    Salmon Ginger (leftover)

AMAZING food! I got the ginger salmon and forgot to snap a pic since I got so hypedThe potstickers were amazing as well, they have a secret sauce that is to die for. I wanted to eat it on its own too-it was sweet and savory and just perfect! The waitstaff were super kind and accommodating too-they pushed together tables and helped us with the menu. We had a larger party, so it was nice to be able to sit in! We loved the cozy environment, and the fresh drinks. We tried the green tea, Thai tea, and butterfly tea which were all wonderful! Everything tasted so fresh and made with love. Will be stopping back here and bringing friends:))

Unbelievably delicious!! I had zero plans to stop here, however, I'm so glad I did!! Located on Selby near Great Harvest Bread, YaiGu Hot Bowls is all the hype. While there is no dedicated parking lot, street parking does exist. YaiGu Hot Bowls is located inside a larger building. Everything is extremely clean and well maintained. There are many large windows allowing for natural sunlight to hit along with fresh greenery. I dined in for a later lunch on a Wednesday afternoon and felt as if I had the entire place to myself. It was truly the most magical experience. The order format is a kiosk at the counter and then you seat yourself. There is an awesome group of ladies who run the show, cook behind the counter and bring out both food and drinks. Water is housed at the counter with silverware which is self-served. I really like the service model because it's half and half. I've never seen a model like this before (the closest I can think of is Cafe Latte). The customer service was personal and welcoming. The food was all made fresh and I could taste every spice flavor and felt the warmth literally and figuratively from the cooking. The potstickers were unique as they had chili powder and a super good peanut dipping sauce on the side. My main curry entre was out of this world (don't remember the name but it had beef, potatoes and carrots). The food was extremely hot temperature wise so if you plan to mingle with friends, just know you'll be waiting a touch for the food to cool off. For my drink, I ordered the hot tea which came in the most precious kettle with optional sugar. The entire tea set matched. I have totally found my new zen! I look forward to returning to this relaxing environment very soon. Bravo!! Thank you!!

So yum! We ended up here at 3pm on a freezing cold weekday, and this place really hit the spot. Inside of some sort of larger building with businesses, it's got an interesting cute café vibe. We ordered 2 curry dishes, both of which were made in the front where they take orders, and both of which were really delicious with strong flavors. The restaurant itself is family/ baby friendly, it was empty when we went so we felt comfortable with a baby there, but doesn't look like it would fit too many diners or larger parties. The two people working there were really helpful and friendly, and checked on us even though it appeared mostly self serve (get your own waters, utensils, order at a kiosk, etc). Overall, definitely recommend!

    Duck curry - so good
    Shelly H.

I've been here twice and ordered the duck curry both times. It's SO good and portion sizes are substantial. Others in our group got the green curry (also fire) and something else I couldn't remember. Everything was phenomenal, but the duck curry stole the show for me. Also don't sleep on the dumplings!!! They've been out of the mango sticky rice both times, but one of these days I'll get there before they sell out. We've dined in and ordered takeout, and quality is consistent for both. Dining in is casual, and the food came out super quick. We love this spot!

Incredible food, lovely indoor and outdoor seating, and such kind, attentive servers. We got the pumpkin beef curry and the shrimp dumplings and finished it off with the green tea ice cream. The fruits and vegetables were so fresh and delicious!

Friendly attentive prompt service with exciting options that were difficult to choose from because all seemed so amazing, and in fact everything we tried was fantastic. I forgot to take a photo of the lemongrass pork meatballs, but it was outstanding and clever with its lemongrass skewers. We are already looking forward to our next opportunity to dine here

Really enjoyed our lunch here with friends. 7 of us so we were able to try many things. The two guys working hustled but are still working out the bugs to get multi meals out at once. The food was great though and I want to go back and try additional things. Large portions at a reasonable cost. Phone is 6514409685 for take out orders

    Spring Rolls & Sauce

Cute spot that has a rustic modern feel inside with great food and the servers were wonderful. We shared the spring rolls which were packed and fresh, the peanut dipping sauce was absolutely delicious with it as well. I also had the panang beef curry which had a little heat which I loved and the curry sauce was beautiful and delicious. The beef was tender and the fresh veggies added some great color and freshness to the dish.

This was my first time going to YaiGu Hot Bowl. They don't have a parking lot so you will have to find street parking, and they're in a building with other businesses. There are devices to place your order, and I loved the music playing in the background. This is a very cute spot. The teapot and cups were adorable. I went here last night with a friend and we split the tea, and springs rolls. I got massaman curry . Our food was freshly made, and I kind you not they had some of the best spring rolls I've ever had. They weren't over stuffed and the sauce that came with complimented the rolls well. I loved the tea! My massaman curry was delicious and comforting. I think it's one of my favorites I've had in the twin cities. The person who brought all of our food out was really nice! Overall, I'd recommend this place and will be coming here again!

YaiGu serves delicious food. We ordered two fish dishes and the on both the fish was cooked perfectly (not overcooked ) The sea bass mango curry was very flavorful. The medium level of heat was good. The salmon rice bowl was delicious and attractive. We also loved the spring rolls - why are they so much better than most we have eaten?‍ The dining area is spacious with nice decor and there are special touches like china tea cups. The staff did a great job at cooking and serving. We plan on returning soon

The service was incredible. Very attentive and kind. She even brought out some plates to show us what some options were. The food was next level. So fresh and hot. Would 10/10 recommend this place. The spring rolls and pot stickers were a must have. Out of all of our dishes the Satay Chicken was the ultimate winner, however all of them were nothing short of delicious. Will becoming back!!

With two locations that are both consistently amazing, I've never had a single subpar experience. The restaurants are clean, simple and have great service. One thing I really appreciate is how clearly they label gluten-free and vegetarian options. The menu is packed with choices for different dietary restrictions. Every dish feels thoughtfully crafted and full of bold, authentic flavor. My go-to favorites are the pad thai, green curry, drunken noodles, Thai fried rice, yellow curry, and the spring rolls, they truly never miss. If you're new to Thai food, you can't go wrong starting with the pad thai and fried rice. If you like a little spice and depth of flavor, definitely add a curry to the mix. The portions are generous (perfect for sharing), and everything is consistently fresh and delicious. I can't recommend Coconut Thai enough!

I've ordered from On's dozens of times and they honestly deserved this review a lot sooner…read more Everything I've ever eaten from On's is authentic, delicious and bursting with flavor. I've tried numerous menu items, including their Laab, Pad-ga-pow, mango salad, pineapple curry, pad Thai and Prik Prik Moo Grop. There's another dish I've tried there that seems it's no longer on their menu but it was a curry seafood dish served in an actual coconut. It was amazing! My favorites so far are the mango salad and pad Thai. The #70 Moo Grop dish is a close one for top picks but my only complaint is the pork chunks weren't my preferred texture. The sauce, however, is a show stealer. I could literally drink it! It's that good. I've personally never had a negative eating experience with Ons but my husband did complain to me about their pineapple curry. He orders his food at the spiciest level, and I only ever tried a bite of his, but he thought it was very sour and tasted pickely. It was not the best curry I've had but I didn't think it was bad. I'm a seasoned Thai food eater - it's basically all I eat. So I've tried all of the Thai spots in the twin cities. On's is sitting in my top two. I've never eaten inside the restaurant so I can't say much for the service, but I have been in the restaurant to pick up orders and there isn't much to say for its ambiance. It's a very casual setting. My only complaint about Ons is that they serve their curry in shallow containers which makes for smaller portions. If they served their curry in soup containers and gave larger portions, they'd be my go-to spot every time. Right now, my other favorite Thai spot has them beat on curry portions. But that doesn't stop me from coming back for other menu items.

We went there before they closed down for renovation…read more Stuffed tofu is definitely my favorite item out of everything on their menu. It was crisp and vegetables inside felt fresh. The sauce that came with it is also a perfect pairing to the dish. The 4 pieces really fill you up so definitely good for its price. Portions are definitely good at this restaurant and you can easily find street parking in the neighborhood behind. Mohinga was okay. It was behind the first two times I came here. The fish cake in Mohinga was tasty as well as the fried peas. The boat noodle has very rich flavor. Broth was good and they gave generous amount of bean sprouts. La Phat Ye was good. They normally don't offer iced but we asked them to change. Overall, it's a great restaurant with decent prices and we hope that we can get back into business ASAP.

I feel blessed to say that one of the best restaurants I have ever been to in the United States is…read moreliterally right here in the Twin Cities, because the food here is heavenly to the point of me consistently returning despite living far from the establishment. In terms of food, there is a mixture of Burmese, Thai, and Karen dishes, and each one that my friends and I have ordered has been a hit. The tea leaf salad has amazing texture because of peanuts and fried garlic, which provide crunchiness, and has amazing flavor because of lemon juice, fish sauce, and tomatoes. The noodle salad has a light taste without adding the given lime piece, and then the rich nutty taste gets evoked and elevated upon adding lime juice. The zaap crispy has very well-seasoned fried chicken pieces, and medium spice level gives it a good amount of flavor. The shan khao soi is so creamy and tasty that even tasting the curry broth itself is a sensational experience, and the chicken leg included literally has "fall off the bone" meat. The boat noodle has a mixture of sweetness and savor, while the sweet flavor does not overpower anything at all. Finally, the mohinga clearly has fish cake flavor and texture fully infused, making it authentically delicious. We also ordered the knyaw iced salad, which was a mixture of ice along with crackers and other types of sweet ingredients. I thought it was very similar to a type of Vietnamese dessert called chè ba màu (three color pudding), and fully enjoyed it. The establishment only had one dessert, and I thought that was sufficient. While the street contains many excellent restaurants, I personally believe that this establishment stands out in terms of taste. I must also mention that since my friends and I arrived when barely anyone else was there each time we had gone there, we never experienced any service delays that some have mentioned in their reviews. I probably will give this place a 5 rating anyway even if I experience slowness, although I hope I don't.
