Yang Market is a great and essential store in the Eckington neighborhood of DC. A good selection of wines, beers, and snacks. They also have a coffee shop and deli. I got their club sandwich and it is quite the sandwich! Packed with three different meats towered high. If you don't like any of their sandwiches you can choose to create your own. The owners and service are great. If you are in a pinch for a quick sandwich or some snacks if you are in the Eckington neighborhood this is an essential spot. They also have a great mural on the side of the building. I plan to make many spots back here.

Top notch spot! I heard about this place from some D.C. list about great sandwiches in the district, and this place did not disappoint. I forget what the sandwich I had was called, but let me tell you it was delicious. Everything was super fresh, from the bread to the shredded lettuce to the multiple meats. You could tell a lot of thought and appreciation for the art of food went into the making of the sandwich. The store itself is very clean and well organized. They obviously care about what the people want and ask for because they have some specialty items. They also have a good amount of products from local suppliers in the area, and who doesn't love to support local! Overall, this place is definitely worth a visit. It's lucky for my waistline that I don't live closer, because I would be here everyday if I could.

Class. Charming. Warm vibrations. Yang Market's new management has flipped this bodega from The Wire to a local foods destination. You can tell that they really care about their market when they engage with their patrons and stock local favorite items on request, such as my fav French bread pizza. Not only do they have local favorite items items in their shelves but a plethora of local foods and drinks from the D.C. Area. The new Yang Market is here to stay and is a welcome sight in the Eckington Community. Black Tie Optional.

Yang Market is a neighborhood corner store in the Eckinton neighborhood of DC. It changed ownership around a year ago and the new owners added a deli. The deli is FANTASTIC! I went for the first time today and got the Positraction. it was great, lots of turkey, fresh veggies, delicious. Can't wait to go back and try some of their other sandwiches. Yang Market is still a market too, so you can buy sodas, drinks, chips, etc. Will definitely be back.

Just stopped in after reading an article in the Washingtonian about the new management and the addition of a small deli. I live a block away and I am ecstatic to have a place like this right here in Eckington! A nice convenience store with some groceries, snacks, frozen foods, medicines, beauty essentials etc. However, the highlight was certainly the Deli! Small menu but rich with options! I tried the Mona Lisa (w/prosciutto, melon and arugula) it was GREAT! Very tasty and filling without being too heavy! The owners were very friendly - in general, a great atmosphere and experience! I hope many will find this hidden gem.

Delicious and huge sandwiches. AND cold Topo Chico in the fridge (a rare D.C. find). The store had basic necessities and local bites. Will be back (when very hungry)

I just had the Effn' World Traveler. I'm willing to leave my dog at home now, if he tasted it, he'd probably understand too.

Great sandwiches and excellent customer service. My problem is your hours. Closing at 8 pm is very early. Please close at 9 pm.

On the weekends, there's a speakeasy in the back, which a lot of people don't expect since it looks like just a sandwich shop from the outside. That alone makes it a fun spot to pull up to if you're looking for something a little different. The vibe really starts picking up around 11 p.m. into midnight, so this is more of a late-night move than an early one. Mikey, the owner, who also works the door, is super friendly and always welcoming. The rest of the staff is cool as well, which honestly makes a big difference when it comes to the overall experience. Every time I've come here, the energy has been right and I've ended up having a good night. If you're looking for a low-key but lively late-night spot Caoo Deli is definitely worth checking out.

Both were done on Italian bread with sesame seeds (love). Ingredients were fresh and well filled. The tuna salad had mayo, celery, onions, lettuce and tomatoes. It had cheese which I don't care for but I was so hungry I didn't mind it. Was curious about the speakeasy doorway but too tired to venture in, next time! There were a lot of delivery drivers picking up orders so it took a while for me to place my order. Wish they'd have a separate order area apart from pickup. I wanted to eat there but it was way too chaotic with security, delivery drivers and people coming in and out of speakeasy door. We took the sandwiches to our car ate them while listening to music and enjoying the hell outta em samiches!!!

Delicious gourmet sandwiches - the March monthly special veggie sandwich, The Truth hit the spot!…read moreThe sandwich shop is tucked inside The Gatsby hotel with only indoor solo seating on cozy bar stools with a window view and some outdoor seating in front of the stadium. It's primarily a take-out shop with a dozen or sandwiches and a few sides. The Truth veggie sandwich was bursting with flavor with sweet potato, crispy eggplant, juicy portobello mushoroom, and creamy lentil aioli stuffed between whole wheat bread. It was so good that I didn't even miss not cheese! Initially, I thought about adding cheese, but glad I didn't and stuck with the classic sandwich. By the time I made it through a couple of bites of the 2nd half of my sandwich, I was stuffed and didn't have any room or a craving for chips or fries that I typically get. It was a simple sandwich with quality ingredients made well. Crossing my fingers that the veggie The Truth sandwich stays on the menu and looking forward to coming back to try other sandwiches!

When I got back to the office, I ate my sandwiches and and a third of it was fat and tasted simple. I'm disappointed, I'll never eat here again.

Little pricey but it deserve and the portions are hugeee anyway so I made my lunch today with the left overs! If its weekend you can wait little long, but it deserve again:) İ really like the pea soup with hot dog. My Greek omlette was tasty. The sandwich is good, bread and everything the way they make. The best thing is the The deli meats they put inside, pastrami, turkey breast, tongue... Aaand I also tried something sweet from the bakery part! It was good too. I like it, I will finish it with my coffee, after my lunch.Maybe they have to add a few thing which made my dairy products... A bit light things:) I only didn't like the coffee. It was bitter and like old taste... Ambience was good.especially when they made the temperature I like the place. It wasn't cold at all. Normally in America they put the AC on. Never check the people if they are cold or not! The temperature was ideal... I think I have to visit the place more often

I loved every bite. I just wish I would have known to get it toasted. The regular white bread isn't doing it for me but that's minor. Tuna 8/10 The tuna was prepared really well, the crunch from the bread and the softness from the tuna was a great combo. The only thing I would change is some more seasoning on the tuna would push it over the time for me.
