Stay away from here. I got a plate with hair in my food. I called the restaurant back he said he did not care and what was the reason why I was calling. I said there was hair and I would like my money back. I had thrown out the food because of the hair and they wanted me to bring it to show proof. Ridiculous and bad customer service the guy that takes orders VERY RUDE!! Does not say thank you or nothing just OK when you order something and hangs up. Yang Yang Kitchen serves up Cantonese, Hunan, & Szechuan cuisine including the standard Chinese dishes and chef's specials. 23 Combination Platters (served with choice of rice and one appetizer) are offered for lunch ($5.78-$5.98) and dinner ($7.38-$7.98). Free soda (Mon-Fri) is offered with lunch specials. I stopped in here for lunch takeout . I ordered Combo 4 ($5.78 plus tax): Shrimp Lo Mein served with pork fried rice and appetizer (I chose beef teriyaki). The service was friendly and fast. My order was ready in 6 minutes and plastic utensils and sauces were included after I was asked if I needed any. The shrimp lo mein had a good flavor with tender shrimp, scallions, carrots, onions, and sprouts tossed with soft noodles. The pork fried rice (light brown color) had plenty of fried onions and tender sweet pork with firm rice. However, the one beef teriyaki stick in the box was a pretty thin piece of marinated tender sweet beef (not thick & juicy as I was hoping for), slightly chewy and gone in a few small bites. The first time I went to this restaurant for take out, the service was OK and the food was your average Chinese take out sort of cuisine. However, a couple years later, I found the new service was dreadful - the guy who took my order was rude and short with me. Perhaps he was having a bad day, but I thought his customer service should have been more professional and pleasant. However, the real problem was with the food. The scallion pancakes were dry and bland; the shrimp pad-thai was absolutely dreadful (NO sauce and only two shrimp! - we ended up throwing it all away when no one in my family would touch it); the House fried rice was overcooked and 'mealy/pasty' and the meats were not fresh at all - they looked (and tasted) like they were a week old. We threw that all away too. The absolute worst part of this experience was the "Happy Family" which was so disgusting in appearance and flavor, that we threw this away too! The only items that were "OK" were the chicken wings, egg rolls and spare ribs. I'll never buy from this restaurant again. read more

Been ordering takeout from here for years. Last couple of times the quality of the food has been on the decline. Tonight's dinner was borderline disgusting. Not sure what kind of meat was in the beef lo mein but it surely wasn't what they've used in the past, looked & felt more like fat. Watered down mustard sauce, everything was substandard. I think this place was made for takeout - the dining room is very open and looks like it needs more seating. It is very clean looking. Call in an order? Did they say 10 minutes? Well, they mean 10 minutes and each time, my order was 100% accurate. My wife & I have grabbed takeout from here twice - each time with something different. The General's chicken was very good and their fried rices (tried beef & pork) have a very good portion of meat. So much meat, that I can't see it being that way for long ... I see it driving up cost too much. I got a great review about the vegetables in garlic sauce and the beef and broccoli as well. Unfortunately for me, the Kung Pao chicken wasn't great. I really don't like water chestnut chunks (5 Dragon doesn't have them) and it wasn't spicy. It seemed like smaller-pieced, overcooked General's chicken. I am going to go ahead and give Yang Yang Kitchen 5 stars because most of the reviews are old, others are unfair, and for what it is, the place is consistent, fresh, and great for the price. First of all, the portions are huge and the food is hot and tasty. The inside is small and casual and good for a quick sit down without interruptions. It is like many chinese food take out places, and it does its job! If you want to pay more so your selfies look better in the background, or if you want fancier fish/meat dishes for 3 times the price, go to the Lilac Blossom. They are pretty good on a good day and the food is a slightly more refined. Anyway, the dollar sign icon indicating that the prices at Yang Yang are high is incorrect. There should be $$ or $$$ dollar signs. Overall, this place is in a great location, staff has always been professional, and the food is yum. Yang Yang motivated me to join Yelp. I got kung pao chicken for takeout tonight, in a combo with white rice and an egg roll. The egg roll dripped oil all over my hand. The kung pao and the rice tasted like the kitchen had somehow removed flavor from all of the ingredients before cooking them. It was so bland (with ZERO chile heat) that I actually thought I might have a sudden onset sensory disorder, and tasted a couple of things from my fridge to rule it out. I'm not kidding. I really did that. To top it all off the fortune cookie was stale. Maybe it was an off night, and maybe some of their other dishes are great, but I'm never going to find out. Update: A day later I've decided that they just forgot to add the sauce, so it was chicken (breaded, which is strange for kung pao), peanuts, celery, water chestnuts, and carrots with no other flavors or even seasonings. I made my own sauce and it became a whole different dish. Shouldn't have to do that. read more

Ready in 10 Minutes! I've grown up on some of the other Chinese restaurants in Nashua, but since moving to this corner of the city and discovering Yang Yang Kitchen, it has become a favorite. I even have my parents hooked on this place. I've never had a problem with my orders and food is always delicious and generously portioned. We go to Yang Yang Kitchen because it is the closest Chinese restaurant to our house. We've never eaten at the restaurant. We've only gotten take out. The quality is reasonable and the price is comparable to other Chinese restaurants in the Nashua area. They are very efficient at getting your food out quickly. The menu has all the standard dishes you would expect to find. One item I have not seen at other places in the area is the Hot and Sour Soup with Noodles. If you like hot and sour soup, and want to try something slightly different, I'd recommend giving this a try. read more
