It took a few minutes to get seated, as the main server was sitting at the back table, eating. When she finished, she got me seated. The goods: I rate Thai restaurants on Kao Soi or Pad Thai. I chose Kao Soi with chicken and shrimp and the fresh spring rolls. Both were just okay. The food came out VERY QUICKLY, like 5-7 minutes. The spring rolls were filled with lettuce. Very little noodles or meat. There was tons of cilantro. The sauce was decent. The Kao Soi was not very flavorful. It was mostly coconut milk as the broth. Not much curry. The chicken was tender, the shrimp were over cooked and rubbery. I washed it down with a Pepsi. At $27 total, I think I prefer Lotus in the Loring neighborhood, better quality, more flavor and cheaper. Can't say I'd visit again. If so, I'd try the pad Thai.

The taste of the broth definitely tasted like it was from a soup base powder mix from premade not in-house. If you've ever had this dish at Quangs which is another fully loaded MSG Asian restaurant they make it better there of a thicker broth, more like a curry beef broth. The service is absolutely incredible. You will not find better service at any other restaurant in your entire life, however, I do not believe in fully loading foods with MSG. So it definitely breaks my heart to give a one star review just because I feel like everything was cooked with sauce packets powder packets not like authentic individual spices. They're charging almost $20 when you could buy the sauce packets that are five cents each at the Asian grocery store stores. So the taste is a rip off here.
