Yaffa wigs is the shitznit. Beautiful european silky hair will cost you though. The place is always buzzing. Free cut and style but washouts are 40 bucks. ..i just wonder where they get all that hair from? I took my daughter to Yaffa before her chemo treatments, so she would have a wig before losing her hair. While they were very helpful during our visit, I asked them to mail me the wig (to save some money on taxes). The wig we received was not the same wig -the one we received was a different color and not nearly as pretty as the one we selected and paid a lot of money for. This was extremely upsetting and costly. They swore up and down it was the same wig and that it looked different because of the lighting. It was not our first experience with wigs-it was NOT the same wig. I had her send me another wig overnight because my daughter had an event she was going to and had lost her hair. So I ended up paying for all the shipping back and forth-never again will I go to this shop! read more

I bought a humen hair wig for 2000 dollars and its getting frizzi and out of shape so I have to pay for a full wash every 3 weeks and when I went back to her she started to yell at me in front of everyone that i didnt buy it by her (even it has her tag inside) and I should get out of the store, if not she will call police read more

I went here years ago when I bought my first wig. I was looking for something 16 inches layered, straight to wavy and european. I ended up purchasing one there and also a headband fall. The color of the wig was not perfect and the fit was far from natural looking. However, the quality of the hair was excellent. I had to get it recolored after purchasing the wig because they simply didn't have a blonde color in my color there, however, it was noticably cheaper than alternatives at the time. I paid 1850 for it. However, I accidently bumped into a sale item headband fall there that I fell in love with and splurged and purchased that as well. I am so glad I did. That was everything you'd want in a headband fall (cost around 1100). It was not multidirectional, but for a band fall it was perfect. I used it practically everyday for 5 years and it is only recently starting to show wear and tear. I think the sizing on the full size cap runs large and I wouldn't recommend purchasing online since you can't touch and feel what you get. I would not go back for a full sheitel there since the sizing is weird and since then they started to sell a whole bunch of different levels of hair quality. In fact, I had someone turn my full wig into a topper, though I don't recommend it because the topper is always shorter than you'd expect since they only use the top part of the wig which only has shorter layers. I'd prefer to purchase a wig from a retailer that only sells European so I can trust what I get is top notch quality. Yaffa herself cut my wigs and she did a pretty good job. If you are looking for a headband fall though, this is a good place, just don't mind spending a lot. Their toppers appear to be very overpriced and thin. I was upset to see online that they have begun really focusing on the lower quality items and processed european hair not virgin. Just don't purchase anything brazilian, it's usually chinese hair processed in brazil! (This is true for anyone claiming to sell it). read more

This place is a rip off. Everyone tells you how beautiful you look but they are only out to sell. If you are not happy don't bother to call. Hair is heavy and too shiny. Almost waxy looking. Not silky light euro hair. The wigs are very overpriced for what they are. Very unnatural looking. I heard other people complaining about wigs not lasting and the answer was it is your fault. They are extremely rude at the salon- If you don't like the hair they complain about taking it back...You will pay through the roof for their wigs...and it is simply a waste of money as I have found so many other wig companies with much lower prices and better quality....Never again for Yaffa Wigs for me!! read more

Worst hair quality ever. I had the misfortune of buying two types of hair pieces from this place, one Remy and one European hair piece. Both of them were an absolute disaster. Within 1 week the Remy piece was shedding uncontrollably, to the extent finger combing it was the most I could do and had to wear it up in a bun. I would have switched to the European hair at this stage but couldn't as I had to return this for repairs as it was also tangling. When I got it back from Yaffa (note that I covered the full delivery cost from London) it didn't even resemble the piece I had sent back, if anything it had been thinned out even more and had been cut shorter to cover-up the fact that it was just a low quality wig. The Remy piece Yaffa refused to repair for me, despite the fact that when I sent it back it was literally impossible to comb through it as it was so tangled and matted. Apparently they can't police how people look after the Remy and it yields different results for different people, despite costing US$800. I can hand on heart say I did nothing to the hair except wash it, condition it and ATTEMPT to comb it, which was when things turned hairy (excuse my pun). All I can say is I have since spoken to a reputable wig manufacturer in London called Gali who saw the hair and said Yaffa has a reputation for passing off hair from China as European hair. Please whatever anyone does, stay away from this hair. If you send me a private message I am more than happy to send pictures of the tangled mess that the wig had become within 4 weeks and pictures of the daily shedding. read more

This was one of the worse shopping experiences I have ever had. No you're not treated any nicer in the shop. I saw a wig online and since I live in Brooklyn I went there in person. I walked into an absolutely empty place with an office in the back. Finally some one called out "Can I help you?" I had Chemo, my hair never really grew back and that is why I wear a wig. A women asked me what I wanted and I told her there was a synthetic wig I was interested in and one made of European hair. She said, "That's over $1,000. I replied I knew but wanted to try it on anyway. She brought out the synthetic wig in 2 colors, handed them to me and said I could try them on and walked away. I had to stand in the front of the display area with a man cleaning up and anyone could walk thru the entrance behind me into the shop. I was very self conscious to take my wig off with absolutely no privacy. No one came over to help me. I stood infront of a mirror with 3 wigs on display infront of me. When she finally came back after I tried both wigs on she had another synthetic wig which I never asked for. .I said the wig I tried on wasn't at all like the one on their website and she said "Oh, you have to spray it with water first to style it." She never mentioned that before I tried it on and she walked away. She didn't offer to spray it and style it for me.. I've ordered synthetic wigs online which were ready to wear out of the box and never needed spraying with any thing.. I wasn't taking a chance on bringing it home and then testing it out. Luckily I didn't after reading Yaffa's last bad review. She never did bring out the human hair wig but by then I couldn't wait to get out of there. Certainly not a place for Cancer survivors or any one who wants some one to take a personal interest in them. Shame on you Yaffa!!!!!. read more

Buyer beware! Don't order from the website. You won't get what you pay for and they won't take it back even if it is their mistake! They sent me the wrong color wig. It was supposed to be "virgin" never processed, or colored hair. That's a lie. When I called to say its the wrong color they just wanted to dye the same wig again. I told them it was already dried out, it couldn't take being dyed. Besides, why would I want them to dye it--I paid extra to get "virgin"hair. That's when they informed me that the hair had already been dyed! They LIED! When I ordered the wig, they asked if I wanted it styled and I said I wanted it to look just like the photo on their website except for a middle part instead of side part. When I got the wig and it was the wrong color, dried out, and no styling other than a side part, I called. When I told them all of this they said we will dye it. I told them that was not acceptable and they said I could not return it because it had been "cut". Not once had this been mentioned when I ordered the wig. If you are expecting your wig to look just like the photo and that's what you are paying for--you can't return it even if it is wrong, even when the mistake is theirs. They only accept uncut wigs for return but that's not what they advertise and that's not what they take photos of. I feel this is false advertising. You may have a better experience if you walk into the store but definitely don't buy from the website even if you call them on the phone like I did. read more
