For clarity, review is not about Jessica. I originally tried to book with her, but my appointment was instead handled by an older Korean woman who appears to be the owner. This owner kept pushing my boundaries and overtime, her behavior became passive-aggressive and unprofessional. For example, I felt pressured to purchase a Brazilian laser hair removal package and when I declined, she made a comment along the lines of "people would find it ugly if you didn't," which I found completely inappropriate. On another occasion, she brought in another customer or acquaintance during my appointment. I overheard the person ask (in Korean) why she was working on a Saturday, to which she responded "because of this girl," as though I were an inconvenience forcing her to be there. This made me uncomfortable and felt very unprofessional. Just because I prefer speaking in English doesn't mean I understand what you're saying! At the time I didn't speak up, partly because she was older and appeared to be the owner of the business. But looking back, I regret not addressing it sooner. I also noticed another reviewer described a very similar negative experience, so this clearly wasn't a one-off situation. Again, this review is not about Jessica. However, if you're a first-time Korean-American customer like me and you're given the option to book with the older Korean woman, I honestly wouldn't recommend setting up the appointment at all. She made the time to talk to me and explain the options and procedures. While other establishments were too rigid with their prices and schedules, Candy gave me a good price and gave a time slot the next day. I was so excited and nervous at the same time. She drew the options for my eyebrows based on the shape of my face. Then gave me some suggestions. I accepted her suggestion and went on with the procedure. She applied numbing cream and waited for it to take effect. So i only felt minimal discomfort during procedure. Throughout the procedure she kept asking if I was ok. I felt I was in good care.
