The service was excellent. Our server was helpful making suggestions for the restaurant's special dishes as well as ones that were not too spicy. The restaurant seems clean and formal (not casual or dirty). The location is convenient since it is so close to the Huntington across the street. The food was okay. Lots of meat in the potstickers (which they called something else), but the wrappers were thicker and more rubbery than I am used to from California. The sauce was very good, not too sweet. We got a bowl of white rice, and Chicken Amazing. There was lots of chicken pieces and more than enough to share with a senior citizen. Cute spot for semi casual Chinese restaurant. The portions were great and drinks? Strong. They offer you wonton chips in the beginning of your meal which was a nice gesture. The server was attentive and sweet. It's a good spot for family style meals. I was a fan of they're general tso chicken and the boneless spare ribs were a hit as well. read more

I've been visiting Chinese Restaurants my entire adult life. I've eaten in Chinatown Boston, San Francisco, Honolulu, and Hong Kong. The food was superb. My wife and I had had pre-ordered a whole Peking Duck for a 1pm reservation, on Thanksgiving day, 2025. We were seated at 1pm, the wait staff was at our table at 1:05 taking our appetizer and drinks order. We ordered the wonton soup and the fried Peking Raviolis. I cannot begin to describe the goodness of the wonton soup. The stock and the wontons complimented each other I've not experienced since my visit to Hong Kong. This soup is usually my quality measure of a Chinese restaurant. Their serving made my day. The Peking Raviolis were good as well. While most Chinese restaurants have switched to more of a gyoza (Japanese style) dumplings, the Lilac Blossom's serving were reflective of the traditional dumpling. The filling was tasty as well. Every restaurant serves the Peking duck differently. One of my early exposures to this routine was a restaurant near Victoria Park in Hong Kong. A cart of ducks were rolled out to the table allowing you to select your duck. After about 1/2 hour the whole duck came back to your table. The wait staff would then put on a show slicing up the whole duck to fit the pancakes. The show was impressive. This showmanship is rare here in the USA. Our duck was carved in the back and was served on a lovely platter. It was accompanied by the pancakes and a tray of thinly slice scallions and cucumbers. Hoisin was served in a separate dish. These were the best pancakes I've ever consumed with this dish. Not only where they tasty unto themselves, but they were 6 or 7 inches in diameter. Larger than any other restaurants. They were also plentiful. In other stores I would have to order extra pan cakes (usually extra $$). The mixture of crispy skin, tender duck, hoisin, scallion, and cucumber was just heavenly. The ambience of the restaurant was good. Before COVID we used to frequent the China Pearl on Tyler Street in Boston. Walking into that place you were transported back to China. On a side note, China Pearl in Boston has finally reopened, but it is just a shadow of its former self. Lilac Blossom is a well kept store. The decorations are stuck between 1970s and China. The staff was prompt and courteous. This will sound odd, but we were not seated in the right section of the restaurant. Unknown to us and the hostess, folks pre-ordering a Peking Duck are seated in a special section. The wait staff in that section have the skill set carving up and serving the Peking Duck. We were already seated with drinks and appetizers. The wait staff left us at the table with the Peking Duck staff serving us where we were. No harm, no foul. I used to think Boston was the only place to get the quality food and service for Chinese food. Lilac Blossom is my go-to presently. read more

I've been coming here for a few years with the family/inlaws. We have never had a bad experience here. The food it that great. Everything is very fresh and clean tasting. The last time a group of us were there in May 2025 , we had all agreed that this what the best meal we ever had there. Our server was also excellent. The waitstaff there usually is. My mother's favorite Chinese food was from here! She passed this week and we had a family lunch here. So when you walk in they have a sign saying proper attire required. So when we all got set and ready to order the waiter came over and I hate to say it but his attire was beyond unprofessional. I'm not sure if he has some tragic things going on in his life but his shirt was stained yellow and brown through his whole shirt, his collar was unwashed and dirty. He was just very stained and unwashed and uncomfortable. He was very pleasant but the outfit was very dirty and I'm sorry if he's going through something but this was just wrong and unprofessional especially for a restaurant who requires proper attire. i am so upset with Lilac Blossom. I have been a regular customer for many years. i called today at 1 PM to place an order for 4:30 pick up and the person taking orders said they would not take advanced order and to call back at 4. I asked specifically if i would have any issue of them not taking an order - and she said no (i asked since I know Christmas eve is busy), just the length of time to be ready. Just to be safe we called at 3:30 - the same person answered and said they were not taking any more take out orders! The food is very good here! I was getting tired of having Chinese food. I would always choke on the rice like I do when having rice pilaf. I can't eat rice pilaf. At most Chinese restaurants they cook and serve food like fast food. "Next!" At Lilac Blossom, the mood is not rushed. They don't play rock music to rush you along. The waiters are very experienced and add humor when possible. The rice must be "short grain" rice because that's what I eat at home. I don't choke on short grain rice. The last dish I had there was chicken & cashews. And there is Always some left to take home for lunch tomorrow. My wife always orders the Crab Rangoon because it's good and we always get spring rolls with sauce to dip into. Really, Try this restaurant near North West Plaza. Sadly Lilac Blossom was not as good as I recall. In years past, we felt this was the best option for Chinese food in the greater Nashua area, but it has declined significantly. I have not been here since at least the start of the pandemic. I visited today for lunch with a group of coworkers, we were a total of six and the hostess was pleasant and seated us promptly. I recognized the waiter who has been here for years. No issues with service, it was prompt, fast and efficient. Lilac Blossom offers a lunch special menu, and the options include a main course, choice of soup and choice of rice. There are no prices on the website, and we were a bit surprised to find on average the prices were about $15-$17 a plate. I ordered tangerine beef, which I believe was $18. One of my coworkers laughed and said "aren't lunch specials supposed to be about 10 bucks?". While the wonton soup was as delicious as I recall, my lunch plate was awful. I received two decent size fried pieces of steak which were tough and had lots of grizzle. Usually Chinese food is served in bite size pieces so chopsticks can be used (none were offered). Frankly this dish needed a steak knife, as the butter knife provided could barely cut this tough cut of meat. Another coworker ordered the same dish, and we just laughed it off. Our waiter asked if I wanted to take my food home, but what would be the point? Others at the table gave their dishes an OK. The vegetable fried rice was pretty tasteless. I also asked for Chinese tea to drink, and it was served in large mugs. No pot on the table. Refills provided from a standard coffee pot. While the tea was fine, it just felt all wrong to me. Not really sure I would come back here, which is unfortunate. I have many memories of great meals and special celebrations at this restaurant. It might be time for a reboot. Covid has not been kind to this restaurant from what I can tell. read more

We hadn't made a reservation so we took a table in the bar area. We were ignored for quite a while and we flagged down a waiter to get our drink order. He did bring a bottle of prosecco but no ice bucket. Then he disappeared for about 10 minutes. The woman behind the bar did get the ice bucket -- after another 15 minutes. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER. I totally understand that restaurants are busy, especially on Christmas Day. Having spent 16 years in the business, I really do understand, but today really topped things. My wife called to place an order for pickup they said the earliest we could pick up would be 2 1/2 hours. She totally understood and said we'd call right back. I called back to place the order and was asked to hold. I held for 20 minutes then someone answered and hung up before I could even say hello. When trying to call back the phone just rang busy, Again, being Christmas and knowing they were slammed, I drove over to place the order. When I got there I explained what happened and the person at the counter said "Well we're busy". I said thanks for the apology. The owner happened to come to the desk and I relayed the issue about the phone order. His comments follow and I am not making it up. He said "Well we're busy". I explained that I totally understood, but hanging up on me was wrong. He said "Well that's how it is" I said so treating customers like crap is ok? His reply was "Yes, tough luck" I said Merry Christmas and walked out. I can tell you that if I ever did that in my restaurants in the past, I'd be out of business. There is absolutely no excuse for that lack of service and disregard. I understand COVID and the holiday. service businesses should do all they can to provide great service so the stay in business. We came from CT to visit relatives and chose this restaurant to meet. I can't say enough about the experience! We were seated at a round table so that we could visit and talk easily in a very nice room with enough space to visit. The waiter, Tyler, was very pleasant and the food was EXCELLENT! Some Chinese restaurants are very stark or offer takeout only; this was a very well appointed room with space between tables and a rug on the floor. We each had a different meal and each of us was very satisfied with our choices and the way they were prepared. This will be our place to meet in Nashua when we visit again! read more

The atmosphere at this restaurant is on the upscale side, clean, and open, fully carpeted dining rooms, high ceilings and, which has a full bar with TV. The waitstaff sport white shirts and black pants, similar attire to Chen Yang Li (I usually dine at the Bedford location). Takeout is also offered and check out the cool Good Luck Buddha statue on the counter covered in mad amounts of dollar bills! I've seen a similar buddha at Silver Maple in Merrimack. Cash Rules Everything Around Me, C.R.E.A.M. get the money, dollar dollar bill, y'all! -(Wu Tang Clan) The quality of the food is very good, but the portions are modest for the price charged (quality-quantity-price point). The prices are on the higher side compared to most other Chinese restaurants (including the holes and divey places) in Nashua. The dine-in menu prices tend to be slightly higher than the takeout menu prices, a few cents to a dollar more. At this location (Sky Meadow), I've ordered lunch takeout since 31 Luncheon Specials are offered Mon-Sat 11:30AM-3:00PM, and are served with choice of rice and choice of soup. The prices are $8.25-$9.75 (takeout) and $9.25-$10.75 (dine-in). The A30 Prawn & Chicken with Vegetables ($9.75 plus tax) is my favorite lunch special, which is very fresh and delish with tender chicken, firm prawns, broccoli, snow peas, carrot, baby corn, and bamboo shoots. The vegetable fried rice (light color) is pretty good and light, which has egg & carrot. The hot and sour soup is spicy tasting, just the way I enjoy it. I ordered take out last night over the phone and was confirmed it would be ready in 15 minutes. I arrived at the restaurant closer to 20 minutes and told the front desk worker my name and phone number and my food wasn't there. After telling them my information 2-3 times again he walked away and answered the phone. A few minutes later and older gentleman came to me and asked again my name and phone number and they checked and said they didn't have my order so he asked what I ordered and told him. He said to wait a few minutes and he will bring it out. Twenty minutes goes by and still nothing. He then says my order name and asks to confirm my number and what I ordered. Of course the bag he picked up to confirm wasn't mine. He then asks me again what I ordered and wrote it down. 5 minutes goes by and he says my order name again and has my bag. Long behold it was sitting there for 30+ minutes the whole time. He had the audacity to charge me full price which ended up being $65. For 4 appetizers and an order of rice. RIDICULOUS! How sneaky they don't put the prices on their website and they don't give you a receipt. Never giving them my business again! I had been jonesing for Chinese, so I popped into Lilac Blossom tonight. I ordered beef teriyaki and crab rangoons for apps. The rangoons were not even barely warm. The beef was good. I then ordered a spicy shrimp and walnuts off the specials menu. Once again the temp on the food was room temp!! If I order items that are deep fried I expect that they would be hot when served! My family has been a loyal customer for over 20 years, and as the saying goes, "all good things must come to an end". I have a large family and when we are getting together to celebrate an occasion we make reservations at the Lilac Blossom. We made our regular reservations in advance, requesting the back part of the restaurant which has a perfect spot to seat all of us comfortably. There were 13 adults and 3 very young children in our party and the restaurant was advised of this at the time the reservations were made. We were also assured that we were booked for seating in that back part of the restaurant. A phone call was also made to the restaurant the day of to confirm again that we were all set for our party of 13 adults and 3 children in the back section of the restaurant. Unfortunately, upon arriving our party was moved to sit directly adjacent to the actual bar. Not just close to the bar but, directly next to the actual bar. We were understably not pleased that our twice confirmed reservations and seating area were seemingly dismissed but, we decided to try and make the best of it and stayed to have dinner. We placed our large drink and food order. We literally saw our waiter 3 times after that. -The first time was when he brought our drinks and food which was missing items thats we ordered. -The second was when he brought the items that were missing. -The third was when he came and dropped the bill. Never once did the waiter come and check how everything was, if we needed anything or if anyone wanted a refill. We tried looking for the waiter to ask him for some things we needed but could not find him. In fact, I observed other patrons having issues and overheard that when they tried to talk to the manager that the manager laughed at them. I need to correct myself. The fourth time I saw the waiter was when he actually busted through the door and chased after me, my mother and my in-laws in the parking lot to aggressively question what we chose to leave for a tip. Rewinding a little, between the reservation fiasco and the complete lack of service I decided I would bring my concerns to the attention of the manager. Surely, he would want to be made aware of all these things. I couldn't have been more wrong. I saw the manager and my exact words were "excuse me sir, are you the manager and may I talk with you for a minute". He looked at me and said "I do not have time" and proceeded to walk away. I think the only person more shocked than me was the couple sitting next to where this occurred. I could tell they were equally appalled. Now, I like to give people the benefit of the doubt as I know we all have our off moments. I decided to speak with someone that was at the front desk. I explained to them everything that occurred and they were very empathetic and told me that they felt horrible but that there was nothing they could do. When I told them that I tried to talk with the manager and that the manager told me they don't have time, their response was "that does not surprise me, he is an ###hole." To me that is very telling, if your own staff has that opinion of management. This staff person continued to tell me that they wish they could do something for us but that they can't and that the only person that could is the man that told me he doesn't have time. They also told me not to bother trying to talk with him because he won't care. I asked what the man's name is and they told me, Harry. Up until this evening I just kept thinking to myself wow, if only the owner of the restaurant knew that the manager they are paying to be the face of this restaurant is so incredibly pompous, rude and uncaring. Yikes, imagine my surprise this evening when looking up contact info to email the owners about our experience, the owner is Harry. Yes, the owner is the same man that didn't have time to address or even hear of a customer's concerns. Well Harry, I realize the loss of my family's patronage to your upstanding establishment will not have any impact to your overall business. With that said, I am also certain with your complete ineptitude at properly managing a restaurant topped with your horrendous attitude that you will no doubt lead your business to eventual closure. What you need to learn, Harry, is that you do not run the monopoly of the type of cuisine your business serves. The options for this type of food are endless and to end this review on a bright note, another local restaurant will now gain the thousands of dollars of business my family spends a year. Countless customer's will undoubtedly follow us in no longer giving any business to you, not because of my review, but rather because of your lack of even pretending like you care. read more
