I've been a client at La Peau Day Spa for over 10 years now. I used to visit the Manhattan location but now they moved to Flushing (so much closer to me with free parking too!) Evelyn the owner is always super sweet and treats me like family. I've gotten my facials from Evelyn, Yuki, and Helen at this location. All the ladies give relaxing yet effective facials for my acne prone skin. My go to is Yuki, her massages are strong and extractions are thorough. My favorite facials are the Civasan HY+ Balsam Hydrated Facial and Casmara. They have many lasers, ultrasonic, microcurrent, IPL, LED machines as add ons. Their new spa in Flushing is spotless and trendy with a UV sterilizer for tools in every room. I have gotten semi-permanent makeup done with Evelyn many times in the past and she is really an artist. I purchased a 3 pack which was very affordable for the service. Each time a different aesthetician did the facial. I would have rather had the same person versus someone different each time. The service is nice, the people are nice, everything is clean and well organized, I was very impressed. I had my facial done here and it was so refreshing to the point I fell asleep on the bed. I also had my makeup done here by Make Up Rite artists for a photoshoot and I fell in love with my makeup. My makeup artist defined my facial features very well and I had the perfect face afterwards. Honestly- the most fairly decent Groupon treatment I've experienced yet rating 3.5 stars in overall. The Groupon really was well worth it -$65 for the diamond peel facial, manicure and pedicure! The regular price of $205 is what I call, "you're-outta-your-flipping-mind" spa package. Booking this for myself and my two sisters, was a great bonding day and my fashion girlie came with too. The staff was very accommodating scheduling all four of us together and it worked out that two of us had facials at once while the other two had the mani/pedi going. Cleo for my facial ushered me into a sliding door room with the facial chair all set with a blanket and pillow. "Oh yes! Sleep is involved in the facial!" were what had me content, and the peel was painless with the mini suction cup like wand vacuuming away all the dead skin cells in my face. Not worth the regular $170! Not at all! Wait for a deal here my Yelpers or you'll be Yelping about how you're broke. The mani/pedi were nothing extraordinary - I can honestly get the same treatment in Brooklyn for half the price. Regular price here: $40. Clean, sterile, and only a handful of colors to chose from. If you Groupon your visit like me, the will try to push selling you they're special offer of ten diamond peel facials for $500, but I said a firm "no" and that ended it. This is my favorite place to do advanced facial treatments. I highly recommend 7D， picosecond laser and golden needle laser. After I did 7D i did not have to put on foundation for a while. My face glows and I feel as if I have more collagen all of a sudden. I used to have darker forehead due to acne but after a few picosecond laser treatments my forehead color is the same as the rest of the face. You can see the effect immediately after each treatment. Golden needle laser is a little bit painful but the result worths it! I feel my entire face glow one week after 5be treatments. The service is excellent!! I got a pretty decent facial here. I'm super picky, so it was fine but not the best. I'm a HUGE skin freak and spend a lot of money on keeping clear skin, since I used to have super bad acne. So you can say that I've tried a minimum of like.. 100 facial places. I did find my holy grail place in South San Francisco which I am a forever customer of. So comparing it to those $180 facials I get, this one was alright. But they had a promotion going to where their super marked up prices of $120-$170 per facial was a fraction of the cost. I would say that the facial is definitely not worth $100-$170 if it weren't for the deal. They start to passively sell you the package during your facial, and then after that they pull out a chair and sit you down to start selling you the package more aggressively. So each facial comes out to be about $50 ish if you get a package of 10, which is actually a pretty good deal for the work that they do. A full on mask is additional $20. So I think the business runs on selling packages, which is fine as I don't think its worth it getting the full advertised price per facial. The 4 stars is based on a discounted microdermabrasion facial, which I think I would have easily paid $80 for as I normally get a better version of that at my normal place for $130. I will come back since its a pretty good place considering the ones I've tried in New York so far. read more

3.5 stars really My sister gifted me with a '2 pack- 1-hour microdermabrasion facial' package for my birthday. I've had two different experiences in the two times that I went. The first time I went, the lady was very kind (she did point out my acne scars a little more than I'd like to hear but hey, she meant well) She tried to sell me a green mask thing for like $30 but I kindly refused and there was no more hassling. Phew. The session wasn't exactly an hour long but I assume all the steps were done. My face felt very bright afterward and I was very satisfied. My second time was a bit different from the first. They missed out on an exfoliation step that they did in the first session. When they put the green mask on me, they didn't cover it with a wrap either like the first time (although this didn't bother me). The session ended with her putting a greasy balm on my face (felt like petroleum). My face felt so greasy and not the same feeling as I had with the first session. Basically, my first session was ok but the second session I felt could have been better. Few tips (literally): Tip is based on the original price, which is fine. There is also a tax, which isn't much (about 5 bucks for each session) Overall, I feel if it's like the way my first session went, I would highly recommend the place but if it's like my second session, I'm not sure if it's worth it. read more

I'm sorry I really tried to like this place because the lady that worked on my facial was really nice but this was probably one of my worst facials I ever had. I have very sensitive skin and recently my skin had some allergic reactions to sunscreen and I broke out in little bumps. It was getting better after a few facial visits at my other place. So I stopped by this place because my spot didn't have any appointments and I really needed a facial. I walked out with all my pores, pimples all and popped. I was embarrassed to walk out on the streets. Basically my whole face is all scarred up. Today is my 3rd day and it's still not cleared yet. The lady also tried to sell me packages before, during and after the facial. I understand it's there job but it's a bit pushy once we say no, not interested. I told her I am not sure how I feel after my facial yet how can I buy the package? Also the location is located near soho, it looks spacious but you get stuck in little rooms but you can hear everything else that goes on each room. I am def not going to return. read more

Had an appointment for Deep Cleansing Facial at 2pm. Arrived at 1:50pm and was promptly started at 2pm. Joyce did a great job massaging my face and even fixed my eyebrows for free (not sure if it's included).The extraction part did hurt a lot, but the whole experience itself was really nice. Rooms were clean, products were nice (smell was awesome), music was soothing. The rooms are a bit thin though, so you will hear footsteps and people talking next door. But once it gets quiet, it's very relaxing. They didn't force package deals on you, but right after my facial, they asked if I wanted to do a package deal, my answer was yes.
