If you saw my other review for another attorney at this firm. It's just for that attorney (hence why it's ONLY on that attorney's specific Yelp page). But all the other attorneys that I've encountered, including Elizabeth Yang (herself) have been WONDERFUL!!! I was referred to Yang Law Offices by a parent of one of my son's besties. I figured it would be a right fit as they are Asian and I'm Asian. I believe the issue with the previous attorney was that they were not East Asian (specifically Chinese). The moment I had an issue with the other attorney, Elizabeth Yang contacted me immediately to remedy the issue and assigned me to Clara Yeung. Clara Yeung WAS AMAZING!!! It was the PERFECT fit as she's Cantonese and understands the culture to help me with what I wanted out of my divorce case!!! Also her assistant, Janet Chan is amazing as well. This law office is the 10th or 11th firm I called looking for some legal advice and the only firm that ever told me what I needed. Instead of giving me the run around on forms, fees and such they listened to what my case was and simply told me that I could easily file everything I needed and even gave me the site and sources. They didn't gouge me, didn't make it seem like some impossible task that would take 5k in legal fees and the consultation was free. This is an overdue review of the experience I had with Elizabeth Yang. Having a family court case is one of the most stressful things a family can experience. There was a lot of high conflict in mine with coparenting issues and a need for a suitable custodial arrangement. Child support and support for health insurance services were also a part of our case. Throw a special needs child in the middle and there is a lot to review, a lot of information to weed through, and important strategies and needs to consider. I always appreciated that Elizabeth and Elaine always made sure to include all my requests and complaints into smart and succinct dispositions/arguments for the court. Having a lot of experience with other attorneys, I can say that Elizabeth stayed focused on the facts of the case. She understood I needed help in advocating for our family needs and was on top of it. A lot of attorneys waste your time and money and you go in circles repeating the same information. I didn't experience that here. In addition, I retained Elizabeth's services while I was a graduate student. She has been beyond patient with my payment plan. She is an empathetic woman who is focused and wants to help you and is confident in court. I first started working with Liz in 2014 when I decided to take the plunge and invest in patenting two of my ideas for cannabis related peripheral technologies.
