've earned some negative reviews. read more

The male tattoo artist sucks. This shop is extremely unprofessional. The artist that did my tattoo was dating the woman at the front desk and calling her babe although there was clearly a couple decades of age difference. I could've gotten over this if it wasn't for the fact that he ruined my body. The line work was awful and the ink was blotchy and didn't settle correctly. I believe the artist was under the influence because I saw a marijuana pipe on the shelf in plain sight. Now I'll have to spend even more money on cover ups. Don't go to this shitty shop. I went to Xtreme yesterday to get my snakebites (double lip piercing) redone. I had a a few concerns, all of which my piercer Zac was able to help me with. From the moment I told him what I wanted, he was absolutely the most helpful person I'd ever spoken to. He reminded me of all the aftercare instructions before he did the piercing, which was helpful. There are products in the shop that you can buy to help with this, such as H2Ocean. There is no excuse for not following a proper aftercare routine with the knowledge and available products that this shop provides to you. Besides being super helpful, he's also just a really cool guy. It turns out we have a lot of interests in common which made me feel a lot more at ease. I asked him about getting longer bars for the initial jewelry because of my experience with swelling from the last time. He gave me the longest starter labrets he had on hand, 13mm, and said to come back if I needed a longer one since they carry them in the store portion of the shop. He said if I did need to do this, he would first sterilize the jewelry in the autoclave. This reassured me that he 100% cared about my safety, not just while he was piercing me but for as long as I have the piercings. You can tell he takes pride in what he does. (Side note: NEVER get pierced in a shop that doesn't have an autoclave. If you decide to go to a shop other than Xtreme, please make sure that they're using an autoclave to sterilize their equipment.) Getting pierced was more or less what I expected based on my first experience. I will say that it hurt much worse because of the scar tissue I had from the previous piercings, but it had nothing to do with his technique. He was very professional at all times. He was VERY thorough in making sure that the piercings would be as symmetric as possible. When he was marking my lip for placement, he noticed immediately that one of my previous piercings was a tiny bit higher than the other. That was something that had always bothered me, and I was so glad that he noticed (and that I wasn't crazy for thinking they were uneven before). The placement we ended up going with was perfect. It's not too high or too low, and even through the swelling they seem even. I could not be happier with how they turned out. Cost was about the same as other shops I'd been to or looked into. Snakebites cost me $60 since it's technically two piercings. More than worth it for the quality of the service I received. Any issues with my piercings are now completely on me. For as long as I live in San Antonio, Zac is the only piercer I will go to. I'm sure the other piercers at Xtreme are just as awesome, but he won me over first. I definitely recommend seeing him specifically if you can. Just call the shop to see when he'll be in. Even if you can't get pierced by Zac, check out Xtreme anyway and see if it's a good fit for you. :) read more

I visited their booth at the Slinging Ink Tattoo Expo and chose them to get my new work done. Initially I wanted a color Yin Yang, but we just couldn't come to a understanding on that, so I went to my alternate: Spurs logo. I wanted it on my calf and wanted it a specific way, which they were able to do. For the life of me, I cannot remember the name of the girl who did my tat, but I know she was blonde. She is not on their website, so I cannot recommend her. But she was great. Considering the chaos that is the Tattoo Expo, she was able to do a great job with what I wanted and was very friendly while doing it. And the price was fair, $200. I got my nose and triple forward helix pierced here. When I walked in, the girl at the front was eating, which I thought was very unprofessional. Especially for a place that does body mods. Both my piercings got infected. And when the guy pierced my nose, he didn't seem to know what he was doing and didn't give me any aftercare instructions. There store hours said that they opened at 9:30am. I was a walk-in wanting a simple tattoo. I arrived at 11:15a and was told the tattoo artist wouldn't arrive until 12 or 12:30pm. I was told he'd be available to do my tattoo as soon as he arrived. At 12:30 I checked back in. They tried calling the guy. Eventually he got back to them and they seemed confused as to if he was arriving in 20 mins or an hour. I told them I wasn't going to wait 20 mins if he's an hour away since I had already been waiting since 11:15am. They called him back and he told them he wouldn't be arriving for another hour and a half. Frustrating experience. Very unorganized shop. read more

My daughter got her nose re-pierced yesterday by Shooby(sp?). He did a great job. I love how he explained everything beforehand and answered all of my daughter's questions. Afterwards, he told her too monitor it because re-piercings can be tricky, especially when you have a lot of scar tissue. As a matter of fact, he would not have done the procedure if she did. I went in for a friday the 13th special and was forewarned about the wait before hand. So when i got there we had great costumer service and was i formed its be about a 2-4 hour wait but they would try to squeeze us in if someone didnt show up. Right after that they changed the way they were seeing people so we ended up waiting close to 6 hours. The planning was poor for this event midway through the day they changed the way they were seeing people ending up in a longer wait. The customer service was poor, nothing was explained to us on how the systme worked we had to listen in on there side conversations to get biys and pieces of how the system worked. read more
