    Dubai chocolate gelato
    Paula K.

Lovely little place with a variety of flavours, many of them not standard ice cream shop fare. I went for a scoop of Dubai chocolate. It was so rich, with pistachios and lots of knafeh - much more than I expected. It was delicious in taste and texture. Scoops are a little on the procey side but the quality is excellent.

A cute little place with yummy gelato! We stopped by on a Monday afternoon and there was no one else in there - a very quick and easy transaction. We ordered the Roasted Hazelnut in the single flavor cup and it was the perfect serving size for one hungry person or two not-so-hungry people to share! The flavor itself was great and the texture was softer than other gelato places I've been to. I was caught off-guard by the actual hazelnut pieces in the gelato. Overall a great experience paired with close proximity to all the other shops on the street!

My boyfriend and I recently attended Uno Gelato's gelato-making class, and it was such a fun, unique date night! For $70, we spent two hours after closing time with a small group (six people total), learning the secrets behind making delicious gelato--and we got to take home two pints of what we made, an ice cream scoop, and a BOGO coupon for future visits. Each month they have different flavors we made: Banana Mango Sorbet, and Chocolate Coconut Mango Gelato It was super cool to be able to know Behind-the-scenes knowledge - We loved learning about flavor balancing, ingredient quality, and the science behind gelato's smooth texture. Tasting different components (like cocoa percentages, fruit purees, and even different types of sugar) really deepened our appreciation. Considering a single pint usually costs ~$15 and the cone ~$8, the class essentially only costs ~$20 extra for the hands-on experience which felt like a steal! The class was also fun. We got to blend, churn, and sample along the way which made it super engaging (and delicious). However, six people did feel a bit crowded; four would've been ideal for better visibility and hands-on time. With that being said, it's definitely worth it! If you love gelato and want a fun, informative, and tasty experience, this class is a fantastic choice--just don't expect to walk out a master gelato chef. Perfect for date nights, friend hangouts, or anyone with a sweet tooth!

We stopped by here late night last minute and it was such a nice treat! I love how they have the ice cream cart and so many different delectable flavours. They even have a class you can take and learn how to make gelato! Can't wait to come back and try other flavours!

Once you go here you will never go anywhere else! It wasn't until my fourth time that I realized it is VEGAN!! The Dark Chocolate - 10/10 never had a chocolate gelato much like this one.

Who else loves gelato? Specially late night gelato :) We tried Pumpkin Pecan Bread Gelato & Akbar Mashti Gelato. Both gelatos were packed with flavour and weren't too sweet. I liked both flavours but if I had to pick a favourite I would choose the Akbar Mashti. Their gelatos are handmade in micro-batches. They are also vegan and gluten friendly.

Biscotti neri - cookie and cream hot chocolate. Hot chocolate festival drink
    Carolyn L.

Came here to try the hot chocolate created specially for Hot Chocolate Festival (plus it was a ridiculously long line over at Thomas Haas). It was only 2 people ahead of me, yet it was a long wait because it was only 1 staff on duty then and he disappeared for a while. In the meantime, a line started building up behind me. The wait meant I had plenty of time to study the menu and check out the walls which had online gelato making participation certificates for staff plus other write ups. 2 tables were available were dine in though most just have their order to go. Plexiglass was installed on the counter with only a small window to get your order. So only 1 customer party could be right by the counter. We decided on the Biscotti Neri which was served with a red fruit mini beignet. The hot chocolate was really good with quality chocolate giving a richness to the drink. The cookie crunch gave a bit of saltiness to cut through the sweet. The mini beignet was also nice. The gelato looked delicious too, with different flavors like chocolate grand marnier, chocolate coconut Malibu, caffe Strano and candy cane. I will want to come back to try the gelato in future.

I enjoyed the hazelnuts in this Gelato at UNO gelato absolutely beautiful on a Monday evening.

Best gelato I had! If you like the OG Bella Galleria, you must try this place. It is a hidden gem in kits and i consider this spot to be my new favorite for gelato.

I've been here twice, most recently for the Hot Chocolate Festival in Vancouver, and I've been pleased both times by the kindness of staff and deliciousness of gelato! The hot chocolate feature was one of the best I've had with a dark chocolate (vegan) gelato that you mix in with some To Live For poppyseed loaf. SO GOOD! And in a great location.

Been meaning to get back to try Uno Gelato since our first visit a few months ago. This is their location in Kitsilano which is a few doors down from Thomas Haas. There's two other locations (Stamps Landing and downtown). We dropped in on a Saturday afternoon (around 2:15pm). It's small inside with two tables but there's a small bench out front. Service wasn't the friendliest but at least we were able to sample half a dozen flavours. There's 12 flavours up on the board along with half a dozen featured ones. Prices are on the high end ($6.50 single scoop, $8.50 double scoop) but waffle cone is included. Four types to choose from; gluten free, charcoal, waffle and chocolate. - Double scoop ($8.50) - we went with the Buffalo milk lemon (water buffalo milk with Sicialian lemon oil) and mango tango (spring sorbetto with fresh mangoes). Buffalo milk was the winner; creamy and airy. The mango flavour was slightly subdued but if you like things not overly sweet, you'll enjoy this one. Decent gelato but high prices. Doesn't crack my top 3 ice cream spots in town. 3.5 stars.

THE BEST!!!! There is no better gelato anywhere. This place has a wonderful selection of creative gelato. The choices are just right. It's quality vs quantity. Best ever in Canada! I hope they move the business location to a busier area like West 4th for better foot traffic. Everyone needs to try it out because they're basically missing a life experience.

So, really, you are getting ice cream and a show! The concoctions emerged as super smooth, not too sweet, distinct fresh flavorful ice cream.
