    Yaletown Gelato, Vancouver, BC

Yup! This is the best Gelato I've found outside of Florence. It even looks so much better than other places around town. And $4.75 for two healthy scoops is well worth it. However, I wanna rip around on that old school Vespa parked inside with the DO NOT TOUCH sign. It's very tempting!

After paying CAD4.99 for a bland froyo, I headed to Yaletown Gelato as a means of revenge for having an unsatiated appetite. (You should have seen my tummy and I. Man, were we both laughing. Scratches head. Wut!) The damage? A measly CAD4.75 for a piccolo size that consisted of two generous scoops of gelato. (Froyo, who's laughing now. Mwa ha ha!) The staff behind the counter was helpful. She was willing to let us taste, but after two trials I just stopped her already. I got Pistachio and Espresso. The pistachio didn't have the unnecessary green colouring. While the Espresso had bits of ground beans for added flavour and texture. Both were really yummy and flavourful. The cafe itself was warm and inviting. Apart from gelato, they had a variety of espresso and other hot drinks on the menu. As for the gelato, the left side of the display were milk-based, while the right side are the fruit and water-based sorbetto variety. However, as authentic as the flavours were, it's consistency was not as thick or sticky as it should have been. A typical gelato should have not much air making for a denser product than typical ice cream which the ones I had were not. Whether or not it was an off-day, they should not skimp or short-cut on the process at all. Because of this, I am only giving 4 stars.

I went to this place to have a quick lunch and I actually liked it a lot. I had a turkey panini with pesto sauce (we can choose the sauce from a fair list of options they have there). The panini was really good, the bread was very crispy and it came with a very fair amount of Turkey ham and cheese. My friends had soup and they loved it too. The staff was very friendly and I love its location at homer st close to dave lam park.

I love their hazelnut gelato. It's smooth and the right amount of sweetness. The service is excellent and their recommendation is valid, with a lot of sample spoons given to you. Also, they are willing to do 2 different flavours for a single scoop, which is great for me since I love mixing sweet and sour gelato but can't finish 2 scoops.

Yaletown gelato. On Homer off Davie across from JJ Bean. Look for this place , it is worth it. $3.50 single generous scoop

If you are anywhere close to Davie and Homer, you must stop here for gelato. Over 20 flavours of gelato And 20 flavouts if ice cream too. !, fresh tasty, top 5 gelato in Vancouver. Blood orange mmmm my favorite. $3.50 child / $4.10 single / $5.15 double. add $0.50 for waffle cone

As if a trip to the baker's market AND Cafe Medina is not enough, we decided to try Yaletown Gelato as our final culinary destination of the day (while planning to do yoga tomorrow). And how we are glad we did. The gelato was the perfect ending of the afternoon. As others have said, the owner lets us try as many flavour as we want, even more. We had one scoop; white chocolate and gianduia, ( as our stomachs are still digesting 2 waffles, 2 cupcakes, and two brunches) poured with espresso (Affagatto style). The other flavors that we taste were also pretty impressive, only 1 flavor (peach with strawberry) missed the mark.

There's nothing special about this gelato place. The prices are more reasonable but the quality isn't ideal. I guess you get what you pay for. With the amount of ice crystals in my white chocolate truffle gelato I might as well have been eating ice cream. Which I guess I don't mind, for the price and convenience. I'm so lazy.

Nice variety of flavorful gelato, decent coffee and friendly staff. Ambience is slightly lacking but there are some comfy lounge chairs to cozy into. I wish you didn't need to buy two scoops to have two flavors in your cup though. My second favorite gelato spot in Yaletown next to Bella Gelateria on the water.

Huge selection of non-dairy ice cream - literally half of it. All look very delicious. We tried 3 samples and ended up with a tasty cone. They also have sandwiches and baked items.

There was only one family ahead of me when I entered, who was asking questions about bean recommendations. The person at the order counter was really helpful providing them with good information. When it was my turn to order, it was quick since I had already selected beans that I wanted to purchase, and my oat latte. Option was asked if I wanted to dine in or takeout, and I went with the latter. After I got my drink, I took a seat on one of the benches they have outside the store. There's also a decent amount of indoor seating and an outdoor patio section in front of the store. Not my first time trying Nemesis since I've been to Vancouver before, but definitely a reminder of why they are listed as one of the World's 100 Best Coffee Shops. If I wasn't so full from brunch, I would have also gotten one of their pastries. Seeing them all was very tempting.

The atmosphere is your typical done right coffee spot, lots of wood and a modern feel. It's thoughtfully designed without losing that comfortable neighborhood coffee shop quality. It's become one of those places I make a point of visiting whenever I'm in Vancouver.

One thing noticeable about this restaurant is the lacking of plates. They used majority of their plates to serve the food on. However the food were served as finger foods and we were expected to hold our food in our hand. Somewhat strange. They also ran out of glasses during the party. The bartender couldn't even keep up with our drinks. Anyways other than the above. The event was a great event. I got the opportunity to try all four of their mocktails: - Blueberry Basil Lemonade - Mango Lavender Lemonade - Minty-Berry Sour - Pear Lavender Sour All their drinks were very fancy prepared and my favorite are the Minty-Berry Sour and the Blueberry Basil Lemonade. I also found that there is some inconsistency in the glass they serve it out of. The food was delicious as mentioned before. My favorite out of their finger foods were the grill cheese brisket. OMG that was really good. The other memorable items are the porkbelly and fried chicken. I think the fried chicken is one of their popular items on the menu served during brunch. The cheesecake at the end I got was very soft but flavorful. The cheeseburger slider was really good too. Overall I really enjoyed the food. The atmosphere and decor of the place was nice. The restaurant is very small. Because we were over 100 people, there was a wait for the 3 stalls in the bathroom. There was not enough tables and chairs for everyone to sit. I think the restaurant can comfortably maybe accommodate around 40 or 50 guests max. I will definitely be back again someday to try their brunch menu.
