Been going to this salon for years. Now I bring my 94 year old Mom there for a weekly appointment with Tammy, and they pay special attention to her. They bring her a blanket, and take care of her like she is their own Mom. Can't say enough about how they go the extra mile. Really good folks here and the salon is lovely. read more

I follow my stylist wherever he goes, and for a couple years he's been at this great salon. It's chic and modern, and the stylists are friendly. Over the last year it's gone through some updates. To me this is one of the nicer salons in Destin! Technically you can walk in or visit from out of town. But if you're a local, it's better to shop the stylists' work and start getting to know which one is the right fit for you. My favorite is of course my stylist Alan. He has done my hair for 8+ years. He is innovative and remarkably skilled. There is no possible bad hair day with a cut and color as excellent as he does! (He's also limited in his availability). I also think Ryan does really good work, is on trend and is a great guy. I haven't gotten to see the other stylists' work as much to speak for them. Stylists set their own prices and many book their own appointments, so just jump in and get familiar. This is the quality of salon where you can expect to find your life-long stylist, so definitely come find yours! read more

Terrible terrible salon. $105.00 for being rushed through a root touch up. The hair dresser was rough and tough on my hair and scalp. The whole appointment was finished in 40 minutes. Blow drying included! Whatever hair color they used, it was beyond horrid. It hurt my scalp, and left BURN marks all over my head! I couldn't believe it. Please, save yourself some money, and your hair. Stay away from this place! read more

I wish I could give this salon an extra five stars, I had such a fantastic experience here. I scheduled an appointment here after I got a HORRIBLE hair cut from Avantgarde at the Destin Commons. I've never had such a terrible haircut in my life, the front of my hair (everything from my ears to my hair line) was chopped off to my collar bones, and the rest of my hair was almost a foot longer than the front, mullet much? Anyway, I called on a Thursday to see if I could schedule an appointment, per the recommendation of a friend, with Tammy. She returned my phone call quickly, and scheduled me for a hair cut the next day. Not only was Tammy super friendly, kind, and attentive, but she was also very straight forward and honest with me (which I value SO much in a stylist). I had already known/accepted that I was going to lose about a foot in length of my hair. However I've never had a cut so short, needless to say I was a little nervous. But HOT DANG, she did an AMAZING job! And I also felt like the pricing was very fair for such a high quality cut. read more

Highly recommend!! I was desperate for a trim and I don't live in the area. I called and one of the stylist had a cancellation so I was able to get right in. Anabel was amazing...she did exactly as I asked...as well as a great shampoo massage...she was friendly and knowledgeable. The salon was extremely clean and nice decor. I still stand by my review of Ya Ya's being one of the best salon's I've ever been to. They are all so professional, well trained and treat you like they have known you forever. I love how they have updated the salon and given it an fresh look. I've only used wonderful humorous tell-it-how-it-is, Tammy, for years to cut, color and do Keratin treatment's for my hair. She also was the only one I wanted for styling my hair for my wedding. As far as anyone else, I've sat and watched all the other's for years and would recommend anyone if Tammy was not available. Also, Deah did an incredible job of my makeup for my wedding and I wish I had another event to attend so I could look glamorous! Whenever I can, I get Holly to dye my blonde eyelashes black so I don't have to wear mascara. WOW do they stand out when she's done. She is so sweet and great at her job. Brittany does my hair and I always love it , I came here because they are one of two local salons that advertise the ouidad cut , which I love. Re the other review about the hair color product -diffferent stylists use different products so ask your stylist - The hair color product Brittany uses hasn't caused any problems , hair dye always makes my head itch and Brittany puts sweet and low in it to stop the itching, the color is good and lasts as long as any , cost for one color , trim to shape and blow dry curly was $135 plus tip read more

Awful, SHOCKED, and sick. As short as I can make this. My daughter made an appt to get a waterfall hairdo for her SENIOR Homecoming. I had Watched videos & it seemed simple enough but we wanted to be safe. Walked in, no one acknowledged us, finally called back, we got in the chair & the girls seemed really sweet. Then the BIGGEST BOMB EVER she tells us she didn't know how to do it "WHAT" then she brings out a box with a cushy sponge as she explains she's never used it & had to read the directions. Now I'm dying, wanting to cry, inside because I can see my daughters face & she is trying to act like she is ok because she's not a complainer and was appreciative I was doing this for her Bottom line: looked NOTHING & I mean nothing like it. We knew the curls wouldn't last to long but how about at least till we walked out. THEN oh my I couldnt believe what I saw, she put a braid in the middle of her head & it was CROCKED. I had to get out of there before I lost my mind. LASTLY don't hit the ground, she charged me $117. Holy -/// Don't care who you think you are but it wasn't an updo, it was supposed to be a few curls and the waterfall. My daughter got a beautiful dress $39 because she is simple and classy as was the hairdo. She tried to hide her tears the whole way home because she didn't want me to think she didn't appreciate it.
