Why we keep subjecting ourselves by going back is beyond me.... we went last night and Paul was the bartender... you would think by now at his age he would know how to manage the bar but nope! Everyone was pretty much laughing because we were all in the same boat at the bar. First off he picked and chose who to give a real menu to vs the paper take out menu, we all made him give us the real menu, secondly we needed to call him over for everything we needed from drinks to our food, and it wasn't really that busy but to be fair he had no servers running food to him but again, not that busy, it was the strangest experience and we won't be back EVER! He never even offered us second drinks, so we packed up and left, we gave him 10% tip.. People need to start tipping again on service vs just automatically giving over 20%, this is the only way to change this behavior in servers! If I could rate negative stars I would...after a long week of work my bf decided to treat me for dinner so I didn't have to cook. This is soooo very rare for us lately. I have a severe gluten allergy and It makes it very nerve wracking to go out to eat or trust anyone to prepare my food. With there menu advertising so many gluten free options and Chinese food not being something I cook at home as often he chose this restaurant. Even though it's a bit from home we decided it was worth the trip. The waitress seemed to take my allergy seriously from the start when my food was placed down it was announced as gluten free. I took 2 bites and the waitress came running back pulling the plate from under me to say oh boy I'm not sure...spitting it out immediately didn't matter I'm home and severely ill and I will be suffering side effects for weeks. No establishment should advertise gluten free if they are unable to take it seriously nor when we question even after they announced are you sure because the allergy is severe we are disregarded with a yes to find out it was in fact not safe for me to eat. read more

On the east coast for a visit and while up in the granite state and I figured I'd try this old "regular neighborhood" Chinese place for lunch. When I lived in the area, would stop by once in awhile and while it was "OK" it was never spectacular or even noteworthy. Usually just a place to stop for some American style Chinese food and some nondescript sushi. I guess today was no exception. The typical Chinese specials were if I remember, around $11.00 .Probably overpriced but since I don't live around here, can't really Judge. The sushi lunch specials selection was pretty paltry, so I passed on that and ordered steamed tofu and vegetables for my meal. Got a small bowl of wonton soup, which at least was hot. The fried rice was certainly not like I'm used to from the authentic places on the west coast and Nevada. The rice looked liked it was soaked in soy sauce , but was still pretty tasteless. The tofu looked like it was "raw" not steamed and the veggies were a decent amount of broccoli and snow peas with three (count 'em) slices of mushrooms. The dish was not served in a sauce, but rather with a small ramekin of a soy mixture on the side. Maybe I should have read the menu more carefully but I guess I was expecting a different style of prep and presentation. I mean it was Ok, but thats all I could say about it, just Ok. Service was decent.The female server (number 8) was friendly. Didn't bother to ask about a military discount. Will I be back? Probably not unless I'm really strapped for lunch. read more

My wife and I just got back from over 12 months of touring the country and one of things we really missed was quality Chinese food. We hit up Chan Yang Li today only three hours after arriving home. Have to admit, it was pretty disappointing. We started with two Mai Tais, which was a mystery mix poured out of a plastic vinegar jug, then topped off with what we thought was liquor. The drinks just had a strange taste, possibly from fruit juice in the mix that wasn't fresh. They also tasted very weak. For dinner, we ordered a pu pu platter for two and a combination fried rice. The fried items on the platter were fresh and hot, even the egg rolls, but the beef teriyaki and the boneless ribs were both cold. When we mentioned it to the server, she basically just said sorry, some items are cooked first and cool off while the other items are being cooked. Funny, I've never encountered this at other restaurants, Chinese or otherwise. When I asked if they had heat lamps in the kitchen she said they used to have them, but they either don't work anymore or they just don't use them. This is absolutely ridiculous and no one there seems to care. The server didn't even mention it to a manager. No problems with the fried rice, it was served hot and tasted great. Given their lack of pride in what they're serving, we'll definitely be visiting the many other options in the area when we're in the mood for Chinese food read more

Really disappointed this time. I have been to this restaurant many times and always had good quality Chinese food and sushi. Went for lunch yesterday with a coupon - $5.00 off a $40.00 meal. The bored irritated waitress came back to say the meal was only $39 and change so I could not use the coupon. I told her I was getting chicken wings to go, so she walked over to her boss (who has never looked very happy or welcoming) and we could hear him complaining about the coupon. Too bad dude, we came in for lunch because of the coupon. Be glad you got business from it! So the food was not good at all. meal was tasteless and dry. Rice was the highlight of the meal. After reading many reviews I feel like I visited a different t place. The food was fresh and really tasty. We ordered pork fiend rice (fresh as can be chocked full of veggies and sprouts) the dish called Amazing chicken which lived up to its name so tasty and different and I asked for it to not be to Spivey which they obliged, chicken wings which were large, and the filled up to the brim Crab Rangoons. Well I have to say that I have been here around a dozen times and have never been disappointed. I usually get the General Tso chicken, and my wife usually gets the Two brother's shrimp. These accompanied by the excellent egg rolls are your next step the heaven! Frank and Kimy run a good place, and it is great to see a restaurant that actually puts alcohol in your glass when you order a drink!!!!!!! Highly recommended for food , service and Ambiance. First off, let me start by saying my family and I only ate here because we stopped in for a quick bite after shopping at Hobby Lobby. This will be our first and last. This establishment is basically your basic average Chinese food served on fancy dinnerware to make it look expensive. I personally thought it was overpriced but hey we were already seated and hungry so why not. Then the woman server comes over and I started to have second thoughts. Her body odor was off the walls! I couldn't get myself to tell her cause that would be kinda mean right? Anywho, food was mediocre we took some boxes to go and she brings the bill. I went to the bathroom and came back to this woman harassing my husband demanding a 15% tip like who are you? We tip her close to $10 and she wasn't happy. Never eaten in here, just gotten delivery. I like that you can order online directly from their website. They've never gotten my order wrong, and the food always arrives in short order, piping hot. Standard Chinese faire, though I wish they had chow fun. The ingredients are fresh and cooked correctly, unlike many other similar establishments in the area that overcook until broccoli is yellow and beef is shoe leather. Ordered COVID-19 chinese take-out as a recommendation by my mother-in-law. I really enjoyed all the food it was hot and fresh. The restaurant has great COVID-19 precautions when I picked up my order they have plexiglass and have your food waiting for you. Thanks guys for the great food and care. Food was not authentic sushi had a chewy flavor ask for condiments and waitress brought them at the end of the meal and was not work a 18% tip traveling the USA and this restaurant not work the price and management came and complained about a low percentage tip and he came up to our table and complained for a tip that we paid our meal and still left a reasonable tip for the service we got and the food taste would not recommend it read more

CYL is one of the better Asian restaurants I've visited in the Greater Nashua area. I typically go on Friday nights for either dine-in or takeout. Saturday nights can get be busy for dine-in but take-out is always ready in time. Servers are always prompt and friendly. Love the Mai-Tai's here. Not a big seafood eater but I always like the beef, chicken, and pork dishes here. Can't go wrong with any of the apps here. read more
